A few questions about photos. I read the rules about allowing one edited shot.

If I photograph my MOC with for example a blue background, is that ok as long as I don't do any actual editing?

What about lights, is using small led lights for mood lighting allowed?

I'm guessing integrated lights like Lifelites are not allowed since they are not purist? Could they be used in the effects shot as opposed to trying to add the same effect digitally and then removed (or switched off if they are completely hidden) for the other shots?

I have another question about storm troopers, in the force unleashed the jet storm troopers look a lot like the red clones from episode three, so I was just wondering if I could use the red clone for a jet storm trooper like in the game.

Background removal is actually one of the edits that is allowed for all photos, provided that you insert a solid-color background in the shots that aren't the full-blown edit one.

You can light the subject during photography however you like if the lights aren't a part of the MOC. Blacklights, lasers, iPhones... But if the light is a part of the MOC, then it has to be purist and a LEGO product, such as a PF or 9V light.

You can use clones as Stormies if you want to. You just might not score as highly if it's obvious that they look like clones. Remember that you don't have to include Stormies.

So I have another question and it's about when this occasion takes place. My local SW wiki (jedipedia.de) tells me that the stormtroopers got their new armour (tha actual stormtrooper armour) in 18 BBY. Should I use stormtroopers and scouts or normal Epi. III clones?

18 BBY is 18 years before the battle of yavin 4, which took place in ANH. the Community Build takes place in ESB (as we're helping Leia etc. to escape).

Yes, as far as the canonical storyline, it's 3 ABY and they should all have good ol' classic Stormie armor. But I've been telling members that don't have Stormie minifigs that they could use clone torsos; you've just to be careful about how and where you use them so it isn't obvious that they're clones.

Space is free-for-all, yes, other than space specifically above planets.

You might notice that I've started work on part of the MOC Index to include episode builds, so your episode builds will still be easy to find. (And of course you can add a picture or a link of an episode build to a free build post if for story reasons you need the connection; there's nothing wrong with that.)
