I ordered mine at 4:00 CEST, and only the mini-mech was shipped. The crawler will be shipped later, according to an email TLG sent me twice.

In my country, several people that placed their order later than me in the morning will receive the crawler very soon. It seems a bit unfair for me.

Now, I have to be patient.

Exactly what I was thinking. Cheaper than the Lego rechargeable box and no mod for the 41999 will be required.

The LEGO battery is worth the cost, and can't be compared to Ni-MH. It's an easy mod to get the battery in firmly. I did it with parts included in the set.

I would like to know the same thing! Mine still says in process for mini mech, and backordered for the crawler.

My has been saying " in process " for days now, whatever that means.....i give up....it will be a suprise if anything ever happens????

Yes! Mine got marked as shipped just this afternoon. Not sure if that means it's been shipped from Denmark or from somewhere down Under. The tracking number doesn't reveal anything yet.

My Minimech arrived last Friday. It's been mentioned before, but I really think is strange (i.e. useless and expensive) that TLG sends the complimentary model for free right away. Don't get me wrong; I am not complaining, but still.

Got mine shipped today 16:30 - finally after 5 days woohoo

now just have to wait for the EV3 to be available for pre-order, in Australia.

it could be that said pallet has already arrived. perhaps they waited until all the orders were made to get the right number, speed a container from billund last week, which has now arrived at some Australian distribution centre, and we'll have them in a couple of days.

I'm glad you folks down-under are getting your shipping notices. It seems S@H websites all over the world just took a beating with so many orders in the first few hours after midnight Aug 1st and it has taken them this long to figure out who to prioritize first. Obviously the first purchase verifications and " manually" checking for multiple orders and mult creditcards per household added a lot more to the chaos.

My minimech arrived on Saturday (I didn't even know they were doing deliveries on Saturday...), strange indeed to ship it separately. But I guess it is easier for them to do that, than put it away somewhere until the rest of the package is ready (as they have to keep it in stock just for you, not rely on the global stock, which may be empty when the rest of the package is finally available).

At least I guess it somewhat confirms that we will get the other model later.

Hmmm never thought of it this way, but that seems logical. On the other hand; we didn't choose the complimentary model, so they can send what's available at the time of packing the entire order. But you are probably thinking in the right direction.

Hi all, another Aussie customer here, only just found this place. Can't believe I hadn't found it earlier!!

Just got off the phone with CS, my status is "backordered" too, the lady on the phone said not to worry, everything will be fine, though I imagine she's just trying to display a rosy facade so there's not a worldwide riot. I asked explicitly if my order was far enough up the list to guarantee me a set (I ordered shortly after midnight Europe time) and all she said was "not 100% sure, but it's more than likely". I suspect she's alluding to the fact that TLG are going through the orders and filling them randomly as has been suggested in earlier posts. Doesn't fill me with the greatest confidence to be honest, will just have to play the waiting game.

Funnily enough, orders are still able to be placed online, even though it must surely be oversold by now. Perhaps the best tactic would be to order as many of them as possible to maximise the chances of winning this lottery and getting one that ships, then cancelling all "in process" and "backordered" ones. Someone at TLG seriously dropped the ball on this one.

I had the same problem ordering my 10179. I ordered then using my credit card. A few years later I wanted to order the R2D2 and thought now they would accept invoice but again they wrote the price is to high. Since then I always use directly my credit card to not have any backorders...
