Lord Vladivus Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 @Penkid that was a groaner. I hear the. Mitgardians have a book for each style of braiding. It's full of pictures, as barbarians don't really get a great education. @CBB there are good American beers, I just prefer my English brews. I'm kinda spoilt though, I tend to drink stuff from local breweries though, I tend to steer clear of the mass produced stuff. I'm definitely a beer snob haha! In other news, I've just finished my third tribe, gotta photograph it and then the Ungolians will be here! Quote
Captain Flint Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Enthmor lives on the border between Rakath mountains and Moruth swamplands. A long time ago before he became a half-dead warrior he was a soldier who lost his life, right arm and right leg in a brutal war. The old dark wizard woke him from the dead with black magic and the good old blacksmith made him a steel arm and a leg. Now with steel arm-sickle cut toxic vegetation in swampy places and with steel leg crushed even the creepy creatures on the ground. Now looking for revenge for the consequences. At the request of some members, I finally joined to the Nocturnus. Edited October 16, 2013 by Captain Flint Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 @Captain Flint, welcome to GoH! Nice fig, and cool plants on the vig! Quote

PenPlays Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 It appears that my computer is having a hard time getting flickr images to load. 'Tis a shame, considering most of our "super builders" use flickr... @Penkid that was a groaner. I hear the. Mitgardians have a book for each style of braiding. It's full of pictures, as barbarians don't really get a great education. They get an education to begin with? I've only heard of schools in Valhol and Ondyllion. Even then, I don't think the barbarians have that much of a care for school. Enough, talk about barbarians, let's discuss the men of Mitgardia, as this lady barbarian talk is getting a little tiring. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I think flickr is having a couple of issues at the moment, I'm having problems with it. Mitgardian men? My villagers have just received a massive order of baby oil (it's made of liquified babies you see), so they can make their chests glisten in the sun. It's to blind their opponents, as they can't actually fight. Quote
gedren_y Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 All of Yahoo seems to be having server problems. Earlier the image listed as private when I clicked on it. The link works now, but I still can't see the image on the page. You may want to redo the image link. It's cool to see someone who isn't afraid to mod official lego parts. Nice mushroom design. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Yahoo is good for me now, but apparently the USA is having problems now, it might be something like maintenance cycling through the servers. Quote
janatale Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 We have beers over 20 abv here in the states. As a Delaware resident I am lucky to be so close to Dogfish head brewery and their 15-20% abv 120 minute IPA. In fact all of dogfish head is delicious, delicious beer. Quote

You see, it's an efficiency thing with a picture being worth a 1000 words. Also, pictures are multi-lingual. Therefore, one can say that Mitgardians are the most intelligent of them all. I'm not so much an IPA fan, but agree with the Dogfish Head = delicious. Quote

I've seen the most pic heavy MOCs in Kaliphlin. Most Mitgardians are one pic-ers if I recall correctly. Congrats on using a compound word that requires a dash correctly in a sentence. Maybe I should reconsider my thoughts... naa. Edited October 15, 2013 by Penkid11 Quote

Excelling in classes in muscle-flexing, beard-braiding, how-to-let-the-women-do-the-hard-work and beer drinking do not constitute an excellent education. A fun one admittedly, but not one with much real world application. One can also say that Mitgardians are gods. Saying something does not give it validity (maybe comic validity). And I shall refer you to Penkid for his demonstration of the falsehood in your statement. Quote
Legonardo Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The tribes Challenge is drawing to a close very fast now, whos up for another Nocty Challenge? I smell one just over the horizon ... I mean bog Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Introducing the Nocty 'Build A Bog' challenge! Nocty's first line of defense, the smell of the 'Bog' can wipe out armies long before they even set foot in Nocturnus. Now's your chance to 'Build That Bog', extra points for those that add real smell! LOL Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Totally up for that. More challenges! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 It's got Abyssian. Do you mean like the others have Albion, Valholl and Petrea? Quote
Eleinad Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 yes, Abyssian looks more like a castle. Quote
Legorski Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Any words on when anything is going to be announced? Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 @Legorski ZC says soon. @Eleinad I don't think that's all of Abyssian, the way I understand it, it's built on a series of those rock pillars, so there could be more. I always assumed that was Ssilyrrlith personal dwelling. I'm not sure if his throne room would actually fit. But don't quote me on this. Quote
ZCerberus Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 You see us Core Leaders were trying to build some MOCs to get you all jazzed for challenge 1. The story and challenge criteria is already written but the Black Spire's fortress... the Obsidian Spike is not yet complete (though it is very close). Then some photos need to happen and get edited. There is a pretty good chance an announcement will come this weekend if all the MOCs are finished. On the city front- yes, I think that does need to happen and I have a person who is loosely working on some ideas for that now. We're still in early stages, but it is coming along. Also watch for a little build project from our friend Legonardo soon. I haven't forgotten about the Tribes mini-challenge either. I know who won round 1, but now I am thinking heavily about round 2. Some really good entries in both rounds. I also need to update the first post when I finally get a minute and add some more sweet tribes to the posts up there. So much stuff in Nocturnus! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Schweeeet. Looking forward to the first challenge! Quote
