August 6, 201311 yr The second thing I did which was most important was change the tires. The balloon tires just don't look right. But with my RC4WD Super Swampers, it looks amazing! Very nice. Aren't those tires Interco IROKs though? I presume they look and work fine when seated in the outside bead and don't require modifying the new 41999 rims?

Interco Super Swampers. The bead on the tires does not fit between the ridges on the wheels, so the tire ends up sitting on top and therefore does not fit quite right. This could be fixed by cutting off the inner of the two locking rims on the wheels, but I don't want to modify these rare wheels. The issue is not really noticeable unless you know where to look. They are technically not seated, but stretched.

August 6, 201311 yr I noted that rims are more glossy (laquered) and less grippy - tire slips more... Also take a look at inner reinforcements: you cant fit lovely third party 108 mm tires (Ansmann/rc4wd) on this rims! I just read this in the 4199 review thread (which confirms Blackbird's post above) and am disappointed that the white wall wheels can't fit third party 1.9 tires. Has this been confirmed by others on other 3rd party tires? I guess I can always use the old 44772 wheels but I was really looking forward to using the two face tires (tire on the left and credit to dluder and 3rd party tire thread) on these new white wall wheels/rims:

Has this been confirmed by others on other 3rd party tires? The problem I am having putting the aftermarket tires on the wheels has nothing to do with the reinforcements in the new wheels. It is due to the inner bead ring on the wheel. Both the old and the new wheel have the same problem. You can fix the problem by cutting off the inner bead rim, but I didn't want to do that with the "special" wheels. You can see in my photos though that the tires fit well enough anyway that they look fine.
August 6, 201311 yr Thanks for the clarification Blackbird and sorry for the misundertanding. Just a little paranoid about RM8's claim that no third party tires can fit on these new wheels.
August 8, 201311 yr Hi, this is my version of the Boss... I've lowered the front axle one stud, so it looks more like a muscle car. rgrds Tim
August 8, 201311 yr THe lines of this muscle car body remind me a lot of the 2nd generation Chevy Monte CArlo. My neighbhor used to have a blue one similar to this. Love it!
August 8, 201311 yr Author every boss needs a support vehicle. so i made an station wagon Yeah! Thats very pretty family wagon:))) Edited August 8, 201311 yr by rm8
August 8, 201311 yr Where did you get the extra blue pieces efferman? I am guessing he bought another set... Buying the parts of Bricklink is really expensive.
August 8, 201311 yr Where did you get the extra blue pieces efferman? I can't see any extra blue pieces. All he's done is turned the boot (trunk) into an extended roof with black parts. I could be wrong, but the side panels and back of the car look the same to me.

August 8, 201311 yr Changed most of the chassis to light bluish grey, still waiting on a couple of parts from BrickLink to complete. Like these... http://img.bricklink.com/P/86/92907.jpg Also added another set of lights. Edited August 8, 201311 yr by WR3KL3SS
