Karie hears the sound, closing her eyes and ears on instinct and trying to ward off the voices in her head. However, no human can ressit the bewitching power of 9 Oculoids, and Karie's mind once again falls under the Chief's control. Her eyes cloud over as hse readies her whip, ready to end Althior. Even Johon feels the effects of the sonar, his mound getting hazy. "This is what you get for siding with them, Necromancer! Your own cohorts will be your undoing! The iorny is just so delectable, isn't it?!" QM Note: Because it may influence your strategy: Reducing the Amalgam to 1000 HP kicks off his second phase. This cuts off the round immediately - if the round ends prematurely, the Amalgam will not eat any remaining satellites. Hexed heroes will also not get to attack in a round ended prematurely as well. "GAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Oculoid Amalgam, Level 54 Ancient *Cursed!* HP: 1034/2488 SP: 2 Immune to all Scroll Effects and Hexed! Specials: Dark Wave: The Oculoid Amalgam shoots beams of darkness out of its tentacles, sweeping the party with them. All heroes take damage to their level, disregarding row. Succumbing Sonar: The Oculoid Amalgam emits an odd signal, Hexing 1 random hero for 3 rounds. Another random hero is Confused for 1 round as well. (Both can be remedied or removed for 3 ether.) Bomb Ring: Instead of spawning Satellites next round, the Oculoid Amalgam gains 2 levels, 2 SP, and spawns 6 Blast Satellites to surround the heroes. Tree Topple: The Oculoid Amalgam knocks down a tree, crushing the hero who rolled Special Damage. That hero takes damage equal to their level x2 and loses one of their positive effects. Specials decided by RNG. Passive Specials: Toxic Tentacles: Rolls of Damage or Free Hits of a 1/6 chance of Infecting the hero who is recieving damage for 3 rounds. (Can be remedied or removed for 3 ether.) Tactical Formation: The Oculoid Amalgam spreads out his allies almost flawlessly. Area of Effect attacks only affect the enemy that is beaing targetted, as well as the enemies above and below them in the enemy list. Endgame Syndrome: ??? (Occurs when the Oculoid Amalgam drops below 1000 HP) Satellite Summon: At the end of every round, the Oculoid Amalgam summons 5 satellites. The die is rolled for each one to decide which Satellites he summons: -Blitz Satellite: 1/2 chance. -Reinforcement Satellite: 1/6 chance. -Haste Satellite: 1/6 chance. -Technique Satellite: 1/6 chance. K-Nut Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Althior gets back up only to be blasted down again. He bellows in pain, rolling on the ground for a minute, almost unable to breathe. He strains himself to stand up, taking his dragon scale and then following Karie's plan. Quote

Kintobor Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 OOC: Fffffff- well, works for me! Creepy mind screw ahoy!!! Karie feels the Oculoids mind's grapple around her own, lurching her out and sending them in. She hears cackling from various sources erupt in her head. It's a useless struggle as Karie blacks out once again. Everything comes flooding with her. Her guilt. Her anger. Her love. Herself. Going. Going. Gone. "Kayla..." SPOTLIGHT: ACT TWO Shadows in Red The spotlight hits Karie as the Town Watch surround her with spears, fear filling her lungs. Yet she cannot scream. They begin to howler and jeer at her as an imposing figure makes her way through the sea of spears. She says not a word but is handed a rapier from one of her men as she makes her flight forward unto Karie. "The penalty for your crime: Death." It hurts. It hurts a lot... She quickly pulls her rapier out, crimson blood drenched all over it. Karie breaths rapidly and loudly. The pain is immense: straight through the heart. She feels the blood making its way out. Looking up at her killer, she notices she has no remorse. Her killer motions back as a guard passes her a cloth which she profusely cleans her blade with, watching Karie hit the ground as blood fountains out of the wound and stains the ground and her clothes red. Her killer says not a word but spits on the corpse, as her and her men walk away from the scene. Hours go by. Nothing. The spot light remains on Karie's corpse. Not a peep, or a whistle, or anything. A lone figure walks up to her, and begins to jostle her. "Karie? Loafing about never got anything done, you know. Why don't you wake up... Wake up and smell the ashes..." Battle Order >Johon- Do Nothing >Althior- Consume Dragon Scale All Goddamn Undead Satellites, gang up on Amalgam Everyone Else- Do Nothing Karie- Continue being used as a meat puppet Quote

Johon orients himself as Althior crushes his Dragon Scale in his hand, swallowing the powder. Two Satellites get shots in on the Amalgam before the demon decides he has been pushed pass his limit. "SO... You have the meddle to push me this far? Your minds ensanred, your bodies broken, your spirits wavering and waiting for the end... And you still think you can defeat me? Laughable! PITIFUL!" The Amalgam cackles, the hex even forcing Karie to join along. "I will show you the true Wrath of the Oculoids, you revolting beings... But first, I believe some rest is in order!" The Amalgam launches into the sky, wrapping its tentacles around one of the higher hanging branches. His tentacles coil around, the Amalgam hanging upside down from the collosal tree like a bat. Two tentacles cling to a branch while the others coil around the Amalgam's body, forming a protective coccoon. 4 blobs of ink brust from the coccoon, landing in front of the heroes. They take form, and the party instantly recognizes what they were... Glowing eyes shimmer from beneath the inky surface. Oculoids. "We will not allow you to harm the chief, heroes! Oculoids! Thrall!
