TheLegoDr Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 That last is actually pretty disappointing. Many people who buy the set will also buy these. I realize the eyes may be different, but you are essentially getting the family and ned twice..lame. and Mr burns without a Mr smithers? I'll just have you wait to see if the accessories are worth buying. Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 As long as Krusty comes with Mr. Teeny I'm happy. Quote
HomerJSimpson Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 As long as Krusty comes with Mr. Teeny I'm happy. I want ALL animals! Santa's Little Helper, Snowball ll, Mr. Teeny, a hound for Mr. Burns, and even though it's a stuffed animal, Puppy Goo-Goo for milhouse. Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I think we will get Santa's Little Helper with Bart. Quote
HomerJSimpson Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I think we will get Santa's Little Helper with Bart. Yeah, it IS his dog. And we'll probably get Snowball ll with Lisa, as that's HER cat Quote
ndawgg Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Just a guess, but maybe since the house is selling so well they've held back certain characters that could go with the next building set. i.e. Principal Skinner/Mrs Krabappel with the school, Otto with the bus, Moe with Moe's Tavern, etc. (And I know everyone says no to Moe and the Tavern because of alcohol, but Moe's has also been many things in the show, including a family restaurant called "Moe's Family Feedbag" so who knows? Maybe they'll make the Feedbag, but then you can mod it to be a regular tavern complete with the dank.) Quote
ndawgg Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Also, I hear people talk about buying a box of minifigs. Where/how do you do that? I've seen them online for older sets and of course the price is high because that set is no longer being made, but how do you get a box of a current set of minifigs? The Simpsons is the first one I'd consider buying a whole box of. Quote

I don't want the Simpsons House to be the only set that we get from this theme. Quote

KCMatze Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Yeah, well... I could have thought about that aswell Thanks! Quote
Gooker1 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It makes sense to have the family in the minifig line. Not many people will be willing to plunk $200 on the set, but they will eat up these minifigs at 4 bucks. Quote
Steve309 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Also, is this the first theme primarily aimed at adults? Id say the architecture line is aimed at adults. Quote

Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 This list sounds about right; it was more or less what we could have expected, though I would have expected Principal Skinner and someone like Moe or Mrs. Krabappel over Itchy and Scratchy. Even so, I'm liking the sound of this and will certainly try to get all of them, even if the price is above the typical CMF price (which, being licensed, it obviously will be). Quote
Sam892 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Hopefully if this line proves popular, then next year we will see a second series. Maybe including Comic book guy Rodd Flanders Todd Flanders Skinner Smithers Lenny Carl Ect. Mostly the main characters that are absent from the first Series. The line up still sounds good, hopefully we will see pictures in the next few weeks. Quote
Robert8 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I would prefer Dr. Hibbert, Principal Skinner and Edna instead of Itchy, Scratchy and Mr. Burns. I know Mr Burns is a great iconic character of The Simpsons but I think his minifigure version will look weird. He will look obese compared with the animated version. Quote
HomerJSimpson Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 @HomerJSimpson: Did you write to WhiteFang? Has he replied already? No, I couldn't figure out how; do you know how? If so, I would gladly PM him :) Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Although I too would've preferred Skinner and Edna to Itchy and Scratchy, there's no other way we would get them, TBH. Quote
HomerJSimpson Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) I know why Edna wasn't in the minifigure series! It's a spoiler, and I don't know how to use a spoiler tag, so don't read on if you don't want to know. (Can a MOD please add a spoiler tag if possible, or somebody tell me how to use one so I can edit this post? Thanks.) Ok, on tonight's episode "the man who grew too much", it is revealed that she is dead! Ned had a flashback of her and she said "ha!", which led to him saying "I sure do miss that laugh". I was hoping they would just not give her any speaking roles but keep her in the show, not kill her! Edited March 10, 2014 by HomerJSimpson Quote
gedren_y Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) It has already been discussed that the actress who voices Edna Krabappel passed away. That the character would die isn't a surprize. There have been a couple of deaths in the series: "Bleeding Gums" Murphy and Maude Flanders come to mind. Here's hoping nothing happens to Hank Azaria, the voice actor behind much of the supporting cast. Given the speed at which the site and many Lego stores have sold out of the Simpsons House, I can see the Simpsons getting another go beyond the CMF line. There is much to mine from the show, but it will take time and some more character specific molds. Variation repeats would be quite likely. Mid-priced and higher sets with 2-4 characters would be a logical way to go, or a second CMF line if they have the resources to commit. Edited March 10, 2014 by gedren_y Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I will happily buy every single Simpsons set/minifigure if it'll get them to make more. Not only do I love the Simpsons, but the Torsos are reusable in other themes! Quote

If so, I would gladly PM him :) It's normally shortly before they're due to come out that they're sent to him and he works really quickly to review them before they are widely released. As far as I know, he hasn't gotten these yet and he normally tells the rest of staff when he does. Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Ralph is going to be insanely popular. Every minifigure will be! I can't wait to get my hands on them. Quote
