just2good Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I'm not sure if anybody has asked this before, just2good, so apologies if they have, but do these figures have the moulded number marks on their hands like CMF figures, or are they the regular-set mould? I'm not sure I've ever noticed moulded number marks on hands of CMF figures. Where on hands would they be located? Quote
Dorayaki Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) This Maggie is definitely cute for sure. I wonder if she will be a prototype that allows Lego to design their own original infants (probabaly not). Edited January 14, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I'm not sure I've ever noticed moulded number marks on hands of CMF figures. Where on hands would they be located? If the arm has that indent thing in it, it's Chinese plastic. -Sci Quote
just2good Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 If the arm has that indent thing in it, it's Chinese plastic. -Sci Hmm, I never knew that. Nope, none of them have it. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 That picture CM4S posted shows the telltale China-factory-minifigure signs well - indent on the arm, and numbers on the 'wrist' or stem you might say of the hand. If these figures don't have it either, that's a good sign that they will be nice, high quality. Although I'll be interested to see if the CMF minifigures end up coming from the regular CMF factory. It's not unprecedented that CMF-factory parts have made it into sets; Wyldstyle for example has a torso that comes from there, with the arm indents and hand-numbers. Quote
Spider-Man Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 She's HUGE!! I think it might just be the size of the head. With a regular minifig head it could probably (hopefully) look more like a toddler. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Yes, I think it's better to look where the shoulders are for a good estimation of height. It should be at least a plate shorter than a minifigure with short legs based on just2good's picture. Quote
Ojik Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 This was posted a few minutes ago on The Simpsons Facebook page: Woo-hoo! A special LEGO construction set and minifigure series based on The Simpsons will be available beginning February 2014. Does it mean the CMF line might after all come next month along with the house? Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 This was posted a few minutes ago on The Simpsons Facebook page: Does it mean the CMF line might after all come next month along with the house? May has been stated multiple times. -Sci Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Ah, that magic word......beginning......which means starting from, so my guess it doesn't mean everything will be available in February. The house next month and figures in May.....more like to do with the TV special than any thing else. Quote
Ojik Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 May has been stated multiple times. -Sci I know, of course. That's why I'm so excited. Ah, that magic word......beginning......which means starting from, so my guess it doesn't mean everything will be available in February. The house next month and figures in May.....more like to do with the TV special than any thing else. To me, it sounds more like beginning of February, not beginning in February. Quote
just2good Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Just2good, thanks for the pictures and video. Could you take a picture of a normal legged minifigure, a short legged minifigure and maggie body minifigure, lined up all with normal minifigure heads? Here it is! Sorry it's a little hazy. Full size image here. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Now to find a good mold for a baby and we're set! Honestly, if the rumored Series 12 is true (I remember some discussion of there being 4 CMF lines coming out this year, anyone else remember this) then I'm sure that dates could be tossed around and there is still an open possibility of us getting the Simpsons CMF's in February. deskp Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Here it is! Sorry it's a little hazy. Full size image here. Thank you, is ncie seeing a wider range of lego shapes. Quote
The Executive Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Maggie is my favorite figure. I love the new body size, think of the new possibilities. Now we can make an army of Lego babies. Quote
Zulithe Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 So, who's buying one Friday? My LEGO store told me VIP members can purchase them on the 17th. Quote
Ikkad555 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Oh man, I sure hope LEGO does fantastically on any future baby face prints. Right now, with that picture, the face makes it look like a fully-grown minifig wearing the weirdest dress I've ever seen. Those arms look far too long.. Of course, they look fine on Maggie. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 So, who's buying one Friday? My LEGO store told me VIP members can purchase them on the 17th. I'd love to, as I've put money aside, but I have things going on every weekend for the next couple weeks. I want to get it as soon as I can! -Sci Quote

And to think the minifigures WERE the toddlers, originally I wonder how this face would look like on the new smaller body: http://www.brickset....ifigs/?m=pln108 Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 i'm i the only one who hate the heads of these minifigures. Quote
BrickG Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Yes you are. I think they're B+ material. A- since they use a new mold technique. They're not perfectly but perfectly good enough for what they are. Quote
BrickG Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 So, who's buying one Friday? My LEGO store told me VIP members can purchase them on the 17th. Doesn't look like it's happening unless they update the store later than 12am PST or you're talking about Germany. Quote
Onos Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I bought 2 a few minutes ago!! Amazing set for Simpsons Fans!! Quote
escortmad79 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 i'm i the only one who hate the heads of these minifigures. Nope! It might be my eyes but the comparison pic with the toddler torso & the normal heads, Maggies hands look thicker than normal, especially the right one Quote
