Ninja Nin Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 No, he isn't. There's a shot of him in the briefing room while in hyperspace, but there are only generic officers in there in the picture once they arrive at the battle. That's clear ! Thanks doc ! Quote
Artizan Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Does anyone else think, the new Lego Architecture Studio is ideal for building Cloud city buildings? Quote
LegoFjotten Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 A few questions about photos. I read the rules about allowing one edited shot. If I photograph my MOC with for example a blue background, is that ok as long as I don't do any actual editing? What about lights, is using small led lights for mood lighting allowed? I'm guessing integrated lights like Lifelites are not allowed since they are not purist? Could they be used in the effects shot as opposed to trying to add the same effect digitally and then removed (or switched off if they are completely hidden) for the other shots? Quote
Bkrosell Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I have another question about storm troopers, in the force unleashed the jet storm troopers look a lot like the red clones from episode three, so I was just wondering if I could use the red clone for a jet storm trooper like in the game. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 Background removal is actually one of the edits that is allowed for all photos, provided that you insert a solid-color background in the shots that aren't the full-blown edit one. You can light the subject during photography however you like if the lights aren't a part of the MOC. Blacklights, lasers, iPhones... But if the light is a part of the MOC, then it has to be purist and a LEGO product, such as a PF or 9V light. You can use clones as Stormies if you want to. You just might not score as highly if it's obvious that they look like clones. Remember that you don't have to include Stormies. Quote
Bkrosell Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 (edited) I think my moc is just about done and ready for posting, just need to clear a space in my basement to take a picture in. Edited August 23, 2013 by Bkrosell Quote
Wat Tambor Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 So I have another question and it's about when this occasion takes place. My local SW wiki (jedipedia.de) tells me that the stormtroopers got their new armour (tha actual stormtrooper armour) in 18 BBY. Should I use stormtroopers and scouts or normal Epi. III clones? Quote

Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 23, 2013 Author Posted August 23, 2013 Yes, as far as the canonical storyline, it's 3 ABY and they should all have good ol' classic Stormie armor. But I've been telling members that don't have Stormie minifigs that they could use clone torsos; you've just to be careful about how and where you use them so it isn't obvious that they're clones. Bkrosell Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I finally finished my Episode 1 moc, come check it out http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86201 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 Reminder: There's one week left to get entries in for Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Episode I. Quote
Wat Tambor Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Gosh! That means I don't have to hurry and build the whole night to complete my moc. I thought Episode I ends on the 16th of September but that must be the LCC challenge. What an amusing misunderstanding... Quote
Lego Spy Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) Finally! My MOC is now completed! Taking pictures within the next ten minutes, so it's to be posted this evening (EST). EDIT: One question about the rules. Once this episode has concluded, can I re-post my entry as a regular MOC in the Star Wars Forum? Edited September 15, 2013 by Lego Spy Quote
Wat Tambor Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Question: How much clock is the last chance to post my entry on Saturday? I am asking because I hardly have any time to finish my MOC except from Friday afternoon and Saturday. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I think that you have until it's still saturday somewhere in the world. So in Germany you have until sunday 12AM I think Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 Bob's correct; you can post the entry as long as it's still Saturday somewhere in the world. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 11 August 2013: The planet of an active episode is open for free builds from both factions, until the episode ends, at which point control of the planet will be awarded to the winning faction. -Brickdoctor To be sure: this means, that we can make Cloud City Free Builds still after saturday, as long as the winner isn't proclaimed? I would like to build a vignette, but I haven't the time for both free build and entry. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Another question about free builds: it would be ok to create a free build set aboard a ship instead of any of the planets right, space is free for all? Quote

Another question about free builds: it would be ok to create a free build set aboard a ship instead of any of the planets right, space is free for all? Space is free-for-all, yes, other than space specifically above planets. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Only 3 days left to post your entry! Hurry up all of you great rebel MOCers! (No need to rush imperials, take your time...) EDIT: One question about the rules. Once this episode has concluded, can I re-post my entry as a regular MOC in the Star Wars Forum? Your entry is also considered as a "regular" MOC. Posting it in the Star Wars forum would be considered as a multi-post I think. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 Bob is correct; free builds stay in the main forum, episode entries stay in here. You might notice that I've started work on part of the MOC Index to include episode builds, so your episode builds will still be easy to find. (And of course you can add a picture or a link of an episode build to a free build post if for story reasons you need the connection; there's nothing wrong with that.) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 ...and Episode I: Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka is over! Thanks for all your enthusiasm in getting this project started. Judging will commence shortly followed by announcement of winners in about a week, and maybe a surprise or two to come also. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I'm not sure if I have to take photos to make clear the size of my entry. I used the full 64x64, so I could make a comparison with street plates, if the judges are in doubt. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Announcement! Judging is progressing as planned and should be completed shortly. In the mean time, here's a little reward to whet your anticipation: the top two scoring builders will receive a copy of 9678 Twin-Pod Cloud Car and Bespin, generously donated by our Rebel Blog Master, Lobot! Everybody say, "Thank you, Lobot!" Quote
