Captain Settle Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Victor Revolword had been slain, but not without sacrifice. Many heroes had died, and William Thornton was among them. Fred Thornton has commissioned a tower to be built in his memory. Front: Side: This is a new invention made to help with building tall structures. Someone pulls on the rope, which makes it carry crates of supplies up to the second floor. Back: Side: The ladder takes people up to the scaffolding on the second floor. Here is a worker building up the bottom of the tower. A dwarf working on the stone. The Avalonian flag shows that this tower is an official Avalonian building. A florist chooses which flowers to go on the tower. A worker having a well earned break. This was my MAC entry. Any C&C welcome. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Glad to have you enter! The scaffolding and fig posing are my favorite parts If you have the pieces to make it a little larger, I think 3 wide doors would look better than 2. Also the round shield seems more Mitgardian than Avalonian, perhaps you could replace it with two Kingdoms dragon shields? Or one with decoration around it Quote
Maxim I Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Cool atmosphere you created with this!!! Really funny to see how your minifigs are working and not working Also cool technique for the door, but next time, make it a lil bit bigger Quote
Esurient Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Very nice! I like all the small details you have included in your MOC! :classic: Quote
Gideon Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) A lot of details you've got there considering the small footprint, well done! The minifig posing is my favorite here, and the photography is good as well (although I don't fully agree with how the pictures are cropped). I must admit that the shield had me thinking that this was a Mitgardian entry until I saw the Avalonian colors. Edited August 12, 2013 by Gideon Quote
de Gothia Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Looks very nice Settle. The door do look a little narrow though! You could improve your photos with small tricks. Like the first photo, try to get the whole moc in the pic, the ground is cut off (very little I know). Where did you take the photos? Inside with a lamp/flash? Try to get out a cloudy day/use the shadow and the natural light will help you a lot! Just some tips! You keep improving with every moc! Quote
