LegoBenzine Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hi, I'd like to join as a Rebel Trooper. Quote
Empire911 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 It's in the FAQs. You don't have to participate in every challenge. You can jump in, jump out, pick up the game when you have time. (Of course, you can't build for an episode that has passed, though.) Thanks for the quick answer! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Ok, got my Sig-fig: [snip] And also a free build up soon! Hmmm. This sounds interesting. Sign me up as a Rebel Pilot! Hi, I'd like to join as a Rebel Trooper. Player index updated. Quote
Lego Spy Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Yay! I've been upgraded to Imperial slug! Thanks Brickdoctor. I'm so happy. ... I'm going to take another profile pic to fit my title. :P Speaking of which how do you change your Nar Eurbrikka Character picture, and can the sig-fig be of a non-Humanoid? -Lego Spy Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Speaking of which how do you change your Nar Eurbrikka Character picture, and can the sig-fig be of a non-Humanoid? Sure, it can be of a non-humanoid. But it should preferably be Star Wars-ish, and also remember that Stormies are usually pretty uniform in appearance and that the Empire is xenophobic and prefers to employ humans. (Not something that could cost you any points, just something worth considering.) Quote
Jacob Nion Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 remember that Stormies are usually pretty uniform in appearance and that the Empire is xenophobic and prefers to employ humans. (Not something that could cost you any points, just something worth considering.) That's why I joined the Alliance. Bothan and proud. Just about the ingame posts: this is my first RPG on EB, is it good manner to use "" for these posts? Or just something negligible? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Just about the ingame posts: this is my first RPG on EB, is it good manner to use "" for these posts? Or just something negligible? I do it out of habit; it's how I play Heroica: "I'm saying out loud what I put in quotation marks." My actions are in italics, and I can think of things in italics, too — "You're Rebel scum," I think to myself. You can read that to help interpret expressions and other things that are hard to convey over the Internet, but your character probably doesn't know exactly what I'm thinking. OoC: If for some reason I need to speak Out-Of-Character in a topic where I should be In-Character, to clarify something in my post, then I can do it in light grey prefixed by the 'OoC:'. But this should be used sparingly and you should consider whether or not your Out-Of-Character comments might fit better in this Introduction and Discussion topic instead. You don't have to do it, but it can make your posts easier to read. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Due to my love of the Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squadron books I'd like to sign up as a Rebel Pilot. I'm thinking of going non-human. Maybe an Ewok - Yub, yub! Quote
hjmediastudios Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 This sounds great. I'll sign up as a Stormtrooper! One quick question: would animations, etc. be allowed in a special category? I have some great ideas cooking already (as well as some actual, physical builds for once...) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 One quick question: would animations, etc. be allowed in a special category? I have some great ideas cooking already (as well as some actual, physical builds for once...) As a free build, any form of LEGO creation is allowed, be it comics, dios, UCS, minis, animations... I'd love to see some of your animations created for this game! In an episode, you would have to follow the rules set for that episode, which may or may not define one type of creation that your entry has to conform to. Quote
Knightsword Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 As a starfighter customizer, I'll have to go pilot and go rebel. Quote
SandMirror38 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I'm not on the character list anymore :( Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 So is my title an acknowledgement that an Ewok would be OK? Seriously, I know you said we can be non-humanoid, but can we create new races? I have a few ideas (Atlantis sea creatures look quite SW-esque) but am happy to be Mon Calamari (or Ewok) rather than a non-SW face. Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) SandMirror - missing on action already?! Edited August 3, 2013 by MstrOfPppts Quote

I don't see why not, personally....they let any mutant freak join the Rebellion these days... Quote
Jacob Nion Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I don't see why not, personally....they let any mutant freak join the Rebellion these days... But an Ewok (Figure) can't bow his legs. Bad condition for pilots. Quote

Captain Settle Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Do our characters have to appear in all our free builds? Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 If I wanted to join would my current sigfig be okay? It is StarKiller after all.... Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 OK, here are a few ideas I had, would appreciate any feedback from you guys! Onibaba pilot - I like this one but he doesn't use the pilot torso and obviously can't have the helmet on Droid pilot - colours work but may just look like a mirrored visor or something rather than a robot Cyclops pilot - possibly my favourite due to the two different eye prints. Could get a lot out of that. Ewok pilot - Couldn't resist Works surprisingly well. Quote
CMP Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 The cyclops guy is kind of already a species, so you're good there. Quote

Onibaba pilot - I like this one but he doesn't use the pilot torso and obviously can't have the helmet on He recals me distantly the Quarren. Droid pilot - colours work but may just look like a mirrored visor or something rather than a robot I really like it, he could be a particular species with visors and breathing apparat Cyclops pilot - possibly my favourite due to the two different eye prints. Could get a lot out of that. As CMP says, he is an Abyss; however, this species rarely leaves Byss and I think that at the time of the classic trilogy was almost unknown in the galaxy. Despite this, I like it Ewok pilot - Couldn't resist Works surprisingly well. There was a Ewok pilot in the New Republic but I couldn't find his page in Wookiepedia But as you said it works very well Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Thanks for the comments. The serendipity of rummaging through my parts bin, picking out a cyclops and finding out it's already an existing species tickles me Quote
Mr Man Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Okay I changed my profile image for the first time on EBs to enlist in the Empire. Quote
