The Simpsons 2014 Rumors & Discussion

Right, so I'm now hearing dozens of different dates on which these are meant to be released. Do we actually know for sure that the official release date is 1st May, and are we even sure that this series will follow the trend of being released slightly early?

Pretty sure the press release said may 1st. as for following the trend, yes, because of how they are distributed.

So for the Simpsons theme I've been watching it closely and I do think people enjoy this theme. One very funny thing I saw was that the haters got quiet after the release, probably because they saw it could be kid friendly as long as they don't do beer. I remember in December I was so nervous about them not wanting to continue if it doesn't do good and if people don't like it . Now I haven't seen a single petition or a rant on the lego Simpsons in 3 months. What I am really happy about is that this theme has so much potential. Star Wars does so good because of its huge audience, from adults reliving childhood memories or kids watching the cartoons . I never hear one complaint about Star Wars being inappropriate but now in ever set you get a gun.So what's wrong! if you want to let your kid play to kill people whey can't they play with a funny family. But as I said this line has so much potential because when's the last time lego made a full on doll house style set or a convenience store or a power plant or a school or a treehouse or a comic book store or a fast food burger place, honestly just think of a place in Springfield and imagine it as a lego set....... Ok now ask your self has this ever been a lego set.I just thought of Ottos school bus and guess what? lego never made a school bus set. The point I'm trying to get through is lego has a lot of opportunity most of the places in Springfield are things everyone can enjoy , maybe the figures aren't useful but the torsos will be so unique and the legs and arms with short sleeve molding are definitely useful to city builders and lego fans ,because I'm sure a lot of people want most of that stuff I listed in there lego city, I personally don't have one . I hoping to build a lego Springfield.

Yeah I know there are still people against it but on the message boards people are also posting who like lego Simpsons and will buy it for their children,and it isn't as active as before. Their always is someone against something but just because 300 people say they won't buy Simpsons isn't that big of a difference, I have been seeing so many comments saying that this is the first series they will collect and people will even buy a whole box, that haven't before, I will do that to and I only get 1figure every series usually. and I am sure next year when they show the pictures of the 2015 sets everyone will like them even if they don't like or don't know Simpsons the majority will still want to buy them. Also lego has reached adults because if they saw the lego movie or if they buy tmnt ,bttf or ghost busters sets, and now they can buy Simpsons sets . What I'm saying is their isn't a lot holding lego back from expanding this theme . I know the moes tavern isn't really possible but lego has made a bar/pub for pirates of the Caribbean , so I really don't see why they can't do a moes tavern they just need some clear bottles and some tables with a pool table , also the simpsons drink Buzz which is basically cola in there world so lego can do Buzz instead of Duff.l lego has a lot Of a bigger audience than on most themes . And it's not

That children don't know or like simpsons they have the popular tapped out app and they attractions at universal so the kids may not like it as much as city but honestly think of how many 5 year olds playing with Star Wars that have actually watched the original 6 movies.Also for everyone complaining that moe is suicidal the new scarecrow figure has a fricking noose around his neck.

Thank you. I get a little annoyed when people get repetitive with complaints, so that's why I don't complain.

As for the open eyes, they actually creep me out a little bit. Maybe just because they're not official, but they're still better than Marge's grunt eyes.

Why would they do an incredibly obscure version of Bart in the series, which is supposed to be an easy way to get the normal versions of the family?

I'm not saying they will/should, I'm just saying I wouldn't mind it.

Also, almost every piece of simpsons themed clothing I see has Blue shirt Bart. Not to mention other simpsons merch. I'm sure he wears blue in the comics around 50 percent of the time.

I watched some newer episodes and I noticed that Bart's shirt is somehow more red than in earlier seasons. I always thought he wore an orange shirt. The minifigure in the house also seems to wear a red shirt. Maybe something for the CMF-line I suppose, or the blue shirt as mentioned above but I doubt it.

The santas little helper and snowball on the front cover art are probably their for the collectable minifigure serise it won't be hard to get them since bart and lisa don't need nothing new so a new mold won't be hard to do but getting mr.tenney with Krusty might be hard since he needs a needs new head mold and maybe clown shoes

I think it be super cool to have bart in his blue shirt, it's kind of like getting different colors for batman. But he will be in his red shirt for sure I'm the minifigure series maybe they will do that in a set next year

A really cool way to get bart man would be to put him in the androids dungeon and get Bartman,radioactiveman, and comic book guy maybe if it's a bigger set even throw in Milhouse as fall out boy

I really hope they continue this line, it has so much potential for other sets and minifigures.

Well even though I like Simpsons a lot, there are three good reasons almost preventing me from getting this series.

1) No seperate new hairstyle pieces.

2) All characters from the D2C house sets are reused. Though some said that not all KFOLs afford the large set, there are no medium sets either.

3) The roster besides the Simpsons is not appealing enough. (No Edna, etc

Well yeah, it's more like the directors has very poor focus on Ned's relationships and other recurring female acquaintances. In current canon among the faculty of SE, Otto looks more possible than any other secondary female teacher as a Lego product.

It's not the directors fault Edna is dead, her voice actor passed away a few months ago.
