Another thing: Let's assume that there will be a 80's something space guy with broken helmet. Will it be a regular helmet that will be broken somehow in the factory, or a new mold, where the helmet is forged broken? With the two end joined after all to avoid to be really broken.

Since they didn't do up a new mold for the Morgan Freeman's character's staff, I imagine they won't give us a "broken" helmet. I'd like to see the Classic Space helmet return; probably no more than an even chance at that, though.

He should have a distinct face, though.

I'm not so sure, actually. Of course his staff in the movie is a mostly-eaten lollipop, with a little bit of candy remaining to make the head of the staff, and the staff in the physical sets is topped with one of the Moonstone elements that debuted with the Monster Fighters theme... but Monster Fighters came out just last year, and would have to have been developed largely at the same time as the movie's preproduction. I've been wondering whether the part might therefore actually have been designed in conjunction with the production design for The LEGO Movie, intended from the beginning as the piece that would be used for Vitruvius' staff, and Monster Fighters simply got to actually use it first. Certainly the resemblance of the uneaten bit of candy in the movie to the actual LEGO element is pretty close; I suspect it's no accident.

If so, it likely would hardly be the only time a part was specially designed for a particular role in an upcoming set or theme, but some other set or theme actually got to use it first - for example, the Minifigures Series 9 Forest Maiden's hair was pretty dead-on for Princess Leia's hairstyle in the Ewok Village on Endor, and many here considered it evidence that an Ewok Village was actually coming (as indeed it did, and indeed Leia used the same hair).

It's not really part of the main line. The main line is numbered while the side journey ones aren't.

It's still a part of the main line. It is even called Collectible Minifigures. It's just based on the movie. It seems silly to have this made up rule that you have to have all of them but only if they have a number associated with the name. If you are trying to be a completist and don't grab these or the Olympic figs then your collection is incomplete.

Actually, not so - in fact, none of them are officially named "Collectible Minifigures," but just plain "Minifigures" - we're the ones who use the word "Collectible" as part of the name. It's not part of the official name any more than "Classic" is really part of the official name of what we all call "Classic Space" - to TLG, it's just Space.

Note, too, that the official Minifigures minisite doesn't list the minifigures for The LEGO Movie, just as it doesn't include the Team GB ones. The LEGO Movie Minifigures are instead listed with the rest of the sets based on The LEGO Movie. While the concept of random, blind-bagged minifigures is obviously a variation on the core concept of the Minifigures line, TLG apparently considers these minifigures part of their overall The LEGO Movie line, rather than the Minifigures line.

If you're a collector, your collection is "complete" or "incomplete" depending upon whether you're trying to get all the so-called CMFs (including Team GB, TLM, and The Simpsons, along with any other such "special," "one-off" series they might do in the future), or just the ones who are part of the actual Minifigures line (i.e., the numbered series) (not to mention one's own personal collecting goals, such as trying to get all the City-appropriate figures, or all the ones from classical antiquity).

Likely because the "good cop" face is used in the set minifigures - the collectible one is specifically identified as "Scribble Face Bad Cop" after all.

Perhaps his good face got erased after he let Emmet go or something, but the Good Cop persona still exists, and he scribbles a replacement face in a time of need? I imagine it'll be something like that...

Well, people have their own choices and tastes. Some may just try to get specific minifigures or series, not even to say there are some discontinued licensed regular sets that are often regarded as "incomplete".

I think it's true that the elements in special CMF series are different (Team GB include similar athletes that have appeared in previous series or regular sets, while Lego Movie mix up some protagonists, personalities with new original CMFs.) Those who like the originality of normal CMFs can just get normal series. Just don't say that special/licensed series should be forbidden for no reason.

I came here to check if there was some more news, or people that noticed something special, about the the new upcomming series of bagged minifigures.. only to find a discussion that is mainly about semantics..

Just realiesed that President's Buisness' torso can be used for a Mr Bean

Now that's making the best of a new torso!

I was looking back at the picture and was curious, is Wyldstyle's dress supposed to make her look "skinny"? Notice how the torso shirt design is smaller than her actual torso, seemed odd.

You mean the "curved" lines? They do that with all female torso's, I checked back and nothing seems to be different, can you please explain what is making her look "skinny"? All I see is curved lines.

Now that you point it out I do see it on more female figs, though certainly not all of them. I just hadn't been very observant previously I guess. I was indeed referring to how her outfit curves in around the waist which I perceive as making her look skinnier than the actual torso mold.

Yes, now every adult female minifig has the "feminine curves". Some torso used for girls obviously don't, but most female torsos have them.
