Pate-keetongu Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 He's not fat, just big-boned! Bombur, a brother of Bofur and cousin of Bifur, is the newest addition to my Hobbit Dwarves project. It was very different from the other dwarves, and I used Lowell-sphere like technique to achieve the round shape. The rather bright color scheme was also fun to work with. More backstory on Cyclopic Bricks and photos on Flickr. Thanks for watching! Quote
kermit Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Very good moc. Any tips for someone who would like to build something like this like how to get started and plan it out. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Another great dwarve! The lowell sphere technique works very well to give him his round shape and I the boots (are those dark brown catapults?). The use of plate rounds for his beard gives a nice texture too Quote
Infernum Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Ha, ha! Awesome! Love the beard, and great work with the face! NPU with the boots! Great work! Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Very funny. This might be my favorite of your Dwarves. Quote
Mike S Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Although I'm not inclined to build in this scale, I always love to look at these. And this one is just perfectl built! Just add a base and I think you have a nice bookend... Quote
Balthazar Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Amazing Bofur! This dwarf is one of my favourite dwarfes And in your MOC are many great details. Quote
Lynx Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Another great member of Thorin & Company.! I hope you'll post a photo of all those dwarves together, once your project is finished (or you're running out of bricks) Quote
ZCerberus Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Hate to break it to you, but he IS fat. Quote
