May 6, 201410 yr Picked up an entire sealed box from my local toy store who just happen to do a VIP 20% off Lego deal. Seeing as both my girlfriend and I wanted a set each I figured why bother standing around feeling bags when I can do it at home. My mate has already put his hand up for the other complete set, then I can just sell off the extras to other friends or just return them.
May 6, 201410 yr Well, stopped by Target again today and did some more feeling. I don't know how you guys are able to feel the differences in the bags, or if there is some technique I don't know of, but with the folded paper in there coupled with the flat black piece, I just can't accurately feel out the character heads. Especially when so many seem to have spiked hair on them. I was able to feel out Marge's head pretty readily since it is the most distinct, but both myself and another guy there who was feeling out bags to purchase for his kids (at least, that was the story) was having a lot of trouble. The accessories give it away, took myself and my girlfriend 40 minutes to find all 16 characters. And it was my first time ever buying collectible minifigures
May 6, 201410 yr I blindly put my hand in the bin and got 24, then I was missing like five, then my wife went to the Lego store and had the clerks search for the others and got success. Now I have a ton of extras... I did not know that Lego stores only let you buy 16 at a time!!!
May 6, 201410 yr Definitely feel for the accessories. A lot have a 2x2 tiles, but then that is when you feel for the head or second accessory of they have one. I didn't think the heads were as bad as I originally expected.
May 6, 201410 yr You need to feel for the accessiores and not the heads, that is indeed pretty hard! Maggie, for example has a teddy bear, which is pretty easy to feel for because of the arms on each side. Very unique feeling part! To find Itchy you need to feel for the spiked club, that should not be too hard either. Wiggum has a megaphone and a short club. Try to separate the legs, torso and plate into one corner of the bag, so you can feel for individual pieces :)

In my first go-around, I picked up 10 different characters out of 11 bags picked up. This time, since I have pretty much no confidence in my ability to identify the characters in the bags, I only got three new characters out of the 11 bags picked up. I was able to add Marge, Grandpa, and Ralph. I also picked up a Homer, Lisa, Flanders, Ralph, Krusty (x2), and Milhouse (x2) to go with the extra Nelson I had from the first batch. Still need to find Maggie, Itchy, and Chief Wiggum. Focus on the accessories they have with them: Maggies bear for example. That helped for me!
May 6, 201410 yr I went for the accessories then the heads.....that's how I got all 16 of them in two days. Actually they were easier than the usual collectables.....of course it must the heads that give them away !
May 6, 201410 yr Six days in (and maybe even sooner than that!) and the minifigures have sold out on Shop At Home- sooner than the TLM series! I hope this means we'll get a Series 2 next year. Maybe Series 2 will have Smithers, Carl, and Lenny, and then we'll have a Nuclear Power Plant D2C? Then we can have work suit variants on Carl/Lenny, an eye variant on Waylon with sleepy eyes or something, and alternate work suit variant from Homer as it appears differently even from the 71006 version in some episodes, and a blue suit Mr. Burns? Rumor on the streets (Brickset forums) has it that we're seeing a Moe's and Quick-E-Mart set early next year. I find that very unlikely, but who knows. Edited May 6, 201410 yr by just2good

Quick-E Mart isn't completely unbelievable. I would think LEGO could make a pretty nice set with a lot of awesome details in it! Hopefully it would be modular
May 6, 201410 yr Quick-E Mart isn't completely unbelievable. I would think LEGO could make a pretty nice set with a lot of awesome details in it! Hopefully it would be modular Yeah, a Quick-E-Mart isn't unlikely at all. It's just that the source of the rumor was the same who said there would be a Moe, which will probably never happen. A modular style is alright, but I would want it in the same style as The Simpsons House. That would only happen if it's a D2C set most likely. So here's to hoping.
May 7, 201410 yr Went out to my local Target and randomly picked some, more fun for me that way! Got Itchy, Chief wiggum, Ralph, Mr Burns, Krusty and two Homers at least i got that awesome doughnut puece
May 7, 201410 yr The Kwik E Mart definitely sounds more plausible than Moe and his bar...unless it was Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag
May 7, 201410 yr I can't see a problem with Moe's Tavern. Enough people want it so I can imagine it would sell extremely well. But if Lego really didn't want to make alcohol (which they have in the past) it could be an 'alcohol free' tavern, or a family restaurant 'tavern' as seen in "bart sells his soul".
May 7, 201410 yr Feeling for them was easier than I though, All the characters are easy I could find them all in 30 minutes, but I was looking for homer and mr burns, as extras since I already have them all sixteen anyway. These minigures are awesome, now the house makes perfect sense.
May 7, 201410 yr Speaking of the house, I've been building it over the last couple of nights and I noticed that Bart's skateboard uses a sticker while the CMF series has a printed one. 1 day after applying the sticker it was already loosening up. :( Besides that the house is filled with nice little touches and has some interesting part usage (stuff I'd never come up with) to make the vacuum cleaner, TV, Maggie's crib, toilet, shower, ... (Basically everything excluding the walls. ) I really hope Lego releases more Simpsons stuff later on, I'd love to build a Lego Springfield. (By the way, Lego, if you're reading this, include Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II in the next CMF series, okay? )

While a loose sticker sucks, variation in any way is always appreciated by me (hence why I like the House set having the facial variations). Additionally, the wheels are different colors on both.
May 8, 201410 yr Two local Fred Meyers stores had 5-6 boxes of these. They seemed to hit pretty hard, I was worried they would be limited for some reason, but they seem to be about as well stocked as previous minifigure series... for now.

You have to go over the entire bag really carefully, and try to separate the plastic form the paper. Does every lego store give you a limit of purchasing only 16 per credit card? My LEGO store had a 32 per person limit...

But if Lego really didn't want to make alcohol (which they have in the past) it could be an 'alcohol free' tavern, or a family restaurant 'tavern' as seen in "bart sells his soul". As has been pointed out to death, the alcohol has only been portrayed in historical settings. Anyway, I'm sure LEGO could demonstrate the creativity to make it alcohol-free if they wanted to, though considering that LEGO's target audience is younger kids, it'd be harder to market a lesser-known variation of such a location than something as iconic as the Simpsons' house.
May 9, 201410 yr I like that touch of one having a sticker and one not having a sticker. While a loose sticker sucks, variation in any way is always appreciated by me (hence why I like the House set having the facial variations). Additionally, the wheels are different colors on both. I didn't compare them side by side but I had a feeling the wheels were different.. At the moment I'm considering buying an extra CMF Bart and combining his skateboard with the wheels from the house one.
May 9, 201410 yr Here's the link, sorry guys: http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/14854/lego-simpsons-moe-s-tavern
May 9, 201410 yr I wonder...The OP isn't a brand new user who just joined to say that or anything, so...
