Brainbox Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 (edited) However, I doubt it's legit. I believe an image of Starscream showed up in a similar fashion. Yeah, that's what I meant. It looks just a little bit scrawly on a few of the lines. Still, it looks cool. Definitely Soundwave. EDIT (yes, again): Sorry, I forgot to ask. Has anyone in the UK managed to get hold of Legends Wave 2 (Prime, Megs, Screamer, Blackout)? In fact, are they even out, because I can't seem to find them? Edited August 8, 2007 by Brainbox Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I'm pretty sure I've seen Prime and Megatron. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 (edited) Hmm, I'll have to just keep looking. Just found this: CE Soundwave Reissue appears to be out in the UK. Look here. Edited August 9, 2007 by Brainbox Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I could have posted that before you but I was too lazy. Good on you. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Sorry, that sounded harsh. Didn't mean it. I'm glad we're not all as lazy as myself. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Sorry, that sounded harsh. Didn't mean it. What do you mena? I didn't read it as remotely harsh. Anyway, lets draw a line under this and get back to TF talk. It occured to me a few days after seeing the movie that we didn't find out what happened to the machines in Mission City that were altered by the All Spark. Plotline for TF2, or mere diversion? Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I reckon they'd have been slagged by the Marines. They wouldn't have posed much of a threat to the bigger bots anyway based on their size. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 11, 2007 Author Posted August 11, 2007 No, I suppose not. And I doubt they'd be left running around the streets. But it was cool to see more Soundwave-esque 'bots. As in, TFs with 'object' alt modes. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Yes. Shame we didn't see anything of them later on. I was thinking about Dinobot from Beast Wars earlier. What a hero. He was so awesome. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Yes. Shame we didn't see anything of them later on.I was thinking about Dinobot from Beast Wars earlier. What a hero. He was so awesome. "Code of Hero"... one of the most moving things I've ever seen on a television screen. :'-( And again, in the last episode lol. :-D Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I was gutted when I tuned in late and found Dinobot was dead. I think I cried (hey, I was young!). I made sure to watch the full thing on Youtube about a year ago when I thought I could face it. Pity about his toy really. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 I don't think I ever saw that much of Beast Wars. I remember about the first half of Season 1, then a few of the Transmetal/Fuzors episodes, but never got to see the G1 stuff or the very end, sadly. Still, it was 'my era' in that it introduced me to TF. My very first toy was Insecticon. Loved it from the very start. I think, though, that Rhinox was probably my favourite character. I never had the toy though. Pity. Perhaps BW is something I'll look into getting on DVD. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Sadly I don't think there is a Region 2 boxset, only 'Volume' DVDs which miss out a whole load. And I'd miss out on the Rhinox toy. Not very accurate to the show, and has pretty lame weapons (sure, he has the circular saw but it can't be held like the guns in the show). Quote
5150 Lego Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Beast wars was one series that i had mixed emotions about. I had never really cared for the Transformers turing into animals, but yet when it was on, i couldn't help but watch. I think it was the animation that drew me in. It was one of the first to use computer animation versus cartoons. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 What I'm excited about is that a version of the Beast Wars took place in the past of the movie continuity, as shown in the Sector 7 stuff. They have the shattered Golden Disk (good old Dinobot) and apparently some other stuff. Man I love Beast Wars. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 13, 2007 Author Posted August 13, 2007 Sadly I don't think there is a Region 2 boxset, only 'Volume' DVDs which miss out a whole load. What's the point of that? I've come across the 'volumes' in libraries before (never bothered with them), but it seems a bit odd to not have a 'complete set.' I mean, it was pretty popular. Although I suppose it took a while for a complete G1 box-set to be released, as compared to the 'season' box-sets. What I'm excited about is that a version of the Beast Wars took place in the past of the movie continuity, as shown in the Sector 7 stuff. Vader Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Ok so I finally got around to watching the new film last night, my overall opinion is that it was a good film and better than I expected. That said I still felt that their was a lot of bits in the film that just didn Quote
5150 Lego Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Oh and just when did Bumblebee get his voice fixed? I don Quote
JoeMI6 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I saw the film again today, and I really liked it. Now that I've also seen the original animated movie, I got to grips with the characters a lot more, and enjoyed the movie more as a result. I still think that 'What I've Done' by Linkin Park was overused and didn't fit the movie, but as the first time, the action and effects were great, creating a really fun summer movie. And now I really wanna go buy some Transformers toys... X-D Quote
Vader Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 when he made contact with the all spark his voice was fixed. Ahhh yes of course, i remember seeing the sort of flash around his neck when he picked the all spark up. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 If I wasn't a fan since the start I would of found Megs nothing more than just another TF, sure he comes across as evil but theirs so little of the film left by the time he Quote
5150 Lego Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 He'll probably get more screen time in TF2 (if that comes about), along with an Earth mode. TF2 is preety much in the bag. I'm sure megs will make a return somehow. A little bit of his personality was suggested when Megs stated that Screamer had failed him "again." But yeah, I agree, he was perhaps a little underused personality-wise. True. He defenatly could have had more lines. I have a feeling he'll play a much bigger part in the next one. Yeah, I thought that was a bit odd. I attributed it to his learning of Earth's languages, not perhaps knowing what's best to say when. Well, i thought it was funny myslef, but i can see how some would see it a bit over the top. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 Well, i thought it was funny myslef, but i can see how some would see it a bit over the top. I wouldn't say it was OTT, it just sounded a bit... odd coming from Prime. He just doesn't really have a 'my bad' voice, if you know what I mean. Quote

I think the line itself would of sounded better coming from Jazz or perhap's Bumblebee, Prime saying it just didn't fit his character for me. I'm sure Meg's will make his return somehow in the sequal, it would be great to see alittle more of dialogue between him and Starscream. To me the way those two distrust each other has shown just how evil and power mad the decepticon cause is. Quote
