The Oculoid Amalgam summons:

>Reinforcement Satellite, Reinfrocement Satellite, Technique Satellite, Blitz Satellite, Blitz Satellite, Blitz Satellite

The party strategizes poorly. Against the newly powered-up Amalgam, they falter... Johon misses as Karie gulps down a Grand Tonic, Althior summoning up shades of their previous foes. he sends his army to dispatch the Amalgam's satellites. However, most of them are of demonic bent, his army being unable to harm them. The party watches in horror as the Amalgam scoops up the remaining Satellite, serated teeth devouring them and sucking out their essence. The massive demon surges with even more power, faster then ever. His tentacles now have a corona of energy around them, sweeping the entire party in a blast of darkness to discharge the magic. The Amalgam summons up more satellites, laughing mad.

I'm not quite sure how the Amalgam ate all those satellites when the battle order states that the Undead Satellites attack the rest of the satellites not targeted.

Posted (edited)

QM Note: They're demons, and the other satellites are darkness elemental. They can't actually damage them, so I didn't have Althior waste ether. Blitz and Reinforcement are Fire and Rock respectively, and thus are susceptible to the Satellites.

 Thank you for making me look like an idiot again.

"Alright, change of plans. Althior, amalgam. Johon, the Technique Satellite needs to go down. Focus the undead satellites on the other satellites, and the shades on the Amalgam."

Battle Order

>Althior- Grand Potion

>Althior- Amalgam

>Karie- Heal Johon

>Johon- Technique Satellite (unless Karie's heal fails, in which case, heal self)

>Johon- Technique Satellite (if not already taken out. If already defeated, do nothing

Undead Satellites- Attack remaining Satellites

Shades- Amalgam

"You certainly are a presumptuous git, aren't you?" Karie's anger was starting to swell. "Not like you'll ever know what said mood is, seeing as how you're brought about about by conveyor belt sex." Karie gave a small yet snarky grin.

"More then a hundred humans have fallen victim to my wrath! One second they were standing, the next their souls were already mine... So what makes you different? Why can't I simply annihlate you, just like the rest? Why won't you die?!"

it seems the Amalgam was legitmately baffled as to why the party was still standing. It wasn't just fiendish bantering - He really had no idea why he wasn't able to destroy the party yet.

You and the rest of your excuse for a race, your fools. Simple fools. You lack purpose," Althior repeats his actions. "I'm Althior Emorith, Necromancer, Dragonslayer, and Oculoid-killer." He grins. "And you sir, you're royally screwed..."

"Wh-HOW? You couldn't possibly...!

...What are you?!"

Karie's eyes spark up. Her eyes begin to widen as her cocky grin spreads across her face.

"What am I? Do you really want to know? I'm not you. You see the worst in humanity, the evil, the scum sucking bottom feeders, the murderers and the abusers of power. That's not me. I try my damnedest to see the best in people, as hard as it can be. I try to see the good in the people of Brendenton, of Heroica Hall, of Masson Cour, hell, even of my sister. So you know something? Your perfection is your downfall. There is always two sides to every coin. You brand all humans as evil, when you yourself have no grasp of what it means to be human. You have never felt sorrow, never felt grief, never felt guilt, never felt happiness, never felt joy, never felt love. Your perfection makes you the most imperfect being in existence, and I will feel relieved when you and your master's rein of death and harassment are over."

Karie looked at her two party mates, blushing slightly. She felt like Private Regulus.

"Let's finish this, shall we Althior? Johon?"

Battle Order

Shades- Amalgam

>Althior- Grand Potion

>Althior- Amalgam (unless Althior takes damage from previous attack, in which case, do nothing.)

Undead Satellites- Attack all Satellites with the exception of Haste A and B. All other Undead Satellites attack Amalgam.

>Johon- Haste Satellite A

>Johon- Haste Satellite B

>Karie- Any remaing Haste Satellites. If none remaining, heal player with lowest health excluding Karie.

"SILENCE! Silence, all of you! You think you street urchins can defeat me?! Even as the smallest cog in the master's conspiracy, I have more then enough dark magic to crush you with a single fist! You think we're the high rankers? Even by Oculoid standards most of us are faceless goons - Even I am only 1 of over fifty Chiefs! Even if you win here, our replacements will have our roles by sun down... You will accomplish nothing! You hear me?! NOTHING!"

>White Oculoid Shade A VS Oculoid Amalgam: 35-5=30 damage

>White Oculoid Shade B VS Oculoid Amalgam: 35-5=30 damage

>Blue Oculoid Shade VS Oculoid Amalgam: 44-5=39 damage

>Althior downs a Grand Potion (back)

>Althior VS Oculoid Amalgam (back): Critical Hit Critical Hit (12x10=120+35=155+5=160x2=320-5=315 damage)

>Undead Satellites destroy Blitz A/B and Reinfrocement A/B

>Undead Satellite VS oculoid Amalgam: 20-5=15 damage

>Undead Satellite VS oculoid Amalgam: 20-5=15 damage

>Johon VS Haste Satellite A (back): Special Damage Shield: Ravage (8+25=33/2=18-5=13 damage, 3 damage Decay placed, 57 gold earned)

>Johon VS oculoid Amalgam (back): Steal Critical Hit (8x3=24+25=49/2=25-5=20 damage)

>Karie VS Oculoid Amalgam (back): Hit Critical Hit (11x2=22+17=39x2=78/2=39-5=34 damage)

Technically the Amalgam would have 12 HP after this, but that hardly warrants another 12-24 hours for wiating for action. Thus...!

The party, invigorated by the Amalgam's desperate insults, begin their final assault on the mighty demon. Althior lets an all out barrage off on the opposition. His shades and satellites swarm everything in sight, ramming and stabbing everything into submission. Althior conjures up a massive orb of light, sending it rocketting into the Amalgam's direction. The spell slams through the Amalgam, sending it hurtling backwards from the sheer force. Ink jets out from its every cut as the spell passes through him, ravaging the once powerful foe. Johon, in a flurry of barbaric strikes, manages to bring the Amalgam down to to the ground, the demon too weak to hover. karie's new whip begins to tringle, rising up form her skin and transofrming into a whip. Knowing that the battle was over. karie swings the whip overhead, and bring sit crashing down on the Amalgam. the barbed oculoid arm bisects the vitriolic beast, ink splattering off from her directions.

The Amalgam practically explodes, globs of plasm scattering everywhere. horrified demonic eyes watch in shock from inside the inky giblets, fading away and dissolving instantly as the black shrapnel hit the ground. The ground is stained with the various bits of goo, the remains of the mighty demon fading away with a hiss. Only one mutilated demon remained from the Amalgam, the rest utterly destroyed by the fierce battle.

The Chief sputters and wheezes, gushing ink... one mor ehit and he would surely perish.

You forgot to level us up.

Karie closed her eyes as a wave of inky goo splotched all over her. Repulsed she wiped as much off as she could, but to little avail.

Johon, even currently being the only non ether-user, perks up for the Oculoid Iris.

"Would I be able to get the Iris? I'm thinking of trying some magic when I get the chance and that would be extremely useful."

"You're going to have to take that up with Althior, Johon. I've got this nice whip, and I'd like you two to get something besides money and consumables, so you if you don't get the eye, you for sure will be getting the Claw."

Cute Loot

Karie- Emergency Essence, 75 gold

Johon- Ectoplasm, Claw OR Eye, to be determined, 30 gold

Althior- Ectoplasm, Emergency Essence, Claw OR Eye, to be determined, 20 Gold

The Chief sputters and wheezes, gushing ink... one mor ehit and he would surely perish.

"H-how? How did you...? It isn't possible... How?! How did I lose?!"

Karie looks the wretch over, shaking your head.

"I've got enough crap on me today. I'll allow one of my cohorts to heave you in two."

She walks past the chief, not looking back. She rifled through the ooze on the ground, trying to find the item they were sent to retrieve. She finally found the Life Spark documents and brushed them off.

"So you fine folks are the one responsible for taking down that bastard, I presume?"

Karie looked over at the man, clearly the archaeologist they were looking for.

"Mr. Keolo, I presume? You'll have to excuse the filth all over my clothes, I've been having a... rather bad day. I'm Karie, and the necromancer's Althior, and the raider's Johon."

She doesn't shake his hand, but nods to him instead.
