Captain America Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Thank you :) Now I'm even more curious ... by the sounds of it I'm guessing it is moulded ... I hope it's a sleek and attractive mould if it is one. Quote
CityBuilder Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I wonder if the taxi that supposedly comes with the train station is a minivan/suv style like the last one, or if it is more like a sedan. Quote
jonwil Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Cows on the train would be awesome, I dont have any cows and really want some :) I just wish LEGO would come up with a reason to produce a proper sheep mold (not the lamb they did for Friends but a proper sheep) Edited January 9, 2014 by jonwil Quote

There is a Kingdoms set with a sheep or a goat. Quote
Blakstone Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Indeed there is one with a goat but I don't know of one with a sheep. Quote
scottwb2010 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Don't know if anyone has mentioned it already, but strange that there is no mention of a Level Crossing with the projected release of an updated City Train theme Edited January 9, 2014 by scottwb2010 Quote
Galaxy Explorer Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Don't know if anyone has mentioned it already, but strange that there is no mention of a Level Crossing with the projected release of an updated City Train theme I believe the 2010 crossing was a limited edition (TRU) so maybe that will show up later. But yes, I would be disappointed if we don't get a new one.I'm always happy to hear about new trains for CITY, but I just got the 2010 Passenger Train last summer, so I don't want to replace it quite yet. I'm sure the new ones will be available for a while. Quote
jonwil Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 It might be that the last level crossing didn't sell well enough to make another set viable. Quote
lostdriveway Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 It might be that the last level crossing didn't sell well enough to make another set viable. It seems to have quiet a high secondary value already (over $100 on eBay etc) so I'm glad I at least picked one up earlier when it was available! I would love a new one though! Quote
Cwetqo Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I dont think it didnt sell well. Its just that it was gone so soon, for no obvious reason. I know that TLG now responds very quick to changes in set sales, but still, I don't remember seeing any leftovers ot this set. Looking on previous train wave, I'd say that Train station was (and still) a non-seller. I saw large quantities at various stores with prices to as little as 15euro and it still didnt fly of shelfs. lifeinplastic Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Fingers crossed here for sheep too - long overdue to the Lego System-scale world, much like many other animals! (I think a shepherd as a CMF would also not include one due to size constraints). Yes Aanchir, the Metroliner is definitely my all-time favourite set - there are some clever brick-built train MOC fronts but they never look as good. Hopefully the new train will be even half as good (although I am willing to bet a low minifigure count, poor colour scheme, fewer accessories and less-detailed interior will mean this isn't the case. I had hoped the next train would represent an Australian Outback setting (like the Ghan or Indian-Pacific with kangaroos and a set no 6444 type structure), an Andean railway (with minifigures to match) or the Canadian Rockies (modern luxury train with trees, totem poles and a viewing carriage). Blakstone Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The huskies look great. LEGO is really getting the most out of the dog mold. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 There are more pics, and the people have BLUE hoods! -Sci Where are these pictures ? But we must remember watermarked images can not be posted directly here on EB (learn't that lesson four years ago ). Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 None of them are watermarked, they're in the Trains forum. -Sci Quote

tomdobs55 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 These pictures are such a tease!! Those huskies look great and the sky crane will be awesome! Quote
Rick Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 None of them are watermarked, they're in the Trains forum. -Sci The ones posted in this thread still look like they come from the retailer's catalog (cut out from pieces of the page that don't have the watermarks), so I've changed them to links. lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 These pictures are such a tease!! Those huskies look great and the sky crane will be awesome! Yep, that sky crane is a must buy for sure ! The creator shop looks to be modular style based......though the car is very basic, at least the building looks good.....multiple buy for sure as well. seba123 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The Bike/Flower shop indeed looks promising. To me it looks to be yellow though... would have preferred another color but I'll still get a few of those. Quote
CityBuilder Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The pictures are deleted now, anyone care to elaborate on what they showed? Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The pictures are deleted now, anyone care to elaborate on what they showed? The bike shop/cafe is two storey 16 wide by the looks of it with a small yellow car.....very late 90's Lego car that is. The skycrane is totally awesome, the rest of the snow gear is orange buildings or vehicles......all they need is a Nat Geo film crew to join them ! Quote
