Hello all!!!

I want to show my funny MOC - Tower Crane Mk II (the first Tower Crane is a history now :)

It has four RC functions (four M-motors) and it is telescopic!

Its normal height is 145 cm. But it can rise himself up to 210 cm!

For the counterweight i used three battery boxes with batteries

Thanks for watching!!!

Awesome! :classic: How much can it lift?

It depends on the distance between bogie and tower :) The yellow container on video includes two weight-bricks 2x2x6. For additional stability it is possible to add in the base of the tower four more BB!

I am surprised you didn't need more weight/bracing at the bottom! The extendable stand is cool too.

How does it extend? I first thought gear racks but can't see any. Still though a really impressive crane.

Omg! That thing is just awesome! Great work! Really cool extendable stand!

Thanks all!!!

There are no gear racks in this model! I used a thread that is winded to the reel! Due to 1:40 gear ratio and a simple polyspast system the extension is provided by one M-motor. For stability improving all the motors are placed in the bottom of the moving part of the crane!

Great build. Interesting idea telescoping the tower, many advantages over a jacking frame. Nice use of both studded and studdless beams.

That is awesome! I love the telescopic rise.

I build a tower crane after xmas, but it was a failure. :cry_sad: I couldn't get the boom trolly thing to run along even with no weigh

Any chance of some closer pics so i can see how you did it?

Thanks all!!!

Ok i see. I've been thinking about a similar solution for a project i might start.

Really nice, i do love these massive models, just wish I had the space. I think the hiding of the batter box in plan sight is fantastic

ahh I see, you have 2 reels! I only had one, and it kept spinning around not doing much.

Thanks for that!
