_epicster_ Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 That's awesome! Hoping for Treehouse of Horror figs, but that'll never happen! Quote
Sam892 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 My hope of a second series was fading a little bit, but this is excellent! This hopefully means we will get Skinner, Comic book guy, Smithers, Willie and some of the others we missed the first time round. Quote
Cy_Bored1337 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 the only characters i really want are principal skinner, comic book guy and jasper Quote
HawkLord Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I like this as a direction for the CMF series which seemed to have gotten stale by or before Series 10. Maybe running licensed CMF is the way to go. I mean with how many companies now have some version of the Star Wars action figure license, maybe it's only a matter of time before that gets the CMF treatment. Although the most encouraging thought here is that if there is another Simpsons CMF series there would surely be a tie-in set to build interest. Quote
Robert8 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Am I the only one who actually dislike this? I'm guessing they will be out in January since we've heard nothing about more regular CMF Quote
SMC Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 ^ yes we were wondering why we had not heard anything at all about the next cmf so now we know. Quote
The Kid Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I guess this second series was prompted by sales figures on the first, then - hence the delay between the two. This may mean a third series (and possibly more) could be in the offing with less of a gap between releases, if LEGO intends to fully capitalise on the line's popularity... here's hoping. A couple of smaller sets would also be welcome - say one or two £80-100 shops (Kwik-E-Mart, Krusty Burger, Android's Dungeon et al). Quote

Dorayaki Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) We're getting another series of minifigures! From David Thomsen-Sci Do I like Simpsons? Yes. Do I expect another CMF series? UH...... nope, sorry. If this license is really popular, this should reflect on a plan of a formal wave of regular sets, not a CMF series. I believe that other licenses deserve this chance as well. Brickdiction Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I really didn't think another wave would be coming, even though it makes sense with the amount of characters and the sales of the first wave. As Cy_Bored1337 has shown it's not hard to pump out a few more waves. Look up the Simpsons poster that shows all the Simpsons characters. There is a ton of side characters plus the different versions of the main ones that would make great CMF's. Although many of us would like to see more buildings I just don't know if THAT will happen. Moe's Tavern would to be pushing it as a modern day bar. A Kwik-e-mart would probably be seen as racist. Maybe a Krusty Burger, or the comic shop but compared to the Simpsons House I don't know how well they would sell. It will be interesting to see where this license goes. Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Why would Apu be okay if his shop would be racist? Sounds ridiculous to me. Quote

williejm Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Sets wise, I think you could easily have a set or two based on the school - allows for Principal Skinner, Mrs Krabapel, Groundskeeper Willie, Martin Prince, Sherri/Terri and/or some rehashes of the kids we already have. Krusty burger, Comic book shop, Kwik E Mart & Moes could be separate sets or amalgamated to a bigger 'Springfield' set in some combination. Then there's Bart's treehouse. Other most notable location would be the power station, with perhaps a small set of the control room. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Hehe my local Toyworld does the work for you and rights on the packs who is who. So no double ups for me at all. I know that toyworld... if I just lived in Auckland... Here, I made a list of possible sets on my blog. Unlikely, due to the fact that most CMF characters are not included in the sets, but I want to point out how I did Moe: simply include him in the Kwik-E-Mart set! http://toaauseverything.wordpress.com/2014/07/12/rebuilding-springfield-not-tapped-out/ Quote
