If your lives are the price I have to pay to become the Chief of this squadron, I'll be more than happy to pay!"

Karie didn't grin, but there was a sense of satisfaction in her voice.

"You misunderstand me. That weak-hearted Yellow Oculoid may have had a soft spot for you things- a defect onour assembly line, so I heard - I would like nothing more then to kill all of you. I just said that so I could give you a small glimmer of hope before stamping both it and you out for good."

The Oculoid chuckles once more.

"Did it work? Either way, announce your choice."

Karie finally emitted her trademark snarky grin.

"Your rouse proved false. As far as I'm concerned it's either we beat your thing into oblivion or we get our souls sucked out of us and then get our bodies used as meat puppets. Doesn't sound like the best of nights, but points for originality. Tell me, how are Oculoid's created? Considering you've stated something about an assembly line, I'm assuming not by normal means?"

Karie was still terrified of the Oculoid, but she didn't want to give him leverage to push her about with. She tried pushing the fear out of her, but it still lingered about every so slightly. The thought of... that happening again still pedaled away in her mind.

Althior staggers up, using his scepter as support. He hadn't taken a hit like that in a while. It felt, well, amazing. Feeling too weak to conjure up another spell, he swings his scepter at the oculoid from the back row. The undead repeat their actions.

QM Note: Your undead are gone, K-Nut - they vanish when you get KOed, correct? You have 4 actions to work with and 5 targets - but, remember, if you leave a single Aquamaw fragment unhurt, it'll be able to merge back with another one.

QM Note: I just checked, and your army does indeed vanish if you get knocked out. Fortunately, the boss fight (this is the penultimate battle) will have pleny of oppurtunities for raising undead minions.

Your creation may be an incoherent mess that I may never understand, but you lot are just as flawed as us, if not more so. Also, does the assembly count as in breeding?"

The Green Oculoid scratches his head, confused.

"...What does raising the third digit of your hand skyward and facing your hand in my general direction signify?" It seems he literally didn't know what the gesture meant. Karie grins, actually managing to confuse the demon for once.

"I did actually poke around your bodyfriend's skull. Do you want to know what I learned?" The Green oculoid cackled, but there was a little less oomph to it. It seemed Karie did manage to knock his ego and composure down a few notches.

The sarcasm dripping off of Karie's words could almost be seen drooling out of her mouth.

"No response? Hah. I guess you really do love him only a fraction of the amount he loves you. Go ahead, use your darling Masson as a one-night stand. He'll be dead within the week."

Althior is revived, the pink glow of the Emergency Essence swirling around the Necromancer. He staggers up, seemingly shaken by the collosal attack and... something else... Karie gets a good hit on one of the Aquamaw fourths, a tendril of poison entering its water body. Another fourth tries to tak a bite out of her, but the witch nimbly dodges the attack in her catsuit. Johon enters yet another ravage, jets of water spewing everywhere as he slices his foes. Althior repels the Oculoid, keeping it from terrorizing the party that round.

Toxic Bath: The Aquamaw knocks the heroes off of their balance and drags them into the polluted water. All heroes become Infected for 3 rounds. Used only when halved.

Last Stand: In a desperate manuever, the Aquamaw assaults the hero who rolled Special Damage with damage equal to the Aquamaw's collective HP divided by 10, disregarding SP. Used only when quartered.

Passive Specials:

Divide and Conquer: Every single time the Aquamaw is damaged, it splits in half, down to 1/4 of its size. The Aquamaw's level is divided in half (rounded up) every time it is split, as well. The Aquamaw fragments all share a collective HP, the Aquamaw's fragments all destroyed when its collective HP is reduced to 0. Only Aquamaw Fourths can take damage - halves and wholes are impervious to damage. (Only drops its loot once.)

Combine and Prevail: If an Aquamaw fragment goes undamaged for a full round, it will join with a same-sized fragment if possible (even if it was damaged), doubling its size.
