Its a cute little set with lots of nice useful parts. It was overpriced originally, but it has been on sale at S@H Canada (and I suspect also US) for 50% off for several months now. Still available in Canada. Well worth the money at 50% off.

I think the ship by itself makes a good mini-set, but the Amusement Park overall doesn't really stimulate great bolts of excitment within me. I think the snow board slope (or whatever it really is) is a bit of a let down actually.

You can add a flag because there are 2 "poles". :-P

That actually isn't a bad idea. I think the smaller Pirate flag would actually work better for the aft flag than what's there now. Although it may be a little big.

Both flags I think would be too big. I think one of those 1x1 modified plates with clips works best, shown from the back flag of this ship.

The stud is the biggest problem I have with the flag on this particular ship.

That's the name of the piece, it's a Modified Plate. The Lego company produces a plate that is modified with a clip. It's completely official.

Unless I'm looking in the wrong place there is no 5500-5599. Only 9500-9599.
