[MOC] Wrestling Ring (WIP)

Still very much a newb to the whole AFOL thing, but I wanted to have a go at my first MOC, a wrestling ring. It's still very much a work in progress - I want to fix the announce table, replace the ropes, add some guard rails for the first row fans to stand behind and an entrance ramp area, maybe even a proper ring apron if I get ambitious enough - but I like what little I have so far. Feedback / suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Very interesting concept and what you have created so far looks pretty good. The ropes would definitely look better in my opinion if replaced with lego strings.

I've been working on making a micro-scale ring but the proportions are odd and very difficult to include the ring posts.

I want to have chairs for these guys so badly! Does anyone (official or otherwise) make minifig-scale folding chairs? Regular Lego chairs would just look kinda weird.

I definitely want to replace the ropes somewhere down the line, but I wanted to have something in there as I was building it and ribbon from the wife's craft table was the best of what I had access to then-and-there.

Awesome work! Jerry Lawler and Good Ol' J.R. are instantly recognizable, as is Cole. Not bad, but the ropes would look better with Lego rope. Otherwise, fantastic ring!

I've looked around at the various Lego rope options and nothing really has the look I'm after. I think craft store jewely cord might be closer to what I want. I may pick some up soon.

Finally ordered a bunch of guardrail/barrier pieces for ringside from BrickLink. Looking forward to getting that set up soon!

Thats fantastic. definiately have to show this to my son, who is a huge wrestling fan (me, not so much). On my fire truck MOCs I used shoe laces for hoses, that might work for your ring ropes, or ever that string kids use to make friendship bracelets (it's colorful too).

To get the Undertaker: Take the black hat you already have, use a black suited torso and black legs. Plus a black cape and grey head from the Emperor Darth Sidious. :) Put additional two 1x1 black bricks under the legs, to make him taler.

Paul Bearer is also very simple: All black suite, a scary white head from Monster Fighter plus black kids legs.
