Usually I don't like revamps, but this one looks even better than the original one! And what a head print! I surely want to add him to my collection.) Though I think that the lighting piece is from some other fig...

'2011lilibetho10', who tends to get his hands on figures early, listed the brick-compatible (non-LEGO) Hot Wheels on eBay. The interesting part is that he also include a figure in the listing which seems to be a new Luchador figure, and I'm guessing it's from The LEGO Movie CMF Series...

Erm - huh? "Brick-compatible (non-LEGO) Hot Wheels"? What's this about??

(I'm afraid the link isn't working for me, so I can't see if there's more information there.)

I've asked several times over the years about new products arriving in my stores, and the employees always tell me: "We never know what we're gonna get on the delivery truck." By that statement alone I think we can say they don't have a retailer catalog.

Having previously worked for TRU & unloaded deliveries, I can confirm that this is the case.

That Luchador figure figure looks awesome. I hope it is the real deal and not a moc.

Its a real minifig, but his appearance reminds me of El Toro from Jackie Chan Adventures.

However this red luchador minifig confirmed in S12, but I cannot wait for the Security Guard, Jogger and Abe Lincoln.

Sorry if I missed it, but do you know where to find a list of these?

It's a hot wheels car that you can actually put lego minifigures and bricks on. The brick show has a review on it. There's 2 versons, a mostly yellow one and a mostly red one. I got lucky and found the red one in walmart. there had to be well over 150 cars in the section yet only 1 Fig rig. I haven't had a chance to open mine yet though.

In the retailer catalogue, the lines, in a very bad italian (surely roughly translated by someone not able or an automatic program) say more or less this:

S12

  • Get the bags and exchange them with your friends
  • Fantastic minifigures extracted from the last Lego movie
  • A tested lego theme
  • Marketing support from studios partner

Were there any pictures or what is the colour of S12 at last?

No, but I already told you that S12 will be some kind of electric/metallic dark blue.

Ok here you are... it's confidential so I hope I am not damaging anyone just in showing a color.

That color is pretty close to S2.

Which is pretty annoying for people using matching brick colors for the display. Maybe I can use transparent blue for this one.

I have to repeat myself since someone did not read:

"Additionally, the company’s line of collectible LEGO Minifigures will receive its first Hollywood makeover with a series inspired by “THE LEGO MOVIE” cast of 16 new and “new-again” LEGO characters."

New again means that they can release already released characters.

My interpretation of “new-again” is we will see variations of previous CMF’s. In the movie trailer we see a red wrestler (while in Series 1 we had a blue wrestler) and we see a mermaid with blue hair in the trailer (while in Series 9 we had the blonde mermaid). My assumption is that we won’t see “vintage” minifigures. They had a separate line dedicated to that a few years back and it appears it was not as popular as the CMF series.

Fair point, but as many folks have pointed out, the trailer was littered with vintage characters so this may be a great opportunity to interest a new generation in classic characters.

At the present time, stakes are high that we will have a revamp of the classic space guy, with purposelly broken chinstrap and different face.

IMHO.

They really looks great. it's a 16 out of 16 for me.

New hairpieces, clothing and! a coffeeguy, which is fantastic for a purist like me.

Geez, when I thought it couldn't get weirder it gets weirder. I think however these look great, new hard hat with hair attached, Octan Mug, smart phone, new cat, western pieces, robot heads, Coffee cup and Abraham Lincoln!
