LEGO Guy Bri Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Change what's left to black. Upload that to Bricklink as a wanted list, and you are ready to go. There are some exceptions like 2L axles which will stay red. rebrickable has the full list for 41999 http://rebrickable.c...cr-technic-2013 Thank you for your help Blakbird and jadedomg, unfortunately Brick Link doesn't have a parts list just yet. I still have to figure out the "wanted list" there as well, but I can't imagine it's complicated Quote

I still have to figure out the "wanted list" there as well, but I can't imagine it's complicated If you read Blakbirds post, just change 41999 to 9398 and you'll be fine Download Brickstore if you don't have it already. Import the inventory for 9398, then delete everything that isn't red. Change what's left to black. Upload that to Bricklink as a wanted list, and you are ready to go. Every time I tried to import to Bricklink, I'd either get "mass import issues found" or Brickstore freezes. I guess I'll try to do this piece by piece on BL. Getting this list may take some time Quote

Getting this list may take some time Too bad it's not working. Brickstore rules! I can do it for you. Just give me a minute. By the way; how do you import the 9398 set? File, import , bricklink set inventory, select all, filter by 9398? Here are the files you need: Brickstore red parts Bricklink wanted list for red parts Brickstore black parts (replacement for red parts) Bricklink wanted list for black parts Beware that you should probably replace the black bushes with gray ones. http://www.banti.nl/CrawlerBlackReplacementParts.rar Hope this helps! And please get Brickstore up and running, it's awesome Edited August 14, 2013 by Gekke Ted Quote

Jim Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Hi Ted, thanks for trying to help, but I'm not sure if this link worked Not sure? Or it doesn't work? Don't see why it wouldn't work. Do you have downloads blocked or something? It is a link to a .rar file, so maybe something on your pc is blocking the download. How about this? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2310768/CrawlerBlackReplacementParts.rar Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Not sure? Or it doesn't work? A little of both. I can download, did for BrickStore Quote
Jim Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 A little of both. I can download, did for BrickStore Not sure what you mean Did you manage to download the .rar file? And is the wanted list usable? Quote
Seasider Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well hopefully below you'll see my Work-In-Progress BOSS mod ... can't call it a 4x4 Crawler anymore! First job was to remove the body and make it a single assembly, I've done most of this as you can see, it's a little messy in places and I'm still working on the front lights/bumper and removing the winch and working out how to attach it all. Second job was to work out the positioning of the wheels and then put together a very quick chassis to hold them in place. I haven't added any motors etc yet it was just to work out the wheel to body relationship and give me a package envelope to work with. I think the underbody is going to be angled at the front and rear and hopefully raised in the middle so the body looks a lot thinner there. Wheels are from the recent GP car in case you wondered (I'm hoping the MOC hot rod gets some instructions released at some point !) Quote

GDomino Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) If you want standart muscle car, you need smaller tires. I think that looks great!!! It goes with the new trend I've been seeing here in California for oversized wheels/rims. Instructions would be greatly appreciated. Edited August 14, 2013 by GDomino Quote

Seasider Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) rm8 - what lower profile tyres can I get for these rims? Personally I thought US muscle generally ran on deeper profile tyres than European and Japanese performance cars GDomino - I've no idea how long its going to take me to finish and no idea how to go about making instructions up, but ill definitely post a load of pictures of the finished model so hopefully someone could reverse engineer Edited August 14, 2013 by Seasider Quote

GDomino Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Ok, but that is not standard:) Well thread title does say "pimp my boss" - so I wasn't talking about "standard", but hey, it's all about preference. Just saying seasider's mod still fits the new trend here in the US for high risers/ and over sized wheels (see pic): Quote
750ACE Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Yes a trend indeed here in the U.S.A. looks like a roller skate. Quote
FuzzyBallz Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Hmmm, I'm gonna try the 8070 wheels/tires on the 41999 when I get home tonight. Looks quite interesting. Quote
Seasider Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Sounds like I better get up in the loft tonight then and find my 8285 set and see what those wheels/tyres look like. FuzzyBallz - any chance of a photo of it on 8070 wheels/tyres before I go and buy some? Quote
gerkenz Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Well hopefully below you'll see my Work-In-Progress BOSS mod ... can't call it a 4x4 Crawler anymore! Oh no..that's exactly on my todo list. looks good so far. Quote
