August 9, 201311 yr thanks guys Where did you get the extra blue pieces efferman? there are no extra blue parts. i have only used the backdoor as roof
August 9, 201311 yr just finished building the Boss ... going to enjoy it as it is for a couple of days and then build a new chassis to drop it ... need to get some new wheels/tyres off bricklink for what I'm planning though. hopefully next week or the week after they'll be pics
August 9, 201311 yr Author just finished building the Boss ... going to enjoy it as it is for a couple of days and then build a new chassis to drop it ... need to get some new wheels/tyres off bricklink for what I'm planning though. hopefully next week or the week after they'll be pics Look for chromed ones;)
August 9, 201311 yr quite OT: but do you know if there are instructions for this very beautiful Zonda? Yes. This model was designed by Erik Leppen and you can find photographic instructions at his Brickshelf page. I made the CAD file using those.
August 10, 201311 yr So I managed to put a 2nd set of lights in the boss. Problems is my old ones have a yellow shade instead of bring white shade of lighting. Plus, it only turns on when I operate the wench. Bah, I took it off.
August 10, 201311 yr it looks like its bending in the pins on the roof. yes, the roof is bent a little
August 10, 201311 yr a little bit finetuning at my station wagon That look's great efferman. It kind of looks more like a 70's Ford Bronco instead of a station wagon. I may go with that look after I enjoy the muscle look in a few months.
August 10, 201311 yr Along with changing the gear ratio in the portal hubs, there is an instructional video on youtube to gain more speed (for the 9398 but same concept): .Unfortunately, if both are adjusted for speed, the torque and accelaration is so compromised that it's just not fun to drive around. trying to figure out from that video what gear was replaced with what, can someone explain it to me? I've looked at it 5 times still haven't figured it out
August 10, 201311 yr trying to figure out from that video what gear was replaced with what, can someone explain it to me? I've looked at it 5 times still haven't figured it out No gears were replaced. You just interchange (switch the 2 gears around): the tan 20t gear with the black 12t gear.
August 10, 201311 yr Do not interchange ALL gears - it will result in IR Receiver protection activation! The model will move very fast, but starting only with push and only on perfectly smooth surface :)
August 10, 201311 yr So far, i have seen some great mods. I especially like the color changes and the speed mod, which i'll be attempting to do myself some time soon. I really haven't done much, other than change out the wheels with the 8466 and 8110 sets' wheels.
August 10, 201311 yr Love see a new chassis underneath it. Something like a lowrider somit can drive around on 3 wheels and jump!
August 11, 201311 yr i have made a instruction for my station wagon. you can find it here. here are some steps of it
August 11, 201311 yr It would be fun if someone got licenseplate no 12562; it's my birthday. Hopefully the owner is willing to trade his plate for mine. (05398) OOPS.. Wrong thread... My mod so far: Set of extra headlights.. Edited August 11, 201311 yr by JunkstyleGio
August 12, 201311 yr I was wandering if anyone, possibly Blakbird, has complied a list of parts needed for a black chassis? I really like the look of that over the red. This being my first large technic set, I am looking for any help
August 12, 201311 yr Well when I finally get around to building this set, Ill try to add third party tires, another set of lights, and make them powered by a switch. So, I was wondering if there was enough room in the cockpit to add another switch?
August 12, 201311 yr I was wandering if anyone, possibly Blakbird, has complied a list of parts needed for a black chassis? I really like the look of that over the red. This being my first large technic set, I am looking for any help I had such a list, but it was wildly inaccurate. I started with the 9398 inventory and just changed all the red parts to black, but that neglects all the different red parts in 41999. Assuming Bricklink has an inventory for 41999 now (it didn't at the time), you can just do the same thing. Download Brickstore if you don't have it already. Import the inventory for 41999, then delete everything that isn't red. Change what's left to black. Upload that to Bricklink as a wanted list, and you are ready to go. There are some exceptions like 2L axles which will stay red.
August 13, 201311 yr rebrickable has the full list for 41999 http://rebrickable.com/sets/41999-1/4-x-4-crawler-exclusive-edition-quot;boss-crawlerquot;-co-cr-technic-2013 Just change the beams and connectors to black and you are good to go, I actually bought a bunch of 2L axles off bricklink that were black as well.
