Lord Vladivus Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Who let this guy in? Ravaage. Before he came along, there was just Dr Rod. And a whole lot of darkness. Quote
Crazycrownieguy Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Hello everyone, I have been following the Guilds of Historica for a while now, and I have finally decided to join in on the fun I would like to join Nocturnus, and I wondering if my character could be an elf that has been exiled from avalonia for various heinous acts? Thanks Quote
ZCerberus Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 I would like to join Nocturnus, and I wondering if my character could be an elf that has been exiled from avalonia for various heinous acts? Good choice and absolutely. Exiled elf haven! Quote
SkaForHire Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 @ZC we should be the envy of Historica everyone else is pretty much just human- we're so varied, and you can run wild with ideas, there's so much scope here! Well that is not really true, Kaliphlin was the original diverse guild, as really there were only ever four types of creatures that were represented in Nocturnus before book 2, humans, orcs, werewolves, and undead... We had a slew of different peoples represented in Kaliphlin in book 1. Now Mitgardia... that's a pretty homogeneous bunch. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Why are 90% of Nocturnus characters always exiled Avalonians or people who grew up in Avalonia and decided to live in Nocturnus??? Surely you would be mad to leave the 'Garden Of Historica' and go to the Basement! Wait....I get it now, really its a cunning plan to take down Nocturnus from within. All these former Avalonian's are secretly hard at work to bring down the Nocturnus system. Excellent work lads! Quote

I concede that, but I think the lack of species in Nocty was because of the membership that dropped off. A lot of the Kaliphlin stuff came around later, especially with the Kaliphlin CMF thing. But still, Nocty should have scope for a LOT of weird and dark species. Half of them are declaring for Ravaage and the Black Spire, so to be honest, it's wonder Revolword was taken out at all... Quote

Derfel Cadarn Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 They don't call me 'Quick Steve' for nothing ya know. Actually they really don't call me Quick Steve at all. Quote
Legonardo Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 They don't call me 'Quick Steve' for nothing ya know. Actually they really don't call me Quick Steve at all. most of us call you Derfel Cadarn actually Quote
NiceMarmot Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 most of us call you Derfel Cadarn actually I call him 1x1 grey-round plate-guy. But after seeing his latest MOCs, I might have to change that... Quote
Legonardo Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I just call him boss. Sums it up pretty good Quote
ZCerberus Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Back in the day when we were all the Avalonian 2 initial crew, I called him DC. We had DC, ZC, dG, MB, LD, BB, ZM... we even called Avalonia "Av" But then some of us got kicked out of Av. I now think those of us who got the boot got it because we no longer fit the two initial theme. Everyone just calls me Z, LD dropped the D, and I now call BB "CBB" to give him his proper title and distinguish with the former Mitgardian new Avalonian BB. I guess ya'll are just prejudiced against those of us who don't roll with the two initials anymore. Quote
Niku Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I call him by using the phone... Oh wait. Bad pun intended. Quote
ZCerberus Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 I call him by using the phone... Oh wait. Bad pun intended. This is why you never got in the two initial club Niku! Better puns and you'll be Nk before you know it. Quote
Duke Blastus Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Now Mitgardia... that's a pretty homogeneous bunch. We sons of the North resent that comment! Not only do we boast the largest Dwarf city in Historica, we've got orcs, yetis, trolls, halflings, even some elves have found a home here! Now Avalonians on the other hand... Quote

Duke Blastus Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Aside from the elves, y'all have beards. Even your ladies. Hah! You say that like it's a bad thing! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I suppose, otherwise the cold would freeze your fragile weak Mitgardian bodies if they weren't covered in hair. So then you wouldn't be around to provide comic fodder. About the only useful thing Mitgardia does. And secondly it scratches when you kiss a bearded lady. It's an odd sensation. (Note, this is IN character, y'all are nice bearded ladies really.) Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 So I wonder if the bearded women are the real warriors in Mitgardia and the men are weak and just stay at home? Still, Mitgardia's a great place to go for fine ales and mead, plus their land does boast some of the most beautiful scenery you will see in Historica. Gotta love those snowy scenes! Nocturnus has its charms also! Lets be honest, who wouldn't want to have a relaxing stroll across the wastelands on a carpet of skulls, hot lava raining down like fire works. Older tourists may remember 'The Bog Of Eternal Stench'? One of Nocty's most famous landmarks. Charming little place and great for hardening the new recruits! Quote
Legonardo Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Yeah man, that bog one of the main attractions! Quote

Lord Vladivus Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Gah! What about Moruth? Nobody goes there nowadays, barbarians. We need to start a campaign to raise awareness of Moruth. "Moruth Matters! Take a stroll through some of the most inhospitable swamp in the, well, universe. Drink in the disease infested vistas, be swallowed alive/dead/undead by the Man-Eating Oak, enjoy the sharp caress of the razor vines, and drink a pint of lethal poison with the Swamp People. All you need to visit, is a life you're willing to lose. Step right up!" Quote
