The mini challenges will vary by guild, but they should all have roughly the same number of challenges over all.

DC, when I went to Brickworld, I had a binder showing pictures of different GoH builds for people to browse in hopes of gaining members. I don't know if it was succesful though. I'm sure Ecclesiastes would be fine with you using the new symbol, right Ecclesiastes?

This looks pretty interesting! Is this project anything like the Lands of Classic-Castle? If so, I might be interested in joining in on the fun! The only think I need to decide is what guide to join...

I know ZC said this already, but it should be LCC is a lot like GoH, because we were first, and many of us actually had a part in spitting ideas to LCC that we thought would be fun variations... of course not all of us stayed with both projects.

As for challenges, all builders can participate in all major challenges, despite the guild. Each guild leader will probably be putting up a few guild only minor challenges to keep people occupied.

I hung out at the Classic Castle Forums long before I came to Eurobricks, so I too was exposed to LCC before GOH. The others are right, though, GOH came first.

I was initially turned off this kind of cooperative story by LCC. Their restrictive system made me hesitant to join GOH, until I realized the great story arc potential and openness of GOH. Now I am a firm proponent of GOH.

I´ve been a long time follower of GoH, but many things have put me of from joining in. Some of the reasons are the intimidating MOCs people do , the intimidating collection of bricks people seem to own and the fact that everybody seems to be proffesional photographers and many more But I finally said to myself "what the H" it´s time I go from being a LEGO collector to being a LEGO builder and dismantel all of my humble collection and put it to good use. When september comes to an end my LEGO hobby will have a drastic uppswing when I move to my new house with a designated LEGO room and then I will build my heart out and post crappy mobile pics of blurry creations in the GoH forum There have been rumors of dragon longships heading home to the north of Mitgardia

I can relate! I was terrible when I joined, but everyone here is so helpful and encouraging with actual feedback, that I was able to work enough so that now I am only a little terrible

But, this community really is great for helping to improve skills, both in building and photography. The warning is that in 2 months, you will be broke. It can't be helped, it's just too addicting and gets us all.

I second LDs thoughts. We are adding small categories to each challenge that could fit your skills well. Nocturnus is a good choice since there are a lot of non-human elements that could make for some awesome figures!
