Cool check out just2good eurobricks new youtube video for more close ups

Now if only we got slh, sb2 ,mr.tenney , or a hound this would be the ultimate series the only thing that kills me about this series is that there isn't a sideshow bob mini-figure .but over all I like the series, the lack of accessors to be molded was a problem for lego since they already needed new heads but I have to say the tiles are actually pretty good and I like how the coffee cup is a squssie, they did a good reuse of pieces, but the best accessory is obviously blinkey(this shows lego tried to make more pets/animal figures and clear head to be a fish bowl was the only left option for there budget for this series, and I think he is great)? But yet again no pets now we can only hope for them to come in the sets next year.

Can some one please explain to me what the "man yells at cloud" and "biclops" tile references are I don't really remember them from the show.

'Old Man Yells At cloud' was a throwaway joke, from series 13: Ep called The Old Man And the key.

'Biclops' Is a Comic That Milhouse bought the sell in the Comic Book Store, whilst CBM Was away, and he and Bart were running it. *Shockingly* it was a failure. Series 12: Worst Episode Ever (The actual Name)

Ok thank you , I'm glad to see lego doing the old Simpsons Easter eggs like this ,because many people call the old seasons "when the show was actually good"lol

The amount of love and little details that lego have put into this line is amazing.

The only one I don't like is Police Chief Wiggum. He's noticably fatter than the rest of the characters and it doesn't really come across.

I hope we get a wave 2 / more figures, can't have burns without smithers or Homer without lenny or carl

The car is in the house.

Is that code or just an amusing non-sequitur  , As the quote didn't mention a car. , To be fair i too mistook carL for car on first read.

That will be a long way off. Now, if they release the episode as a separate DVD (like the other LEGO TV specials), then I'm sure we'd get some kind of exclusive. Keep in mind, it wouldn't have a new mould. Maybe Bartman, or Homer with a jacket (Mr. Plow?).

Yeah, I wasn't expecting a new mold, just a variant. Though there is one new character they could do pretty well...Radioactive man! They could do him with Homer's head recoloured red. It would be a good tie in to Steal This Episode.

PORTLAND Street Names personified in LEGO!

FYI if folks didn't know this...

Several characters in Portland native Matt Groening's television show The Simpsons have names based on the alphabetically named streets in the Northwest District: Ned Flanders, the bully Kearney, Reverend Lovejoy,Mayor Quimby, Milhouse Van Houten (actually in North Portland), and possibly C. Montgomery Burns[ide] (also named for the large neon Montgomery Park, formerly Montgomery Ward, sign).[8]

I think that's a lie. I love the new episodes, and they are still very funny.

These look great! I was already getting the series before I saw them, but these look awesome. I don't love the price, but that is how it is.

It is interesting they have a new tail piece for this theme, yet for Chima they are using the neck tail piece. I thought that was their big theme. Either way I'm in for some new tails.

"Man yells at cloud"

Grampa was getting his driver license and the Bouviers asked him to stay still so they could take a photo, the only thing left to finish his license. He asked them if they could use a photo of him from the local newspaper instead. Then he showed the article, and when they agreed, he looked of the window and yelled and the cloud: "Who's the winner now?"

Biclops

Comic Book Guy had a heart attack and had to stay in a hospital. Bart and Milhouse saved him and although he had had some hassle with them, he asked them to take care of his business. As he was more capable of doing this, Bart was in charge of the shop and Milhouse, as always, was his lackey. One day, when Bart left, Milhouse was approached by a salesman who offered him a comic with a brand new superhero called Biclops. Milhouse, when he saw the hero wore glasses, agreed and bought several thousands copies. Bart was very upset because it turned out the comic was published by an optic and it was a colossal flop.

I asked a few weeks ago, yet no one replied. Do you think there will be some special stands? Printed, possibly?

I wasn't gonna pick any of these up (because I dont have a use for the special heads) but the torsos, legs and accessories on a few of them look so good I might have to.

Some of the torsos (Homer, Bart, Millhouse, Burns, maybe others) look good enough to be useful in non-Simpsons settings.

The Simpsons minifigures series is downright tragic. Aside from a few torso pieces (and I want to emphasize the word 'few,' as most of these are exceedingly bland), the set is essentially useless for the majority of Lego builders and collectors. What's more, it feels like Lego is grasping at straws with this entire theme. The Simpsons jumped the shark over a decade ago, and is now the antithesis of funny. I go out of my own way to avoid watching any episodes newer than 2000, and as far as I'm concerned the entire series has been tainted by what it has become. While there were some figures from the Lego Movie series that I wanted, I am really concerned that this 'theming' approach to the minifigs is going to now become the rule. Give us back our random assortment or end this. I won't buy a single one of these figs.

I went to check Scratchy's tail and he really has one! And it's a new piece indeed, wow! With this piece, LEGO has crossed another boundary - putting pieces between torso and legs. Hopefully they will widely spread this technique into other themes as well, as the current tail piece which attaches with a clip to the neck is really dumb and useless.
