That is understandable, I hope all is OK! And for all of you waiting for the third task (i know, I know, I am late) here it is: Closing the portals. We are almost ready to start operations within the city itself. While Lord DaMaximus is taking care of the siege, Paulos' followers will be infiltrating the city and taking on small objectives to help win the fight. However, it turns out that Eastgate is still well supplied, even with the GEAR Co. Navy sitting out of this conflict. To this point Lord DaMaximus and Sir Paulos have been baffled at how the city is still getting food and supplies, and it seems like more men are on the wall then before! It turns out that Petera, a powerful mage himself, has enlisted the help of the Eastgate College of Magic and Sciences. He has convinced many of the wizards, warlocks, witches, and sorcerers at the institution to create portals to the places outside the city where Petera gets refills of food, supplies and men. Most of the mages at the college are not extremely powerful, at least the ones Petera could lean on to do his bidding anyway, so they cannot make portals more than a couple miles outside of the city. Your task, friends of Paulos, is to go out into the countryside and small hamlets and find where these mages are making portals too. It has to be a place that the wizard had visited before and set up their "mark" in order to make a portal to that location. Marks can differ by wizard, so you will be on the look out for something out of the ordinary. You are then to wait at the mark for the portal to open and ambush those who try to get in or out. If you can get into the city, try to take the wizard who is on the other end of the portal prisoner. We don't necessary want to kill them, but do what you must to protect your person. ---- I forgot to mention that after this task, all further tasks are personalized, so please post in this thread to let me know that you have finished all three tasks, so you can get your next set of orders. Since Masa and I meant this to be an interesting filler event for the "off-season" and Book 2 is starting in October, I did not want to make this overlap too much. Quote

Well, I got too much to build now and I think I am going to be ordered some lego downtime by the family for a few weeks after the second weekend of October anyway. So I would probably decline this as it looks now regardless of if the date is October 15 or 31. But I'm excited to get up to GoH speed again for Book II! Quote

He has an special assignment for you. Within the city walls there is a tavern, the Black Cat. It is rumored that a man who frequents that bar at night knows where Petera is holding the spear. The man's name is Rexus, if you can get into the walls of Eastgate then capture the man alive for questioning, and bring him to Paulos. Quote

Task 4 for Kai: Think of the Children! There are very scared children at the Orphanage of the Sun. It is rumored that one of Petera's lieutenants, Capsus, has decided to take the orphanage under his wing while living in Eastgate. Unfortunately, rumors have abound that Capsus has been using the orphans for fould purposes - torture, slavery, and some have even said to eat! We need you to slip into Eastgate and check on the orphanage. If you can, and if they are in need, please try to get the orphans out of the city. They don't need to be there when DaMaximus's catapults start firing. Task 5 For Nightstalker: Into the darkness: unfortunately, our call for help has led to some of the missions getting out of hand. The Brotherhood of the Sword volunteered to help Paulos recapture Eastgate, but they got sick of waiting and making small strikes at the enemy. Instead they took matters into their own hands. We just got word that they have slipped into Eastgate's sewers and they are planning to attack the city's well system. They are going to try and poison Petera! We fear that they will end up killing many more people than just Petera (if they even succeed at that) and that they may permanently hurt the city's water supply. We need you to stop them at all costs before they attempt their mission. And some how I forgot Rummy way back 20 days ago (did you post task 3?) So here is task 4 for you also: Payroll: Paulos has been surprised by the number of mercenary outfits ready to help him, he has the money... but eh... it seems to be in the Crown Bank of Eastgate, locked under vault. It would really be nice to start paying cash instead of IOUs. So, he needs your team to go and "retrieve" some of his gold from the bank. How you do that is up to you. Quote
