just2good Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Why do people insist on putting image files (either one file or a slideshow) on YouTube instead of Flickr or some other image hosting site? I believe LLM does so they can profit off it. The box design looks fantastic! Edited January 26, 2014 by just2good Quote
CptPJs Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Putting them on Youtube seems to slow down the removal as well, images uploaded by themselves usually last about an hour or two, Youtube things can easily be up for days or longer. Quote
Dorayaki Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Legoleaksmexico has put up a picture of the Heartlake Mall set! So it's an outdoor mall... I need to see more pictures on this one, as I'm not totally convinced yet! Well, kinda dissapointing to me, I expect the building part to be more integrated, not another Winter Market. And I'm not sure it's the building style of Heartlake. It looks like the heroines found an exotic place after they just adventured the jungle. Another boy! Troy! Nice name. Abit weird for that the TLG designs don't actually ever consider Jacob in physical sets. (Not a fan of him, but I don't think he's difficult to be physical compared with Lacy. Why do people insist on putting image files (either one file or a slideshow) on YouTube instead of Flickr or some other image hosting site? Offtopic, but I personally don't like see too many "videos" with text or picture only. It's kinda like the wrong space for fanbase discussion. Edited January 27, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote

skelliesgang Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 LOL... Matthew, Robert, and Daniel must be triplets. Quote
LukeWarmTea Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Oh dang, I think you're right it does say Boy - but if he's brunette with a blue tee, maybe he's Jacob? Quote
Justin M Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 That scooter is something I'll have to get a few of Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Older woman is wearing a beauty mask complete with towel! Haha, and this isn't an outdoor mall, there's a revolving door. -Sci Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Definitely something I think I'll pass on, but it's got good playability. The finish on some of the buildings, however comes across as sloppy. For instance the white 1x4 w/ 2 studs on pink... why not make them pink? Budget? Also the MdAzure in the building looks to be a bit messy. The 41036 looks to be better designed, but not so exciting. 2013 was the best year after all, with the glory continuing to the winter wave this year. But these set, I am simply not crazy for, and I fear these might not sell as well. But for my purposes, the cool yellow 1x1 and 1x2x3 slope inverts are things I am looking forward to having, either first or second hand. Edited January 30, 2014 by brickbuilder711 Quote
Yooha Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Car and Caravan in the top left corner. picture I guess I'm the only one who waits for the Mountain Hut (which I don't see on that picture). EDIT: your photostream is something worth looking at :) Edited January 30, 2014 by Yooha Quote
Rick Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 EDIT: your photostream is something worth looking at :) It's not my photostream. It's the photostream where all the pictures of the Nuremberg Toy Fair so far are coming from. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Cute little car and caravan combo there.....has an early 1960's feel to it.......note also the radiator grille sticker. Quote
finnbricker Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 The mall is a disappointment. Even if some nice details seem to be included, it is not a mall, more like an open-air market with simple stalls. No roofs, no walls... It's not a building. I had expected this set to include a couple of shops resembling the previous Heartlake shops. Quote

Don't forget you need to play with it, respectively kids shall play with it and to them a roof would be an obstacle Quote

I think this picture makes the mall look much more impressive than I was expecting from the previous blurry pic. Yeah... I wanted a completely enclosed building. But this is better for playing purposes. Quote
HandofBobb Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 is that a box of Friends CMF? I was really hoping to get a better look at the Jungle Bridge.. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 is that a box of Friends CMF? I was really hoping to get a better look at the Jungle Bridge.. Nope, it's the Animal Packs. Does this help with the Jungle Bridge? -Sci Quote

-SD- Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I'm quite liking the Shopping Mall. It's certainly more substantial than we've been led to believe. Quote
HandofBobb Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hrm, I can't quite get the Quote function to work for me. Thanks for answering on the Animals packs, I'd never seen them in a box like that, just on the hooks at my local Walmart. I' caught thet preliminary pic of 41036 before, but between the watermarks and the glare its a bit hard to make out the details (I know, being greedy over sneek peeks), seeing just a corner of it in the Mall pic seems like a cruel joke... I do actually really like the mall- as my roommate said when I showed it to him "were gonna need a lot more Zombies..." Quote
meyerc13 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Is it just me, or are those french fries at the second restaurant next to the pizza place? Quote
