So, I've been thinking about changing my profile picture. I try not to do that too often because I know it can lead to some confusion when you start posting but no one recognizes you. That being said, if I do change do you all think I should change to one of my characters (GoH or SoNE), something I built, or a TLG Lego character I find affinity with?

@MKJoshA: I agree that an avatar change can be confusing! I get to know other EB members by their avatar and it looks odd when it changes. Changes are not bad, though, as long as they are infrequent. I would pick a GoH minifigure, but I am a bit biased. Since you are now a SW Regulator, though, a SoNE character might work better for you. I agree with SK that figs work well as avatars. I think builds work as well, but figs are better. I also think a customized figure is better than an official LEGO character, as it makes it more personal.

I originally planned to change my avatar somewhat frequently but have left it, even though it's not very GoH-y. I think I'll be changing it soon and then leaving it for a few more months.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! In other news. I just stopped by my local Lego store and found short legs in light bley, blue, and a new lighter shade of blue. Can you say dwarf material? Oh Yeah!

For anyone interested, I wasted my time this morning photographing my castle armies for the "Post your Castle Army Here" topic instead of building  .

My armies are pictured in the topic here as well as on my Flickr album.

I hope to still get some building done yet, but I do not have as much time left as I had hoped.

Hmm, I personally would go with a minifig, preferably a GoH character (but then, I can't say that I'm without biases  ).

Back from Iceland, every Mitgardian should go there too, it's one of the most amazing countries you can actually visit!

Jonathan Maximus was taken from his family at age 6. At age 10 he fought way from his captors and lived on the streets until age 19. At age19 he became a viking general after impressing a caption with his bravery in a fight.

Should be posting my Category A build for Challenge III soon. The large build I'd been working on has been completed and photographed, but because I'll be using it for Challenge III, it will be a bit before I post it :classic:

I'm having a bit of trouble with building techniques for larger Lego statues. I know what pose I want, but not the best way to achieve it. Does anyone know if there are any tutorials on making bigger statues?

Posted

@MKJoshA: Sorry, I do not know of any tutorials on statue making. I have plenty of ideas myself, but I am building for the Men's side .

@SoccerKid: I am looking forward to your large build!

I have posted my Challenge III Category A build: Intrigued by Intrigue.

How are everyone's Challenge III builds coming? This thread seems somewhat abandoned, and I hope that is because everyone is busy cranking out amazing builds for Challenge III.

I am making progress on my Category B and C entries, but I took a break tonight to finish another AoM build:

Keld's Clear-Thinkers' Ale - Inn Phase I
