There are plenty of things you can do that are cool without blowing up an entire city...

Well, you did say, "Does cloud city get blown up"...

...blowing up windows and doors and containers and those fountain things and stuff like that is fine.

I'm working on my Episode 1 moc and it's coming along quite well but I was wondering if with our mocs we could tell a story by just moving around the characters on the moc but leaving the moc itself alone?

That would be okay, I think, but remember that in a diorama or vignette, you're trying to convey a story by capturing a moment of it in that diorama or a vignette, not through a comic. But as long as it's all in the same MOC, one single diorama, then it's fine.

Made a little progress today....there's a serious lack of Cloud City pictures on Google Images. Might just have to watch Empire Strikes Back again.

The maximum of 25 XP earned per Episode...is that including free builds? I calculated a maximum of 25 XP earned with the challenge itself, so I'm not sure if you refer to just that, or if the maximum is 25 in total per Episode.

No, that doesn't include free builds.

You earn 25 XP if you meke it to the best (5 or 10?).

Yes, it's up to 10 points in the first phase of judging, then the top five of each faction move to the second phase and earn up to 40 points which is added to he first phase and divided by two. So 25 points if you score a 10/10 and move on to the second phase and score a 40/40.

Or you could just play starwars Battlefront, witch is what I did :classic:

Or you can find one of those screencap sites that screenshots frames every second or so from the entire movie.

You could do that, but it's more fun to play star wars Battlefront.

Unless you're going for movie accuracy, because then you'll have to find where all the discrepancies between the game and the movie are, and that's definitely no fun at all. :distressed:

I guess, one major difference from the movie and the game I can find is the fact that in star wars battle front there are gun turrets placed conveniently all around the map, that's the best difference, :) If you play the game that is,

in the movie, twin pod cloud cars looks really red, but also some reference(and lego's latest set) makes it look like orange. which color should i go?

If you can't decide, just make the left pod orange and the right pod red!

seriously, just take the one of which the most and most usefull pieces are available to you. I can't tell the right color either.

(obvisiously, Brickdoctor will know the right color, so to gather more points, use orange  )

Concept art and most fan-made studio-type models, along with the (less orange tinted, and shown in front of a grey building) screencaps from the end of Jedi point to a reddish-orange color, so there's not really a wrong choice. I've seen them done in both colors. I think the orange might have a little bit more 'Bespin-y' feel, but the red undoubtedly offers a much better selection of pieces to work with. I personally prefer the red, which seems more accurate to me, but ultimately they both look good, and in judging it'll probably be more about how well you shape and detail than whether you choose to use red or orange.

What scale is this build? Is there a scale? Because I plan to have part of it in mini-scale and part in maxi fig scale.

It is primarily minifig scale, but if you want to do something like forced-perspective, then you can do that with other scales.

Cool. However I might just get you to have a look at my entry when I post it. Before the episode closes just to check if it is alright. Thanks, (it will be in about a week or so).

Just a reminder that Cloud City also features in videogame Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the Cloud City depicted in the game is a much more gritty and industrious place, compared to the gleaming paradise shown in The Empire Strikes Back. showing mining platforms, tankers, refineries and the ugnaught quaters.

So if you're looking to depict the city's underbelly, its a great reference tool.

I have one last question, I only have one storm trooper, a tie pilot, so I was wondering if I could use the ep III clone helmet as a storm trooper helmet, I'm more of a clone guy so I never bought any storm trooper sets.

It would probably be better if you built a situation that didn't require more Stormies, but I know some people have used clone torsos for helmet-less Stormies, and it doesn't look too bad. It would be fine.

Thanks for the quick answer, I just needed one more stormtrooper and I only had one helmet that worked so that worked out nicely. My moc is coming along nicely, I'm not sure when I'll be done though.

Thank you Commander Stash, but you were on board Redemption during this fight. :sweet:

I am sure you will aid us in the Battle of Bespin !

No, he isn't. :look: There's a shot of him in the briefing room while in hyperspace, but there are only generic officers in there in the picture once they arrive at the battle.
