Posted July 30, 201311 yr Sorry about being so late on this, I just had a lot of stuff to do . Anyways, here is my Garmatron build, which follows (as closely as I can, at least) the TV series version. And a picture without minifigures: I compared it with the TV Show so you can see how similar it is. Here's the Front and Back comparison: and the Top and Side comparison (yea, I know, the top of mine is a whole lot smaller then the TV series one, but, there is only so much one can do with a limited collection ): More pics at my Flickr. C&C are welcome, as usual
July 30, 201311 yr Almost perfect, mate! But I've got a feeling that the "cheeks" are a bit too high and, as a result, it lacks the "eyes" part. Also, the little crossbow turret at the top should be red instead of light bluish grey,
July 31, 201311 yr That came out fantastic. The only thing that looks slightly off from the show is those red horns on the helmet. But sadly there is no real alternative for them. I love how much better the treads look as real flat functional treads.

Also, the little crossbow turret at the top should be red instead of light bluish grey, Thanks, the real problem with the cheeks is that the Garmatron set only comes with two of these, so I had to brick-build the rest (I didn't want to buy a whole other set ) and it turned out a bit odd. The crossbows... yea, I don't have any red 2x1x2 slopes, only 2x1x3, which didn't look very good, so I just did it all light gray That came out fantastic. The only thing that looks slightly off from the show is those red horns on the helmet. But sadly there is no real alternative for them. I love how much better the treads look as real flat functional treads. Yes, the treads were actually the thing I least liked about the set (and the main reason that it didn't last much more than 1 day ), but the horns on the helmet - I don't think pieces like that exist in LEGO pieces
July 31, 201311 yr Not into the Ninjago stuff, but it does closely resemble the TV one, which can only be good.
August 1, 201311 yr This is an amazing job replicating the T.V show version! I tried to but gave up . I love how every detail is matched almost perfectly! All in all an amazing job.
August 5, 201311 yr Author Thanks, all! This is an amazing job replicating the T.V show version! I tried to but gave up . I love how every detail is matched almost perfectly! All in all an amazing job. Thanks, it really wasn't that hard when I had the set, it has most of the vital pieces, but all in the wrong places Edited August 5, 201311 yr by Garmadon
August 6, 201311 yr Wow, great MOC! It looks a lot like the original version, and I love the top of it.
August 9, 201311 yr Author Wow, great MOC! It looks a lot like the original version, and I love the top of it. Thanks, although I had thought that the top was the part that looked least like the real thing I wish this would've been the actual set. Oh well, look great! Yes, the reason I built this mostly came from dissatisfaction with the original set
August 9, 201311 yr Pretty awesome. I´m a bit confused about the second pair of turrets, but it´s incredibly show-realistic.
August 9, 201311 yr Author Pretty awesome. I´m a bit confused about the second pair of turrets, but it´s incredibly show-realistic. Do you mean that the green cones look different in the different pics? They are attached with half-pins and fell over for some of the pics Thanks anyways
