LEGO Cuusoo projects of interest

I thought it would be interesting to have a thread where we share projects from Cuusoo that we find interesting. I like seeing the range of MOCS that can be made from Lego bricks and this site has some really interesting ideas. Apologies if there is already a topic about this.

I find the microscale style of building to be really interesting and would love to see more Lego sets that use this style. I think this set would also make a great playset for kids with an interest in vehicles, because it could contain a wide range of trucks while still being practical in terms of storage space.

I think that this is a really interesting interpretation of Mondrian's work in 3D and a unique design for a house and car. I think that the micro swimming pool is a nice touch.

I think that these brick-built animals are beautiful and would make great display pieces. They also have educational potential and I would love to see sets like these released with informative Architecture-style booklets.

If you are a ghosthead, you should support both Ghostbusters projects on their journey towards 10k

Supporting both and pushing both over the 10k line makes it more likely that LEGO will consider a Ghostbusters set for production.

Lego Worms: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/46389. This a new project that was only put up today. I love the Worms series' quirky and absurd humour and, in my opinion, there is potential for a lot of visual variety in a Worms theme due to the variety of landscapes and the often ridiculous weapons.

That Gameboy Transformer is fantastic! Is the Transformers franchise owned by Hasbro, though? It would be difficult to get that license, since Hasbro is certainly a competitor. Nintendo's license shouldn't be that difficult to get, I assume.

My interest is in the Lord of the Rings, and I love the Minas Tirith and Edoras projects.

I was really hoping this would have progressed further by now, or at least TLG would have already initiated their own take on this, but the city bicycle is in need of a makeover. Or at least new variations (mountain, road, bmx, etc), especially with last years forest themed releases and previous years campers. 28 years of the same thing is way out dated, even the horse got a new look.

I was just about to post these. The Forbiddon Pool is fantastic, and both Edoras and Minas Tirith are everything you could hope for as official sets.

Being one who's grown up in the American driven entertainment culture, I can do without TLG licensing any more stuff from TV land and Hollywood. I think the DC3 is a great idea. I also like the Starbucks/Barnes and Noble modular building. Any product where a kid starts with a pile of bricks, some electronic components and his own imagination, well, that also gets my vote.

But what if your own CUUSOO project is interesting?

(j/k. No worries; none of the proposals I'm mentioning here is mine. I don't even have any yet, though I do intend to change that.) Some of my favorites that I'd like to see include three different projects that appeal to me as a LEGO Indiana Jones fan. The first is LEGO Indiana Jones: Major Toht's Mercedes - the proposal model could probably stand a bit of refinement, to be honest, but the underlying concept is sound. Even if the final model retained exactly the same build (which of course it wouldn't), it would still be a desirable set for LEGO Indy fans, as it would finally give us Belloq in his more iconic, off-white-suited look, along with Toht and Dietrich.

Next, we have LEGO Indiana Jones: Ant Ambush - as with the above model, the proposal model here is a little on the rough side, but the set concept is solid. I'd particularly like to have this one because it would mean finally getting minifigures of Harold Oxley and/or George "Mac" McHale, plus more giant ants.

Finally, there's LEGO Narrow Gauge Track System - while obviously a major part of the impetus for having this project would be to expand upon the track from The Temple of Doom, this project would have far-ranging application beyond that; I'm sure there are a lot of LEGO trains enthusiasts who would love to have a more fleshed-out narrow gauge track system than that provided by the two narrow gauge track elements that currently exist.

But what if your own CUUSOO project is interesting?

I know you're joking, but just to be clear on our policy for promoting your own Cuusoo project(s):

CUUSOO: If you have a great MOC, that is also a CUUSOO project, you may present it on EB as you would any MOC, with a single link to the CUUSOO entry. Make the title about the MOC, not the CUUSOO business; don't be too shouty, and it is likely to be tolerated. You need to be thinking: 'I want people on EB to see my MOC and comment on it. If they like it, perhaps they'll support it on CUUSOO', rather than: 'I want CUUSOO support! If I post it on EB, perhaps more people will vote!.

I supported Torsenfreund's Harrower-class Dreadnought recently. I thought it was really well planned MOC that could show TLG a thing or two about making appropriate cruisers and capital ships. In all honesty though, even if it were to make it to 10,000 supporters I don't thinking TLG would publish it because it doesn't fit with the current vision of star wars lego. If anything, I would want TLG to notice the avaliable space on the inside while still being able to make a grand exterior.
