July 29, 201311 yr Author Thanks again for the awesome comments guys. Beautiful model!!! Ha, I did not expect so quick start after your words about its performance & was very surprised) Are there stickers at the side doors? Haha, yes I hoped that people would be surprised! :) Doc, Henry Ford would be proud of you. I am too:) I hope so! Thank you. Nice  But where is the fox tail ? I have no idea what you are talking about! LOL  And are you in the Brisbane area? Edited July 29, 201311 yr by Doc_Brown
July 29, 201311 yr Nice work Doc!!! You got the proportions spot on IMO I'm going to Greazefest at Rocklea on Saturday for a bit of hot rod inspiration (and rockabilly music and beer ) Edited July 29, 201311 yr by OzBen
July 29, 201311 yr Looks really cool, grats! Are those 12t bevel gears in the diff strong enough to handle the torque? Didn't you break a few of them?
July 30, 201311 yr Author Thanks again for the great comments! Nice work Doc!!! You got the proportions spot on IMO I'm going to Greazefest at Rocklea on Saturday for a bit of hot rod inspiration (and rockabilly music and beer ) Aww have fun! sounds good. take some pics too. Looks really cool, grats! Are those 12t bevel gears in the diff strong enough to handle the torque? Didn't you break a few of them? yes they are, touch wood I have never broke a 12t yet! The diff in the hot rod is amongst the oldest i have and pretty worn now. Cracks some time. If you wanted to know, "tudor" is a marketing/ play on words ploy meaning " two-door". That or Henry couldn't spell!
July 30, 201311 yr This looks awesome! And btw, congratz on making it on the frontpage of the lego car blog http://thelegocarblo.../30/the-tudors/ Edited July 30, 201311 yr by OleBM
July 30, 201311 yr Thank you all so much for the really nice comments. I'm very happy everyone likes it. Sorry man, but no fake suspension here, all works like the real thing. How exactly does the front suspension work? I cannot figure it out.
July 30, 201311 yr How exactly does the front suspension work? I cannot figure it out. It's a solid axle setup, the most basic suspension there is. See here for info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_axle Commonly used in old cars, muscle cars and trucks.
July 31, 201311 yr Author My apologizes, I completely forgot to show how it works in the video. I'm hoping to make a sorta off-road vid, and will show it there. I used the F1 suspension parts to hold the solid axle in place, but still allow it 1 stud vertical movement.
August 6, 201311 yr Author I missed this one, somehow. It's awesome! How could you miss it!!!! Thanks man, Love that engine design! Thank you very much. For all those that have inquired, I will be starting instructions tonight.

August 10, 201311 yr Author I have discovered a problem with the steering, and wondered why the chassis "moves" when the wheels are turned. Will have to fix this. :)
August 10, 201311 yr I have discovered a problem with the steering, and wondered why the chassis "moves" when the wheels are turned. Will have to fix this. :) This happens with a lot of lego live axles, it is the reason why some people use a 'panhard' rod/linkage to stop this side-to-side movement. :) Edited August 10, 201311 yr by MrNumbskull13
