Brainbox Posted January 1, 2008 Author Posted January 1, 2008 http://www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=12201& Lots of new and unique robots, eh? Cool. Quote
zero1312 Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Cool indeed! :-) I can't wait to see it. :'-) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I'm there on torrent sites looking for the next episode, but only finding episode 4. DUH... the first 3 are what was spliced to make the movie lol. I really don't think sometimes... :D Finally got around to finding / buying Meantime. Pretty damn cool, though he doesn't fit around my wrist. Also, his package art shows his feet transformed wrong lol. I'd like to see one of those regular fan customization outfits make an extender section to bridge the gap for adult wrists... and it could transform into a weapon for him! Quote
Vader Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I'm there on torrent sites looking for the next episode, but only finding episode 4.DUH... the first 3 are what was spliced to make the movie lol. I really don't think sometimes... :D X-D :-D Easy mistake to make mate, i have to say that when i first saw the designs for the new show i wasn't impressed. However after watching the first 4 eps i'm loving this new series!!! It's really cool and looks like the writers are taking their time to build up the characters. My only gripe is that i don't like the fact that the cons look bigger than the bots. Quote
5150 Lego Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 For those that missed the first new animated series episode, it will come on again tommorw at 10:30 am eastern timein the U.S. on Cartoon network. Hopfully its all to what people have been making it out to be. Quote
5150 Lego Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Just saw my first episode of TFA. (though i don't know if it was the very firstone everyone else saw) I have to saw *y* *y* . The episode i saw was the introduction of the dino bots. Very intertaining. At first i wasn't sure i liked the bot designs, but they fit very well with the over all layout of the cartoon. Good humor and action thoughout. Can't beilve that i'm say this, but i could see the basis of this working out in a movie. The character design themselfs would need to be reworked, but the personalities of the autobots could do very well in full lenth feature film. kudo's to the story writers. Looking forward to the next episode! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I find it weird that Cartoon Network skipped playing the "total meltdown" one (episode 5) by instead jumping from 4 (home is where the spark is) to 6 (blast from the past) first. Rumor is it was too violent and had to be hacked up a bit... but who really knows the reason. Episode listing: 1 "Transform and Roll Out! Part One" December 26, 2007 2 "Transform and Roll Out! Part Two" December 26, 2007 3 "Transform and Roll Out! Part Three" December 26, 2007 4 "Home Is Where the Spark Is" January 5, 2008 5 "Total Meltdown" 6 "Blast From the Past" January 12, 2008 7 "Thrill of the Hunt" 8 "Nanosec" 9 "Along Came a Spider" 10 "Sound and Fury" 11 "Lost and Found" 12 "Survival of the Fittest" 13 "Headmaster" 14 "Nature Calls" 15 "Megatron Rising, Part One" 16 "Megatron Rising, Part Two" 17 "The Elite Guard" 18 "Return of the Headmaster" 19 "Mission Accomplished" 20 "Garbage In, Garbage Out" 21 "Velocity" 22 "Rise of the Constructicons" 23 "A Fistful of Energon" 24 "S.U.V. - Society of Ultimate Villainy" 25 "Autoboot Camp" 26 "Black Friday" 27 "Sari, No One's Home" 28 "A Bridge Too Close, Part One" 29 "A Bridge Too Close, Part Two" Quote
Pigbrick Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Rumor is it was too violent and had to be hacked up a bit... but who really knows the reason. I remember reading a different reason were it stated that they had to edit it due to the steroid reference during the wrestling scene. I'm not too sure on this either *wacko*. Lord Thrawn Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 *dies of awesomeness* Seriously, WIN. Quote
Pigbrick Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 And don't forget the video that goes along with it :-). They were always real to me Quote
zero1312 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 And don't forget the video that goes along with it :-).They were always real to me I think the 86 movie would've looked like this if produced today. ;-) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 *dies of awesomeness* Seriously, WIN. Sunstreaker's body could use work... hate that I'm hiding behind a giant car hood thing, as far as realistic movement would go. And imagine him turning his head. Powerglide needs to lose the trans on his chest... hopefully it's removable. What a nice bunch of figures though. Pity that Onslaught doesn't have the other 4 guys to make Bruticus. Quote
Brainbox Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Wow! They look really cool. I was hoping to maybe get a couple of the TF: Animated figures this year, but I'm sorry these take precedence. Powerglide I'm not so fussed on. He's not bad, oh no, far from it, I just don't like him as much as the others. Onslaught looks very nice in robot mode, really capturing the look of the classic character. The vehicle mode is slightly less nice, but still pretty cool. Tankor/Octane (I would've preferred Octane personally) is also quite cool. Considering he's a triple-changer, the figure's very well executed. As for Sunstreaker and Prowl, well, what can I say. They both have aspects of the new IDW designs, which I love, so that's definitley a good thing. Again, both look like they should considering the G1 versions. And Prowl has shoulder cannons! "Interesting head reveal" eh? Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I'd say Prowl's crest unfolds from a point up top and Streaker's 'ears' come out from behind his head. Quote
Brainbox Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 Streaker's 'ears' come out from behind his head. I'd be inclined to agree with you there. It's perhaps not 'interesting' per se, but it makes sense. On another note, my TF: Movie calendar image for this month is Screamer. Not as nice as last months Ironhide though. Quote
zero1312 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 YAY! ONSLAUGHT IS BACK!!!! YAY! But he isn't a combiner anymore! :-( Quote
Brainbox Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 Watched the They Were Always Real To Me video the other day. That is just so cool. Although I found it a little difficult to hear what Megs was saying. With regards Onslaught, it's sad he's not a combiner/gestalt anymore, but he was never one of my favourite characters anyway so I'm not all that bothered. It would have been nice to see all five Combaticons though. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Hmm... Wikipedia says that the animated episode "Along Came a Spider" already aired... but days later, I'm still not seeing it yet on torrent sites. Maybe it aired on some obscure cartoon channel in some obscure country. Quote
AgentRick Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Wikipedia says it airs on February 16th to me, also it says "Total Meltdown" aired January 9th. My Tivo says otherwise, as it aired on Saturday 8- Quote
papataz Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Ahhh, Transformers! Along with Masters of the Universe, the hottest property of my childhood! Currently, I have a bunch of Energon bootlegs, that can be seen here, and here,, some Cybertron originals as well as bootlegs (pics here and here), and assorted other toys (pics here and here.) I'm truly excited about TFs: Animated, which, IMO, is the best TF show in a long time. Well, that's about it for my first post on this topic. Will post more later! :) Quote

Brainbox Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 It's just occured to me, no-ones posted any TF news from the UK Toy-Fair. TF@TheMoon report And an update I think the word was that the Animated figs are out in the UK around April, and Universe/Classics 2.0 are out late Autumn sometime. In other news, TF2 status is full of contradiction. Bay said that he's written an outline script and handed it to the now-back-at-work writers, and that the character designs had been finished. But Dreamworks is saying that the production status hasn't been updated, and there's still no official studio. Still, whatever the case, we're being promised lots of new TFs in the sequel, but apparantly... no Dinobots/Dynobots :'-( Quote
Lt. Veers Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 YAY! But he isn't a combiner anymore! :-( Awwwwww. It's fun when they combine! Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Us Toyfair stuff coming out of my earholes and it's so good. :D I'm gonna get Sunstreaker, Prowl, Animated Jazz, Animated Blackarachnia, Galvatron and Octan...sorry Tankor. At least. Quote
