Hey guys! As you can see this is my first ever post here on Eurobricks, and this is also my first ever MOC.

As the title says, this is a little maintenance shunter which will hopefully pull round some rolling stock.

So, enough chatting, lets get to it!

This is an all-round shot showing the front and one side, and obviously you can see our friendly driver!

This is the back of the Shunter, with three red brake lights and some rear-view windows.

The other side of the shunter, here you can see the shovel, for a bit of track side maintenance. There is also another shovel, some of you may of noticed, on the other side. Which is for if the lonely driver ever gets a friend! :cry_happy:

And finally you can see the front of the shunter, with four bright lights to light up the situation, and you can also see the orange flashing light at the top, for the recognition that it is a maintenance shunter.

At the moment, this is not powered. I spent the last few hours trying to work out hot to power it. But in the end, I decided that it should have a maintenance cart which it pulls behind it, which not only will have the motor in, but will also have some tools and equipment, after all, this is a maintenance shunter!

Feedback, criticism and whatever else you can throw at me is allowed!

Edit: Fixed the Images, thanks for that JopieK!

Hi! I think this is a good little shunter, and I like the little details you've included such as the technic half-pins with studs. Great use of grille plates and bricks to create interesting textures.

And, of course, welcome to Eurobricks!

Very nice. Quite reminicent of The Netherlands version of the British Railways/English Electric class 08 0-6-0 shunter.

I was thinking the same, it looks a bit like the class 08 just a little smaller. Looks good though and the yellow is very maintenance especially with all those lights.

Welcome to EB and especially the Train Tech forum VectorTrains. So why don't you introduce yourself so we get to know you a bit better! We already can see you have nice MOC ideas. Will you also be able to power it?!

@Heppeng: it was called Hippel in Dutch I think wasn't it?!

Very nice model!

Are you planning to build it with real lego? :classic:

Well, my house is currently having work done to it, but when that is finished I will have a room for my trains, so I will probably build it then. I might even build it for Christmas, I really don't know, but it definitely will be built for real.

Will you also be able to power it?!

I might have a look now, It might need a bit of work due to the size though.

Right ok, I have done a little work, and it can now be powered! I had to extend it by 1 stud, and had to do a little work inside. Here it is:

Here is the front, the extension of the train is not really noticeable. Some of you may notice the little red brick at the top of the train, this actually is the power functions, I coloured it in red so I know that it is part of the power functions.

And the side, I added a couple more Technic pins, to fill up the blank space. You may also see some red through the front 2, again, that is the power functions battery box, which will obviously be grey in the real thing.

I added the .lxf file to this post (Under attached files I think..?) I was hoping that someone could maybe make a parts list which I could enter in bricklink or another website so I could purchase this model?

I hope you like my changes, and hope it hasn't taken the spur from the original thing.

And thankyou for all the good feedback, it is really encouraging! :)

I can't PM you, but VectorTrains, can you have a look at your first post here, the pictures are missing (I removed the links because there was a silly flickr warning placeholder).

Looks nice your update and thanks for sharing your LXF of course!
