When this challenge came up, I struggled to think of something to do. I didn't want to do the obvious standing at a door not letting people through MOC, so I did a surveillance room.

We were in the surveillance room, controlling the door, when we saw some civilians try to escape through the ventilation system. I quickly stood on a crate and released gas into the system to kill them.

Hmmm, interesting to go so small, when the limitations are almost endless in this episode. I guess there might be some rules for smaller vigs later along the line, so I wouldn't go easy with this one. The room could easily be a lot bigger, and the walls could use some greeble (I think that greeble is one of the most used word in this part of forum). Also a nice touch at vigs is not to think square - as we are always used to, for bricks are square. For example you could easily add two black 4 studs wide plates - one for bottom and one for ceeling of the vent on two walls around the corner. Add a dead rebel or civilian and there's so much content added to the vig. It's a WIP, so don't be afraid to add more stuff! Nice idea poisoning the vents

I really like it. Its a nice simple start, simple, but effective and showing plenty going on in the small room. The ventillation system piece looks really spot on! I would perhaps maybe add more screens as surveillance rooms often have a huge amount due to lots of cameras :)

Some people's mocs will be small. A lot more people will be joining in on this than would usually create a diorama. Half of these people won't necessarily have a lot of bricks, or enough to go mahoosively huge reaching the limits. I for one will only be able to do a certain size due to limited bricks/plates/greys being my main colour of inventory.

I understand that some people have very limited amount of Lego, but I still doubt Settle used all of his grays in this build. Sometimes people are just afraid to go big. I didn't want to say he should go 64 by 64 studs but more like st least 16x16 instead of what looks more like a cmf 8x8 vig. If this is not the case, he can still say that's all he has. I couldn't know that and just suggested how to improve the MOC.

I like the concept, but like others said, it does feel a little small. A cramped surveillance room isn't a bad thing, but you could the do the hallway outside, the machinery behind it, another room where the poison is spreading and killing people... And I'd also expect to see a lot more piping and wiring and vents in a room like this.
