MKJoshA Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Any word on what this boat challenge will be? I've started building mine and I want to know what story to put with it. Quote

robuko Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hello Northy chums, I am sure you have all noticed that evil bad people things have taken Nocturnus and Have taken quite a chunk of Avalonia. This incursion if it's successful would cut off Mitgardia and Kaliphlin. Meanwhile some hotheads are stirring up bad feeling between Mitgardia and Kaliphlin. This is a divide and conquer strategy. If we let it happen, we are likely to get whipped too. So I extend the hand of friendship to Mitgardia once again. Let us put our differences aside for now and focus on our common foe. By all means make awesome ships for the challenge, but we must come to the aid of our Avalonian friends and work together from now. (I bet this post assigns me to the Spire  ) Quote
MKJoshA Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 You say you offer the hand of friendship, but all I see is the dagger hidden behind your back. Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 You say you offer the hand of friendship, but all I see is the dagger hidden behind your back. By dagger, I suppose you mean Mitgardian waraxe used to take the lives of innocent and defenseless Sea Elves? Quote
Garmadon Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I'm looking forward to building for the naval challenge By dagger, I suppose you mean Mitgardian waraxe used to take the lives of innocent and defenseless Sea Elves? So... what is robuko doing with a Mitgardian waraxe anyways Quote
MKJoshA Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 By dagger, I suppose you mean Mitgardian waraxe used to take the lives of innocent and defenseless Sea Elves? First of all, it has not been proven that Mitgardians were involved in the reported accident. The only account comes from a Kaliphlinite which is in and of itself quite suspicious since the story is that Kaliphlin had nothing to do with it. Where did they get the story if they were there hmm? Second, I do not mean waraxe. I mean dagger. Just another attempt by Kaliphlin to twist words to suit their own means. For shame. Quote

I know I haven't been very active lately, but it looks like nothing has changed. Kaliphinites continues to make up lies to make themselves look better. Quote
kabel Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 True, but why would the Mitgardian oak bother whether a boar rubs its back against its trunk? Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Kaliphlin Times, the most respected newspaper in all the world, reports that the source of the story was none other than one of the crew members of the Mitgardian vessel Fishmonger's Wife. He was bragging about their exploits in a bar. Of course, if you want to make these kind of arguments, who is to say the "pirates" that were found in Mitgardia were from Kaliphlin? Quote
DrColossus Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Kaliphlin Times, the most respected newspaper in all the world, reports that the source of the story was none other than one of the crew members of the Mitgardian vessel Fishmonger's Wife. He was bragging about their exploits in a bar. Ha! That rag? I wouldn't use it to wrap fermenting shark meat. Of course, if you want to make these kind of arguments, who is to say the "pirates" that were found in Mitgardia were from Kaliphlin? They had pomegranate juice on their hands! Of course they were from Kaliphlin! ...It's still cool to trash-talk, right? Quote

Of course they were from Kaliphlin! ...It's still cool to trash-talk, right? As you are a Mitgardian, I am surprised you could have read it anyway. Besides, as long as you are buying the paper, we don't care what you do with it. Yeah its all in good fun. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Ha! That rag? I wouldn't use it to wrap fermenting shark meat. Even if you could read the Mitgardia's Troubles section you still probably wouldn't bother reading it. Quote
Jakon Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Our ports have ships from all over the world, who is to say that the dumb pirate was affiliated with our illustrious guild? Quote
DrColossus Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 As you are a Mitgardian, I am surprised you could have read it anyway. Besides, as long as you are buying the paper, we don't care what you do with it. Oh, we don't read it. Here in Raven's Eye, we burn 'em for heat! Once a week, a dwarf comes down from Pikesteel and stands in the village square reading the news, which makes it easy for us. Although the dwarfish news is mostly about the price of metals... Quote
robuko Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 All this trash talking is very macho blah blah but surely you can see the Kaliphlin/Mitgardia pirate stuff is a massive red herring designed to divide & conquer. If Avalonia falls you will by surrounded by Drow and they will kill your men and take liberties with your ladies' beards. Alliance with Kaliphlin is your best option (and our best option) right now. Build your fine navy but get ready to send it to Avalonia, where it's needed. Quote
MKJoshA Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 First they came for the Nocturnians, and I did not speak out because I was not a Nocturnian. Then they came for the Avalonians, and I did not speak out because I was not a Avalonian. Then they came for the Kaliphlinites, and I did not speak out because I was not a Kaliphlinite. Then they came for me, and I gathered all my friends and beat the Drow into the sea. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Nice poem. Have we inspired you Mitgardians to read and write? Quote
