Oh, someone is being a comedian eh ?

Be funny if we end up with farm sets again or a revamp of the garage from 2009......since this year saw both cargo and coast guard sets appear again after 5 years.

I wouldn't a mind farm wave but considering that the friends line will be getting farm sets i don't think it might follow. As for fire sets that will be ok IF they are airport based like the forest based ones.

Quite dissapointed to see yet more Police. I mean yes, a lot of Children are into Police and emergency services, but this marks the third Police Station in less then Ten Years. Wheres the Gas Station, or other Buildings which haven't been remade yet? I think Lego need to get their priorities right, because yes, the Police sets are always nice and the minifigs are nice, but it's going to get to the point where there will be three police stations on shelves in stores, and for parents buying for kids, that could get very confusing. Please TLG, if you want to remake all the police stuff, then wow us with a beautiful summer wave!

This year I decided not to buy fire stations. I was going to pick the 7208 because it was the one available, but then 60004 came out. To be honest, I was not a fan of either, but my town was in need of a fire station. As I was going to get the Fire Brigade anyway, I decided to skip the City fire stations for the modular one. I'm quite happy I did that. Although I did buy the 7498 Police Station (I think it's great!), I'm still waiting for a modular police station to be the "official" police headquarters in my town. I hope we'll get one soon.

Watch it be fire. :P

I don't see why we can't get a few fire sets based on some airport theme sets. We need a new airport.

Well if timing is anything, since there was a five year gap between coast guard/cargo themes......then farm maybe next year and a new airport the following.....but this is only guess work. Lego in the back rooms know what's happening in 2015 already as it takes time to tool up for new parts and colours.

Non-fantasy divers. Oceanographers. The Atlantis theme was cool and all but we haven't had any Ocean exploration sets for years. It could even be Octan oil pipeline repair. Submariner workmen. There just needs to be a boat, a sub, an ROV, some divers and crew and some harpoon guns to fight off the sharks that have recently infested the waters around Lego City.

I loved the old divers theme but with the parts available now the subs could really be something awesome. Perhaps Lego could even do a new part of a wetsuit hood with the mask attached instead of using a separate mask with a clunky looking helmet? There could be a small oil rig platform similar in size to 4210 Coast Guard Platform

Octan get their oil from somewhere so why not offshore? And if there was an accident then all those Fire boats Lego keep churning out are going to have something to attend.

If Lego are going to avoid boring people to death then Divers revived could be a decent place to start.

Small Update following picture view

Camper with Canoe, very similar to the last camper van, but comes with the big red canoe from the Indian/pirate themes, nothing special, lime green stripe, white camper. 2 minifies.

Jeep with Jetski(s ?) It's a Dark Red 4x4 pulling a trailer with 2 JetSki's aboard, I think one was lime green and the other was orange

Wood Transporter - This one was not in the catalogue.

Car Transporter - This was the best of the bunch, it's a 6 wide yellow cab european style truck, single axle, room for a car on the top deck and the lower deck. It pulls a trailer again with an upper and lower deck. but the noted point about the trailer, it only had a single axle, which is almost unseen on car transporters, they would usually have dual axles or tri axles in real life, but looks like it will be great for multiple copy's and mocing. Comes with 2 neat cars, one of which I think was white. The cars have the smart new wheel hubs. It appears to use 1 x 6 technic axles to hold up the top deck, the top deck is made of what looks like old Lego Ladders. Making the total width just over 6 studs wide.

Racing Car 6 wide Octan racing colours, looked a little like the shape of a porsche 911, comes with a driver and a over sized trophy

Monster Truck - I saw it, but must have been average as I don't have any memory of this one.

Repair Car (probably a car for breakdown service). This was a street lamp repair vehicle, it's like the mining 4x4 from the other year, in orange with a white cherry picker on the back, the guy is repairing a street lamp, also included.

Tow Truck (supposably fort rucks since we already had one for cars this year). This is a 6 wheeled heavy duty American Style Big Rig tow truck, it has a heavy duty lift arm on the back. It's chassis is light blue grey, it has an orange stripe and a blue cab/body on the truck.

Airport Fire Truck - This is a big oversized 8 wheel red fire truck, (using 2, 4 windscreens, when will lego remake a 8 wide windscreen! I remember it having a pull out hose on the side, it was 8 wide. Using similar size wheels to the crane from the town centre this year. The wheels were black with black hubs.

Overall, nice range of sets, I think the fire truck and the car transporter will be circa £24.99 whilst the Tow Truck, Camper Van and Car with JetSkis will be around £17.99 and the Monster Truck and Racing Car around £9.99 at a guess

As for the police sets, as expected they were all fairly lame, the break-out of the police station is a very lack luster police station with a pick up truck using some chains to break someone out of jail. The Bandit's hiding place was nicely built, but we had one this year. The police boat transport for me was the best set of the bunch. The mobile control unit was just another police truck like all the others. The helicopter chase involves another oversized police helicopter.

Some other interesting things to note is there is about 10 sets being released to compliment the Lego Movie being released on 14th February. These sets were listed in the catalogue, but the images were not available.

Looks like my theory on the vehicle sizes were right. Now we just need pictures :excited:

Edit: In total how many cars can the transporter haul? Four?

Thanks for the info. I like the sound of the smaller trucks (like the lamp repair), and especially this:

Racing Car 6 wide Octan racing colours, looked a little like the shape of a porsche 911, comes with a driver and a over sized trophy

A LEGO 911 (even in shape only) is something to look forward to.

I wonder if there will be new front end body kit parts.....like 6 wide versions of 4 wide parts originally designed for the Cars/Cars2 themes.

It's too early for pictures, I'm sure a retailers catalogue will eventually leak online, but at the moment these confidential ones are the only thing that is likely to leak online over the coming weeks, they will be taken down just as quickly as they go up. Pop to your local independent Lego toy retailer and ask if you can see his 2014 catalogue.

Depending on when sets are being release determines also when catalogues are given to the dealers.....as far as I know in Oz no independent retailer has a catalogue yet so they are ordering by name of the set only and hoping for the best.

Now about to the car carrier trailer......'andythenorth', that truck had a single rear axle.....the truck, not the trailer.......'p_d' said the trailer had a single axle on it...which again doesn't make sense. Perhaps Lego should talk to car and truck designers before putting their spin on things eh ?

yes, only 6 wheels in total on the set, 4 on the truck, 2 on the trailer. I guess the pictures are still the prototype ones, so they might change before the final set is released.

So it's a basic car carrier, but does it have the upper deck on either truck or trailer ?
