iH Master 13uilder17 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 i would really like a droideka battle pack, like the one from the new MTT. or maybe even magna guards to get a small force of them. Quote
darkrebellion Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Well I just want that the TLC change the battlepack concept that they have right now . I really prefer a REAL vehicle-laser-ship than a poorly invented one. What about the next ideas: Ewok Glider : $12.99 - RotJ Comes with a small and better designed Ewok Glider in brown color. Minifigs: 2 Ewoks AKA "yub yubs" (Re-colored!) and an Endor Rebel Trooper (Possible new but probably comes with the rumored Endor set). Extras: Bow and a few small pieces that represent the rocks threw by the Glider. Speeder Bikes : $12.99 - RotJ Comes with two new Speeder Bikes (Almost the same as the RGS one). Minifigs: 2 Scout Troopers and a Stormtrooper. Extras: 3 blasters. Battle Droid Carrier : $12.99 - TMP Comes with a totally new redesigned Battle Droid Carrier (A want it similar two the old version, no the new one). Minifigs: 3 Battle Droids and a Droideka. Extras: 3 blasters. Gungan Battlefront : $9.99 - TMP I know almost everyone hates Jar Jar and maybe the whole Gungan specie but I think a new version of the Gungans is really needed. It comes with a new colored Kaduu and it carries one of those things were they contain the boomas. Minifigs: One Gungan Rider and 3 normal Gungan Soldiers (Re-colored!). Extras: 3 cestas and 3 deflector shields. Gian Speeder : $12.99 - TMP Comes with a totally new Gian Speeder in a sand blue color. Minifigs: 3 Royal Naboo Security Guards (New minifig!). Extras: 3 blasters. Atgar Cannon : $12.99 - ESB Comes with a good brick-build Atgar Cannon with some snow SNOT around it. Minifigs: 2 Hoth Rebel Troopers and a Hoth Rebel Commander (New minifg!). Extras: 3 blasters. Hoth Imperial Reinforcements : $12.99 - ESB Comes with a white colored Speeder Bike (Almost the same as te RGS one) and a new better build E-web Cannon. Minifigs: 2 Snowtroopers and an Imperial Commander (New minifg!). Extras: 3 blasters. Geonosian Ion Cannon : $12.99 - AOTC Comes with a new re-designed Ion Cannon similar to the one that comes with the Geonosian Fighter. Minifigs: A Geonosian Soldier and 2 Geonosis Battle Droids. Extras: 3 blasters. This are all the ideas I have now I will post more if I think in another one . Quote
Fallenangel Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I agree with everyone who suggested speeder bike battle packs, Wookiee battle packs, and Geonosian battle packs, as well as Snowtrooper, Hoth Trooper, and Endor Trooper battle packs. I would also like to see a "Jedi Jimmy" style battle pack with random hair and head pieces for possibly existing Jedi, and with either two battle droids and/or a droideka to fight or two to three clones to lead. Sith battle packs, meh... I don't care. However, another droid battle pack (CRAB DROID INCLUDED PLEEEZE) would suit me nicely. Quote
Dark Brickz Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 those are all good idea's that i have read, hopefully we'll get some of those's some time in the near future... i would like to see a republic commando battle pack's and a new geonosian battle pack with sand red battle droids and new geonosians. This is a great idea; I think LEGO needs to cash in more on the whole 'random' idea; that's partly why trading card games are so popular, since you never know what you are going to get in "sets", with some rarer elements than others. They could throw in different colored capes, some chrome hilts and even rare heads of alien creatures. Clones and Stormtroopers don't need variety since they all look the same anyways, but if they go the 'Jedi Jimmy' route then I think randomizing the elements is a must; this would also cause people to buy more than one pack to try and get the next rare item. 3 Jedi with one accessory in each pack, sold for $9.99 (too expensive, cheap?) There is no way in the lego production that they do that. I think its a great idea though. Quote
Fallenangel Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Another idea; MINI vehicle/starfighter battle packs. So all those horribly out-of-scale MINI models will hopefully be remade to scale and be good for something. ANH battle pack; 2 Xwings and one Ywing ESB battle pack; 2 TIE fighters and a TIE bomber etc. and they could sell the Falcon, Slave I, etc. as separate MINIs so no one will have to buy multiple of desired ships. And Natman4000 why do you think LEGO would not do that? If you throw in a couple of speeders or turrets it would make for a good battle pack IMO. Quote
JimBee Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Imperial Hoth Battle PackImperial Endor Battle Pack Rebel Hoth Battle Pack Rebel Endor Battle Pack Well, we're getting the "large" battle pack of the Hoth troopers (Echo Base) later this year, so I'd say that chances of getting Hoth BPs are low. But perhaps sometime in the future, TLG could do a "large battle pack" (about 20 USD) of Endor, which would include two Rebels, two Scout troopers, and maybe an Ewok or two. This would be a comparison to what TLG did with the Hoth sets (Hoth Rebel Base: Echo Base; Endor Bunker: Endor BP). I'd also like to see Gungan and Wookie BPs, but that's really wishful thinking, since CW doesn't really include those armies. Quote
legopiotre Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I really hope we will get a new Battle droid Battle pack, but with the new weapons this time. It could come with four battle droid, two superBattle droid and a small vehicule. The old droid battle pack was good exept the droid didn't have the good arms and weapons It is true some random minifigs would be great but the main problem is that TLC controls the set buy their weight to know if pieces are missing. Captain REX Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 How about clone trooper battle packs for all the well known legions? Im not sure wether phase 1 or 2 is best but: 501st battle pack(blue striped clone troopers one that stands out more to act like a leader. Vehicle: 3 man aircraft) 212th battle pack (Yellow striped clonies. Vehicle and other bits: 1 man submarine scuba jet thing, command post Quote

CloneMe Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Battle Packs: Droid Battle Pack: 2 Magna Guards, 1 Crab Droid, 1 Super Battle Droid, 1 Destroyer Droid Endor Ewok Battle Pack: 4 Ewoks Wookie Battle Pack: 4 Different Wookiees Astromech Droid Battle Pack: 1 Black, 1 Green, 1 Maroon, 1 Purple Endor Rebels Battle Pack: 3 Endor Rebels, 1 Ewok Endor Empire Battle Pack: 2 Scout Troopers, 1 Storm Troopers, 1 AT-ST Pilot Hoth Rebel Battle Pack: 3 Hoth Rebels, 1 Commander Hoth Empire Battle Pack: 3 Snow Troopers, 1 AT-AT Pilot Royal Guard Battle Pack: 2 Blue Senate Guards, 2 Red Royal Guards Protocol Droid Battle Pack: 1 White, 1 Silver, 1 Grey, 1 Brown Quote
Wily Manc Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Battle Packs:Endor Ewok Battle Pack: 4 Ewoks Endor Rebels Battle Pack: 3 Endor Rebels, 1 Ewok Endor Empire Battle Pack: 2 Scout Troopers, 1 Storm Troopers, 1 AT-ST Pilot So far we've had a PT pack, an OT pack, and then a CW pack, so I think the next battle pack will be back to the Original Trilogy. Personally, I hope that they'll produce Endor packs to complement the forthcoming Endor playset - something like the sets listed above, but I'd suspect the Ewoks and Rebels would be rolled into one pack - perhaps two Ewoks and Two Rebels. For the imperial pack I'd expect two Biker Scouts, 1 Stormtrooper, and 1 Imperial Officer/Death Star Trooper, (rumours suggest there's one of these in the Endor playset). Quote
Geopolis Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Geonesian BP: 5 Geonesian soldiers with weapons+ a laser turret similar to the one in the previous Geonesian set. Geonosis red sand battle droids would be really smart too. Gungan BP: 4 Gungan soldiers, 1 kadoo, one booma catapult Older collectors could get tired of Gungans and kaadus. This kind of set could be a little bigger with a faamba (same head mold than the dewback!) and shielding device too. 501st Battle Pack: 4 501st Clones and a speeder +1 but 501st clones could be mixed with Cody's 212th clones. Naboo Royal Security Force Battle Pack (lead by Queen Amidala as in the end part of Ep 1) +1 Imperial Endor Battle Pack[...] Rebel Endor Battle Pack I wish we will get at least TWO IMPERIAL NAVY TROOPERS and 1 black uniform Imperial officer in these very expected BPs. I could add a couple of ideas though* Jawas and droids [...]* Cantina band * Jabba's aliens and musicians Maybe an alien or Tatooine or Cantina or Jabba's guards BP... The Jawa would be a must have in such a set. A Nikto like Weequay (=> also CW pirates) would also rock. Gamorrean, Rodian or Tusken could still be included. Cloud City BP (1 cloud car, 1 pilot, 2 guards) and EU Imperial BP (sea troopers, storm commandos!) would please AFOLs and old RPGamers. Apart Gungan and Naboo BP, the other sets could sell well. iotacode Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Did anyone mention about Bounty Hunters Battle Pack? Would love to see this been real As for the suggestion of other BPs, the Speederbikes BP would get thumbs up from me Edited January 21, 2009 by iotacode Quote
General Magma Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Here are some I would like to see... Please note, not all of them are meant to be BATTLEpacks. Bounty Hunter Battlepack 1x black mandalorian, 1x red mandalorian, 1x blue mandalorian, 1x grey mandalorian. Vehicle: small transport vehicle. Protocol/Astromech Droid Pack 1x pearl silver protocol droid, 1x pearl grey protocol droid, 1x pearl black protocol droid, 1x red astromech droid w/red body, 1x orange astromech droid w/white body, 1x yellow astromech droid w/white body, 1x purple astromech droid w/black body, 1x gold astromech droid w/gold body, 1x grey astromech droid w/blue body. Vehicle: none, more minifigs are replacements for the vehicle. Mos Eisley Alien Battlepack 4x aliens of different species w/short gun, and some of those Mos Eisley rocket-like things. Vehicle: none. SWMAN Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I like the idea of a BP that is a little more expensive, but includes a real vehicle or speeder, not some lame made-up one. Also, the idea of a huge BP with ships, such as an X-Wing and Y-Wing and then two Tie Fighters against it. Quote

Also, the idea of a huge BP with ships, such as an X-Wing and Y-Wing and then two Tie Fighters against it. Like I already mentioned, I really want the TLC change their battlepack "concept" . The PT and OT is full of small vehicles-speeders-laser cannons that can easily been included as the battlepack "extra" (With this I mean the other part of the set that isn´t a minifig ). The thing I now must want as a BP is a Gian Speeder set with 3-2 new Naboo Guards. I really hope the next battlepack is OT-related cause I am now tire of this CWmania the TLC have . Also I think the whole battlepack idea is to build whole armies so I don´t think the TLC would produce a BP about unique or very rare chracters. Quote
Rook Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Ah I like threads like this. The what if stuff. 1. Vong Battle Pack 2. Black Sun Battle Pack 3. Courasant Security Pack 4. Sexy Aliens Pack 5. Misc. Republic Alien Warriors 6. Misc. Separatist Alien Warriors 7. Misc. Rebel Alien Warriors 8. Chiss Battle Pack Quote
Rijkvv Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 I hear many times people who like to see a Snowtroopers Battle Pack. But I've readed somewhere that there will be a Snowtroopers battle pack, with some troopers, and an AT-AT pilot. There was also told about an Ewok battle pack. Is it sure that these sets will be released this year? What I like to see: a Mygeeto Battle Pack. Maybe Ki-Adi Mundi. Three troopers (Snowtrooper helmet with different colors). And the commander (don't know his name). Quote

And the Endor Battle will include Ewoks, but no BP expected there so far. Quote
hopeso009 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 For what I am going to say.... It seems to be IMPOSSIBLE~~! I want 3 packs only 1. Jedi Council Pack: Yoda, Windu, Ki Adi Mundi & etc 2. Jedi Alien Pack: Klo Poon, Kisto, & etc 3. Sith Lord Pack: Darth...............& etc p.s. all should have light saber (in chrome silver handle) & the curved handle if needed. If possible, these would be the most popular sets over all these years~~~ LEGO, make the force be with you~~~!!! Quote

They are supposed to be army-builders and most people will not want armies of Ki-Adi-Mundi's and other Jedi. Generic troops are more likely to be seen in these sets. Quote
RepublicForces Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 maybe a consorium battle pack with tyber zann, ury fenn and to "soldiers" and a speeder thingie geonosian battle pack just 4 geo's and a geo turret maybe a "hutt"battle pack with boba fett(the one they give with cloud city set ) and 3 normal bountyhunters and a speeder thingie Quote
