Lego Spy Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Hopefully I'll be able to swing by my local TRU to pick up a few of these sometime soon. I'll be after the Bad Cop for the iPhone. Quote
JeagerEX Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Toys-R-Us item number: 183118 UPC # 673419207533 I tried three times at my local TRU, but they said they don't have them. Huh? Maybe I'll try on the 24th of Dec or the days after Christmas since I cannot call them for that right now. I'll just wait, relax and be patient instead. For those people who are confused, try this Item #: 6059278. I hope it works. Edited December 24, 2013 by JeagerEX Quote

JeagerEX Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I went to my local TRU today then I show the item # to them. She told one of the employees who works in the backroom and they said, they will not release it until Jan 1, 2014. The reason why they told me that because for my own good is to wait and be patient. swe3t23 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 haven't seen them at my local target. ummmm Quote
Jeff Huntington Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My wife surprised my son and I for Christmas with 18 of them she was able to get at a Toys R Us in mid-December. She went back last weekend to try to get more, she said, but they were all gone. No surprise since they broke street date and anyone who saw them probably snatched up while they could. Distribution was average, I guess. 3 of the policeman, 2 each of: Abraham Lincoln, William Shakespeare, mermaid, lady construction worker, and barista; 1 of: President Business, Panda guy, Mr. No-Pants, robot secretary, robot western girl. The barista would be my favorite if he didn't have a printed nametag. The printed cup is a great piece and has inspired me to build a coffee shop for my town. I guess all the employees will be named Larry. Quote
Kez Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My lego store in Leeds had all lego movie sets, sadly due to my lack of funds I couldn't afford to pick any up, but hopefully I will go back next week to purchase all of the new minifigures. Quote
Faefrost Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My local TRU had them today, so I grabbed 10 packs randomly (no feeling or searching). Not a bad pull. 8 unique figs out of 10. The only extras I got were an extra Western Wildstyle and an extra Robo Hooker. I'm really impressed with these. In hand they are much better than the pictures. I love the robo hookers hair and hat. and for MOC'ers her dress isn't that bad and could easily be converted to a fleshier tone by swapping the arms. The silver swath at the top of the dress looks more like the dress than like skin. Emett is great. I had not realized he had a double sided head. The second face is a huge anime type smile with closed eyes. Very expressive. Very useful. I also had not realized that the barista has a new hair piece. Once again extremely useful and I hope we see more in different colors. (Is it one from the Friends line?). I'm going to need to get another cat lady. The one I got has already been confiscated to send to the wifes Aunt who it resembles in all too many ways. Probably the dullest of what I got were the No Pants dude (useful hair and face for Ninjago and cool shirt, but other wise strange fig) and the Taco Tuesday dude who really is just a retread. Quote
beatpoet Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) Found them at a TRU in Cincinnati today, picked up four and ended up with Larry the Barista, Wild West Wyldstyle, Velma Staplebot and Marsha Queen of the Mermaids. Wild West Wyldstyle is definitely my favorite of the four. Will have to pick up more next week. The box had been picked through a bit it seemed already. Edited December 28, 2013 by beatpoet Quote

Zulithe Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Nice that they are being sold already. My luck I'd go to TRU and find them only to be told they can't sell them. Already happened to me in the past. Quote
swe3t23 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 got them all at the lego store. love this series. very fun Quote
SMC Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 That fact that they are £2.50 in the UK will change my plan, I can understand the Simpsons being more but not these, dont think the price will go back now even fir the normal series. I saw them in the MK Lego shop and would have got some but for the price, will have to wait for an offer now. Quote

That's really disappointing to hear. I think I will hold back on a lot of these then, as it is difficult justifying £2.50 for a single figure, none of which really have any new accessories. I also agree that future sets will probably also be priced the same. I hope these don't sell as well here as a result. In a way it is good news I have no interest in the Simpsons so I don't have to spend much later in the year. Quote

L@go Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) They were 2.00 before? CMF were always 2.50€ in my country.... also in Germany.... There's not much difference between £2.00 and 2.50€. In Norway, they've been about £2.50, or roughly €3.00, since series 1 (unless my memory is playing tricks on me). But that's pretty much how the difference is across all product lines, so we're used to that. Edited December 30, 2013 by L@go Quote
ACPin Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I've seen them both in TRU and Lego stores in my area. AC Quote
AmperZand Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 That is one way to buy Collectible minifigures..just grab the whole box! haha, I hadn't considered that before. For the last few series, I bought a whole box, kept the ones I wanted and gave the ones I didn't to my nephews or sold them at cost to fellow AFOLs. I don't think I'll be doing that this time though as there are so few from this series that I want. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 There in stores now? I'll be looking for Marsha and Wiley very soon now. Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Minifigures site was updated, with bios and everything! The icon for the site is the Where are my Pants? Guy The 'My Collection' part of the site is broken... filled in the figs I have from this series and it went down to 0/192 -Sci Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Went to 2 different Targets today, and neither had anything for the new series. I should check out Toys R Us, a lot of news that their emerging there. Quote
DannyRww Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Cool that they have them on the minifigure site......I can check them off for my collection...they are not labeled as series 12 either Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Hey, I'm wondering--the top of Lord Business' hair is almost perfectly square. Does it fit in anything? I'm wondering if that square hole in Emmett's 1 x 1 x 2 brick fits on Business' head and whether the plot of the movie has anything to do with that. I also just noticed that Wyldestyle and Gail the Construction Worker have very similar faces, right down to the freckles. Could they be the same person (maybe Gail is an undercover disguise), or am I just imagining it? Edited December 31, 2013 by ResIpsaLoquitur Quote
DannyRww Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I was thinking the same thing about Gail and Wyldestyle......Gail's character description on the site could fit that it says she doesn't notice emmit but what if Emmit did something to stand out or something like that Quote
