I have another question: does my pilot have to fly a generic TIE fighter/bomber/interceptor? I know post-Endor fighters are an obvious no, but I wanted to fly a TIE Experimental Mk2.

As a beginning character, you are restricted to more ordinary vehicles. Not just ordinary TIE's, of course: you could pilot a landing craft, an AT-AT barge, or any number of other ships, but you wouldn't gain access to experimental equipment like an MK2 until you've ranked up quite a ways, probably past 50 XP.

OK, then. Just to make sure does a TIE interceptor counts as a beginning vehicle?

I've said I was an Interceptor pilot since the beginning and it seems fine. I'd say Interceptor, fighter, and bomber are all at the same level.

for those doing the rankings, very high chance i wont be able to get a build in again My first child arrived yesterday and will definitely get in the way of build time  so adjust accordingly ( leave me on the list of course as there is no penalty for listing someone who doesn't enter)

Ok, wrapped up my build this weekend. Gonna work on tweaking things this week, though my one build for the episode is likely as good as I can do as my Tattoine appropriate bricks are pretty limited. I think I have about 4 bricks left over.

Sorry for the tread intrusion, guys...

Congratulations, man! Make sure to teach him or her in the ways of the brick.

Congratulations. I've got a 2nd about to pop out but hopefully got a week or two of building before then.

Congratulations to you as well! In advance, that is. :classic: Edited by Graham Gidman

Congrats! I am bit late though, I need to check this thread more often... Edited by Lord Tyrus

thanks everyone, nearing the end of the second week of daddy life and I am finding that the best way to spend spare time is building (or sleeping) with Lego its easy to "pause" and take care of things that come up(as opposed to MMO's where pausing isn't always an option). big builds are a bit harder to progress on though, but smaller ones seem manageable so far :sweet:

I have updated the Player Index. Will you please go through the index and ensure that you are there and that your picture is what you want it to be? If anything needs to change let me know.

Heyho guys!

I wanted to introduce myself here too. I'll serve the empire as a stormtrooper named Scorch.

About the first creation: Does one of the imperial leaders send me to one of our controlled planets or do I have to choose between the planets in our posession?

I hope I didn't forget anything, please let me know.

Welcome Scorch,

There are two different kinds of builds: Freebuilds and Episode Entries. Freebuilds get posted in the main Star Wars forum and can be anything or anywhere you want. Ideally, you use them to tell some back story about your character or just hone your skills as a builder. Rules for Episode Entries vary; you will have to check the particular rules of the current episode. Do you plan to build for the current episode?

Thanks for the short explanation goatman. :)

To be honest I was a little confused about how this works, although I have read the core rules and some of the entries of other participants. Anyway, I think I just have to post some builds, so that everything here gets a little more common to me.

Yes, I would really like to build something for the actual episode, but the problem is, I'll have to build it on the 1st of may, because I'm not at home for the next two weeks. But until this date I got enough time to build something with an exciting story. :)

Kind regards,

Scorch

If I could have a link to your flickr, or to that picture specifically then I can update it for you. I tried some of your pictures and they aren't linked properly for me to be able to find your flickr easily.
