MrNumbskull13 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Howdy fellow Eurobrickers! I am have almost completed my greatest rock crawler chassis yet! My only concern is what body should I put on it? I WAS going to make a Ford F-350 cab but I'm not sure now so I was wondering what do you guys think? I am looking forward to see what you come up with. :) Quote
JTS Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'd like to see a large, sporty buggy that looks like it could power over the rocks. Much like the 8297-B Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 I'd like to see a large, sporty buggy that looks like it could power over the rocks. Much like the 8297-B Thanks for the feedback! [note to everyone]- If you have any wacky ideas I will look into them too! I have made a VW Beetle rock crawler before xD also I thought rm8's boss crawler was cool and wa unique because it wasn't like a 'normal' crawler. Thanks in advance to everyone :) Quote
Trawler Man Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I have always loved the old Toyota trucks. The classic BJ40 makes a fantastic crawler for real, so i'd love to see it done with Lego. Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Maybe one pic of the chassis at first. I shall have a photo for you guys tomorrow! :D (probably a link to my Flickr, maybe an embedded photo) Thanks for the ideas too, I think at about 20 ideas (or less) I'll have to decide which one to use, maybe y'all can help me choose? :) Quote
Technyk32231 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Maybe something based on a vehicle from the King of the Hammers? Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Maybe something based on a vehicle from the King of the Hammers? When I get the 9398 (because the 41999 is sold out D:) I shall make a king of the hammers buggy because I think it will be very hard to include a gearbox for it without it looking off scale because the wheels are too small (I only have 81.4 wheels), also my 9L black springs can't handle the weight. :/ Quote
weavil Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 How about this old Handa, or VW, or a van. I thought I would suggest something different. Or do a Chevy or Dodge. Quote
Doc_Brown Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I was going to suggest the BJ40 as well! I think it would look awesome! Quote
Kwon Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 No joking, I think VW beetle rockcrawler will be fantastic! Quote
pint14 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I think rock buggy would be best option, beacuse the body wouldnt be too heavy! Here is my vw beetle crawler: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5830571 Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Thanks for the input! I noticed some of you have suggested a beetle rock crawler even though I've already made one, its pretty rubbish though. Quote
Tubby Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) This is more of a tractor than a 4x4 or rock crawler but it would funny anyway. Edited August 12, 2013 by Tubby Quote
legomuppet9 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 This is more of a tractor than a 4x4 or rock crawler but it would funny anyway. I want this so bad... would look good, if you could do the shapes Quote

MrNumbskull13 Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 formula off road with 2 rc motors I don't own any buggy motors but I recently aquirred a third party 380 motor, I decided to make some sort of crawler with it but I guess I could make it look more like a formula off road ;) this project will take some time but I should get some real speed and power...
