Till what extent is magic allowed?

I have plans for some sort of shapeshifter-character, yet I definitly want it to be mitgardian and not nocturnian :p it will be shifting between human and lion, probably. Maybe a bear.

Seeing as the mitgardians are busy dying their beards for Easter, I'll answer as a Nocturnian. :tongue:

I don't see any problems with shapeshifters. Your character sounds awesome! Magic kind of varies by guild and your character seems well within the boundaries. Kaliphin is ruled by an un-dead mummy, Nocturnus has magic everywhere, and the trees in Avalonia have cast some kind of smell over the inhabitants that makes them wear tights and hug trees.

Magic is totally allowed and your shapeshifter idea sounds really cool! As long as your character isn't all powerful, magic users are allowed in Mitgardia!

Reflecting on what the previous two people have said, magic is completely allowed. Though, if you want to make your character really powerful, you'll have to clear it with all of the GoH members to see if it's okay.

Great! I have this character in my head from puberty already. Wanted to write a story someday, but discovered lego is the very best way to do it:D

Don't be afraid about the power, it will just be to survive, not to dominate ^^

Looking into joining. Gathering parts for a good sig-fig, but I thought I should fly something by you all before I get too wrapped up in a particular character concept.

My character is, at this point, a itinerant monster hunter, specializing in the undead. He makes his living dealing with ghosts, wraiths, liches, and wights, as well as the occasional ghoul or boggart. Could there be a market for this sort of thing in Mitgardia, or should I take a fresh look at my character?

That sounds like a fresh approach to a character! It also sounds very interesting. You'll have to check with the guild leaders about a market for that sort of thing, but i really like the idea! Exited to see some of your builds!

I'm sure that'll happen at some point. Maybe later he'll be boss enough to try that kind of thing. Something tells me that Lord Vladivus wouldn't like a hunter of undead wandering his lands. :laugh:

Let me explain a little more. My character will come ashore in the Bay of Seals, on the edge of the Orcish Marshes. His ship was lost at sea, and he has to make his way to his eventual destination. Maybe Nocturnus? Don't know yet.

En route, he's going to deal with Orcs (whom he hates with an intensity to rival the dwarves), and the undead creatures that trouble the remote villages rarely visited by great warriors. He's going to acquire a couple of allies to help him on his quest. His oath to Mitgardia will be one of convenience at first, and gain more significance to him as time goes on.

Only because it is allowed lore-wise (i.e. exists) maybe doesn't mean that it's socially accepted? :wink:

VK 318, welcome to the guild, cool build.

And garmadon, what a cool coat of arms, great idea!

I'm currently renovating my house which will take about 8 weeks, but after the rebuild I'll will have my own lego room!! :laugh:

So then I can finally build some great mocs, I allready have some ideas.
