Garmadon Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Thanks guys (I'll stick to words, though )! Here's a little build I put together today, it was going to be for the AoM (sparring), but turned out as just a freebuild instead: Topic is here Quote
Garmadon Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Here goes for Book II Book II Alfadas Mandredson Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Alfadas was born and raised in a small town. He later became the leader of that small town, which under his leadership grew into a small city. He got bored after a while, so he got a few of his men and started traveling through Mitgardia. Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Cape, Torso and Arms, Scabbard, Legs (with peg), Sword, Bow Purr Behemoth Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Born in the south of Mitgardia, but raised with the northern clan traditions, Purr left his ancestral home just before turning 18, and seeking for fortune he crossed the country. Now its time to rebuild his impoverished ancestral home, with the wealth he found on his journey. Hometown: Parts: Head, Hat, Torso, Arms, Legs, Cape, Sword, Shield Rasmus Olander Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Rasmus Olander was born in Mitgardia, specifically up North in the Clan Lands. As it is well known, the Clan Lands are a harsh environment, where snow is present year long, and usually only the toughest men survive. As a boy, Rasmus was extremely weak and sickly. At first, his parents tried to help him toughen up for the climate, but as time continued, his father became ashamed of his son. Instead, Rasmus's father, Ragnar, focused on his younger son, who showed promise of being a strong warrior and leader. On Rasmus's 11th birthday, a year before most boys are tested by being sent into the cold to survive, Rasmus's father abandoned his son deep in the frozen mountains. His father was afraid that Rasmus would continue to embarrass him, and hoped the cold would kill him quickly. Instead of dying, Rasmus willed himself to survive and to prove his family wrong. He fought through blizzards and freezing temperatures to eventually find food and shelter. Over the next two years, he survived alone in the woods around the Clan lands. At the age of 13, Rasmus travelled South and all around Historica. Through his many travels he met a few friends, made many enemies, and acquired a thirst for adventure and treasure. After many years of travel, he returned home to Mitgardia to help with the current Civil War plaguing Nocturnus. He plans to eventually move back to the Clan Lands, but vows to never return to his former village. He hopes to never see his father again. Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Cape 1, Cape 2, Torso and Arms, Legs, Sword, Epaulets Branwell Hightower Titles and Profession: Swordsman, Strategist and Healer Short Bio: Bran is a young man from Wistvale, a small farm town in the tundra region of Mitgardia. His father is the ruling lord of the town and its surrounding farmlands. Wistvale is not a wealthy town, but its inhabitants have profound respect for their liege lord and have come to adore Bran over the years. Bran has spent most of his life helping the townsfolk on their farms, doing whatever needs to be done to help his neighbors get by. He has also learned many skills from townspeople willing to take him in as an apprentice. In particular, he is an adept healer, a skilled strategist, and a fair swordsman. He loves his homeland, but yearns for adventure and a chance to see the rest of the great wide world. Hometown: Wistvale Parts: Head, Hair, Torso, Arms, Legs, Sword Thorrak Seaborne Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Thorrak is a proud champion of Mitgardia, seeking to make a name for himself and will fight tenaciously to defend the lands he loves. Through his travels he has mastered several forms of melee combat, including a brand of unarmed combat that he developed himself. He is also fortunate enough to have trained in the basic magical arts, though he is far from a master. He finds himself now residing in the Easternmost Isle of the Isles of Solitude, enjoying the riches and quality of life that his adventures have brought for him. Hometown: Easternmost Isle of the Isles of Solitude Parts: Head, Hair, Cape, Torso, Arms, Legs, Bar Wyndor Grahamson Titles and Profession: Gatekeeper of Mitgardia, First son of Graham Short Bio: Wyndor Grahamson was born in Aalborg, a village west of Vaholl near the Antler River. His father Graham, who is an active leader in the village, still lives there. Currently Wyndor is on a quest to find his lost brothers who have gone missing in other parts of Historica. When he returns he will make his home farther north. Hometown: Dårlig Ulv Parts: Hair, Head, Torso, Arms, Hands, Legs, Scabbard, Sword, Shield Mr Breden Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Cape, Torso, Arms, Legs Jester Titles and Profession: Jester/Fool Short Bio: Jester, Mitgardian farmer's son, sold as a child to a Nocturnus lord to play the fool. Escapee, fugitive, abhorrs anything and everything sinister. Kindly requests shelter and protection in Mitgardia. Overestimates his own abilities, wannabe knight, hoping to find employment as some great Mitgardian lord's squire :-) Meanwhile, will dance and jest for food, apply himself to any trade, messaging, cowherding, masonry, carpentry and what not... Fools around, likes his drink, convinced that his garish outfit will get him saved from the snows whenever he gets himself in trouble again! Takes himself too seriously - laughs at everyone and everything else! Just wanna have a good moc(k)ing-time in Mitgardia Hometown: Parts: Head, Hat, Torso, Arms, Leg 1, Leg 2, Hips, Shield, Inverted Radar, Dot, Lance, Flag 1, Flag 2, Quiver Hagen of Merak Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Hagen was born under the Beta star of Ursa Majoris and protected by the Steed Sleipnir Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Hat, Visor, Breastplate, Torso, Arms, Legs, Sword Synbart of Stevarsholm Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Have been raised as the son of a merchant.. have seen many a place, but as they say: There's no place like a snowy home. Upon my arrival back in mitgardia.. wondering through the tundra.. Some guy walked up to me.. Saying that he was a Photographer. had some weird contraption & whole lot of something he called "Flashpowder" with 'm. Had to be something new & dwarven..cause there was a dwarf carring a keg on it's back.. Anywho.. he stole my soul & put it on a piece of paper.. fairly odd that it didn't change a lot for me... Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Cape 1, Cape 2, Torso and Arms, Legs Edward von Graystar Titles and Profession: Commander of the Forces of Graystar Short Bio: Son of Edgar von Graystar, Lord of Graystar. In his father's old age Edward has taken on the military might of Graystar, and with the recent civil war in Nocturnus has started reinforcing the defenses. He is the head of the Elite guard which is charged with defending the Lord and the Graystar family crest. Hometown: Graystar Parts: Head, Armour, Legs, Torso, Arms, Cape, Sword, Spear, Shield, Helmet, Flag, Yellow Hand Flag Alaric Dakdain Titles and Profession: Short Bio: Growing up in the capitol, Alaric got trained when he was very young. He rose in ranks through is young life; he was sent on a mission to the south to eliminate some burglers in the area, he grew fond of living outside of the capitol, so he left and now lives in the forest. He sometimes visits the capitol only to discuss formal matters at hand around Mitgardia. Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Torso, Arms, Scabbard, Legs, Sword, Cape Kevunlindar Titles and Profession: Wizard, Archer Short Bio: A 52 year old (well people think that, but actually he is 5200 year old) wandering man. His home stands aside of the Lake, but he's not home very often. Always wandering around, he's a wise man and knows a LOT of spells. As a proud Mitgardian this man will always defend his land with golden sword and staff in hand (the sword he uses for healing, it will ever only be used for killing bad creatures) and as the grumpy man he is, he will always serve the good! Hometown: Parts: Head, Hair, Cape, Torso, Arms, Kilt, Legs, Bar, Telescope, Jewel, Hand Olin the Smith Titles and Profession: Smith Short Bio: Olin set out from the Bay of Storms to make his way in the world, and perhaps become an armorer for the Mitgardian army. He is accompanied by his horse Sigrd, and a slightly over-sized hammer. Right now, he works at a forge outside in the cold, so perhaps his first quest will be to find something inside and warm. Eventually, when he has the money saved up, he'd like to visit the dwarves and learn their smithing secrets. Hometown: Parts: Head, Hat, Torso, Legs, Arms, Bar, Jumper, 2x1 Plate As you can see, I wasn't quite as strict as to the pics as with Book I, because most of them all pretty new. However, as their photography improves we can change the pics for better ones @ Ecc or Kabel, if either of you could make all the pics at least nearly the same size it would be great Edited February 7, 2014 by Garmadon Quote
IenjoyLego89 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 That must of taken a lot of work and time Garmadon, looks class and it's great to have it done :) Quote
DrColossus Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Holy cow Garmadon great job! Olin's head comes from, I think, the Ice Adventures. But I'll confirm tomorrow and let you know. Quote
Yooha Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Here goes for the Book I members ... Why do I don't have a picture (only a link)? UPDATE: okay, it is answered in the same post. I don't know what a BB code is, but here is the picture: Edited February 7, 2014 by Yooha Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Why do I don't have a picture (only a link)? UPDATE: okay, it is answered in the same post. I don't know what a BB code is, but here is the picture: <snip> The BBCode is the easiest (though not the only) way to get a picture off Flickr & post it here. My guess is you have that set on private (unintentionally, probably - I think it's the default though I'm not sure), so if you go to your settings you can probably change that for the future. Garmadon can probably just copy and paste your picture now though. Edit: I guess I didn't do much explaining of what/where the code is; if you click on the little box with an arrow to the right of a picture, you have the option to choose either the HTML or BBCode (EB takes BBCode), but if you have you stream set to a non-sharing mode (though the picture isn't private), it won't allow anyone besides yourself to get either code. DrColossus Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Quick update to the above: Olin is an Aquashark! Quote
Yooha Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) My permission in the set is the following: Anyone (Public) So it's not private. And I checked the BBCode that you said, but it looked a huge pile of characters to me (which makes sense someone who knows what it is, i'm sure). My method is to right-click on the picture -> original -> click->right click->open image in new tab -> copy the web address: http://farm4.staticf...c1b8975b4_o.png And paste this one in the "add image" here when I comment. UPDATE: But this BBCode seems easier as I see. W_pinewood forester 1 by Yooha9, on Flickr Wow, that looks good, thanks pal! Edited February 7, 2014 by Yooha Quote
kevkipo Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) As you can see, I wasn't quite as strict as to the pics as with Book I, because most of them all pretty new. However, as their photography improves we can change the pics for better ones Kevkipo, sorry, but I wasn't able to find where you got that torso from , if you could tell me I'll put it here. Also, Dr. Colossus, I could not find your head either, so I just put a similar one there (as close as I could find) @ Ecc or Kabel, if either of you could make all the pics at least nearly the same size it would be great Oh i tought i put that in the private message? here it is : http://www.bricklink.....<br /><br />It's from Iron Man 3 The Mandarin Great job on Book II! soccerkid6 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Progress progresses: Thanks for all the encouragement so far everyone, hopefully the finished build will be up within a week Quote
Garmadon Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) That must of taken a lot of work and time Garmadon, looks class and it's great to have it done :) Great work again, Looks amazing! Thanks Why do I don't have a picture (only a link)?... The problem was that, as you sent me the link I could copy the pic from the message, and I always use the BBCode from Flickr. I got it in there now, though Oh i tought i put that in the private message? here it is : http://www.bricklink.....<br /><br />It's from Iron Man 3 The Mandarin Great job on Book II! Holy cow Garmadon great job! Olin's head comes from, I think, the Ice Adventures. But I'll confirm tomorrow and let you know. Thanks guys, I just got it all fixed @Kevkipo, just so you know, you should probably take the pics out of the words when you quote something, it takes up to much room to quote a whole bunch of pictures Sk, looking even better now Edited February 7, 2014 by Garmadon Quote
soccerkid6 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Sk, looking even better now Well thank you I've been keeping all the best parts out of the WIP pics... What are you up to Isaac??? Stables Phase 3 Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 @Vlad: A half finished garrison rising above the ashes of Stoneroda would be really cool! It'd also be nice if the one or the other house was still somewhat visible in you moc. I'd already started to build when I saw this, so I altered what I was doing slightly. I've got part of the wall, plus a ruined house, both of which are being worked on by citizens. I would've included a whole house, but sadly I don't have enough bricks in the right colours to do it justice. Once I've finished, I'll shoot you a pm to check you're happy! Quote
kabel Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Vlad, this sounds great and I feel really flattered! Go Isaac, this looks great! Quote
Gunman Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Here is AoM Barracks phase 2 guys :) Edited February 7, 2014 by Gunman Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 ...UPDATE: But this BBCode seems easier as I see. <snip> Wow, that looks good, thanks pal! Yep, it's way easier! I agree that it sure doesn't make sense when you're staring at the code though! I guess I didn't make what I meant by private clear - I don't mean either the picture or the set. Once you go to your settings, you hit Privacy and Permissions (http://www.flickr.com/account/privacy/ - that may not work), my guess is it's the "Allow others to share your stuff" that's off (or says no). I just checked your picture myself & can't grab the BBCode. Garmadon could probably have done it the 'long way' like you've been doing, but my guess is he didn't know about it. And just in case you were wondering, you can delete the last line of the BBCode (W_pinewood forester 1 by Yooha9, on Flickr) if you feel so inclined. By the way, to all other GoHer's w/Flickr that haven't checked this part of their settings, it might be a good idea to go ahead and make sure that's a yes. That will also allow you to grab the code without signing in (I think Ska was having trouble with that). Quote
kabel Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 So Kai, when are you going to follow your brother and join this guild, now that you've helped him so much? Quote
kevkipo Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Thanks The problem was that, as you sent me the link I could copy the pic from the message, and I always use the BBCode from Flickr. Kai NRG Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 So Kai, when are you going to follow your brother and join this guild, now that you've helped him so much? He took a page out of my book there! But I'm sticking with Kaliphlin! Quote
SkaForHire Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I would invade Mitgardia and burn it to ashes to recover Kai if she joined your guild. (clearly she would have been under duress making such a choice) I am sure I would have the backing of all of Kaliphlin on that. She is too important to our guild. Quote
Alfadas Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) And another freebuild for the AoM challenge, tower phase lV. No more freebuilds any time soon, as I am going to focus on the Hersir challenge. Edited February 8, 2014 by Alfadas Quote
kabel Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I would invade Mitgardia and burn it to ashes to recover Kai if she joined your guild. You'd freeze your spoiled Kaliphlin butt off before you could get here though! Think Hannibal crossing the Alps! Quote
Mike S Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 You'd freeze your spoiled Kaliphlin butt off before you could get here though! Think Hannibal crossing the Alps! Nah, we would just bring a bunch of heliotropes with us and come on a sunny day. Quote
