How much did you pay for your #41999?

I am pretty sure its sold out already, the whole site is a mess and dont think those that order now with the Sept 5 ship date will get a set at all.

When I ordered at 2.30 AM in The Netherlands it still said 'Available', although the bricks indicating the stock level were all grey already.

No delayed release date was shown at that time.

Note: I paid 179,99 so Free Shipping...

Now I am curious when I will receive the set!

It could be because not all sets are at the same location, and so one place sells out but another does not - and so at some point they reassess the stocking and reallocate where the demand is... just a possible explanation?!

Oh yes they are:

Regions are not treated equally in terms of the amount of sets because all the produced 20 000 sets will come from the same warehouse and we won't be dividing them I'm afraid as it isn't really possible.

I don't think so, because i think there are just few stock location, maybe one in Europe and one in US.

It seems the Swedish prices weren't really fair... 1999 SEK, which is equivalent to about €231 or $307.

Comparing that to the Danish, who could get it for 1499 DKK (~€201, $267 or 1743 SEK if you will), less than an hour's train ride away for me, and the other examples shared here, Sweden got the short end of the stick... :/

So I ordered around 08 am (german time) and got the confirmation around 09:30. At 11:55 I got another mail, that one of the ordered products (the boss) is not available right now and will ship later than expected. So let's see, if it will still arrive or if the order will be canceled later on...

I had exactly the same experience.

I think that the grey/yellow bricks indicate the average rating left by users, not the stock level. The new sets have it all grey because there aren't yet (enough) reviews.

And I speculate ... Lego probably has 8000 sets (online & store) for North America... and maybe 8000 for Europe...and remaining for other regions

According to Customer Service, S@H only had ~5000 (someone was told 4700, I was told 5000) in stock, globally. No split for regions. That's what people in the other thread have said, anyway.

Edit: Maybe 5000 is what was made available today, since S@H does state an expected date for later availability.

Just got off of the phone with customer service to check the status of my order because it still says "customer service" that I placed last night for one 41999 and one Delorean set and they said that they might have oversold the number of 41999 sets that they had available.

What the f. So I went to the local lego store which had put one on hold for me. Bought it and wouldn't let me buy two because they need it for kids to buy. I said I have both of my sons with me, what's wrong they are not in the right age group? Lol. The guy was like uh now what, haha. Lame. $199 usd. I'll just send my wife up there.
