Philo Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 I guess it's a pain to change and recharge batteries? Or do you use LEGO LiPo ones? Quote
Burf2000 Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 8 of the NXT's can easily be charged via a normal chargers, the front 2 NXT's the batteries have to be pulled out as the charging socket is blocked Quote
Burf2000 Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Thanks for a the nice comments, I may look in to metal track so it can go round corners but not sure yet. Someone suggested having a giant turn table at both ends of the track for kids to rotate the train Quote
DrJB Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Have you run some calculations as to the weight forces on the various lego elements ? Quote
TinkerBrick Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 This just made my day. I grew up playing with my grandpa's G-scale trains and loved trains ever since. Next things up would be: a pair of fake pistons with fake steering - and - you should try to layout curves with the lego flexible tracks in order to create a round track. Then you could charge the neighbourhood kids for the ride. Quote
Burf2000 Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Glad you like it :) I do plan to see if I can get it to go round corners, and also to make it look more like a train :) Quote
