Spader Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Map update coming soon! Last chance for any requests! Can you add the town of Arkadia? It's directly north of Skaljarik. Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I think it'd be good to have only established cities on the map. I personally have 3 different cities I've created in my story, but I'm only including the one I have more than 1 build for. Since 1 of your cities is already on the map I think we should wait to add a 2nd until there are a number of builds to represent it. It's easy enough in your build explanation to say, "directly north of..." to describe where your city is that your are referencing. Though, if the majority of you disagree with me I'll go ahead and add it in Quote

Infernum Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 But this build http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105674&hl= was right outside Arkadia. Arkadia is where the Local Jarls in my story meet. I think MK is asking if that's your main city. I could be wrong though. Quote
Spader Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I think MK is asking if that's your main city. I could be wrong though. oh. No, it's not my main city. Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I'm just trying to avoid having the map be too cluttered. For now, if you can let me know which of those two cities you want represented on the map then I can make sure it's up to date. If you end up building five or more MOCs for both cities, then I'll put them both on. Fair enough? Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 Sounds fair enough indeed. Before claiming a spot on the map, it's good to see some establishments of your town/city! Quote

MKJoshA Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 A question about our civil war. Will we get the results of our chapter before the Kaliphlinian one starts (more than it already has)? And now, the map you've all been waiting for: Let me know what you think about the removal of the towers. Since they haven't been a part of Book II at all, I thought it would be best to remove them. mrcp6d Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Is there a reason there ought not be multiple maps? One for major settlements, one for watch towers and trade routes, one for major named natural features and landmarks, one for plant life population ranges, one for animal life population ranges, one for.... Not trying to add to you PS workload, but after the main overview map, others make sense to me. Heck, we could do one for the typical snowpack coverage by season. Quote
kabel Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 mk, it's fine like this, the towers were of no use anymore @mrcp: old map and new map should do Quote
Alfadas Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Very nice map! Now it's time to start building... Internship is almost over, only 2 more weeks, then it's 1 week of freetime to spend on MOCing Quote
Blaze Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Hey I made my first brick built dragon, but it doesn't deserve a full topic so i'll post the pics here Dragon first try by jthb.pennings, on Flickr Dragon first try by jthb.pennings, on Flickr Dragon first try by jthb.pennings, on Flickr Dragon first try by jthb.pennings, on Flickr i don't really like the tail and wings, but for a first try I think it's not so bad. Nuju Metru's dragon lands really inspired me to this. Quote
Garmadon Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Awesome and ferocious looking dragon, Blaze, great job for a first try! Anyways, here's a freebuild for AoM House Phase I, The Tale of the Walrus Quote

I for one am done with working on the map for awhile. I know kabel said what we have should be enough for Mitgardia, but I think if anyone wanted to work on other versions (such as typical snowpack) for their own story and builds that'd be grand. I'm willing to share my gimp files with anyone who wants them. Gunman Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Nice one Garmadon! @Blaze idd the dragon deserves its own thread...! Quote
Alfadas Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Nice dragon! Wish I could make dragons that cool! Quote

Yooha Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Was or will be an official result of the GoH CMF competition? Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Was or will be an official result of the GoH CMF competition? We should be determining the Challenge III winners soon, and then we will move on to the CMF competition. Problem is, a lot of management is not available at this time because of heavy workload / travel / work travel / or something else that has kept them away from the boards. Quote
kabel Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Was or will be an official result of the GoH CMF competition? There are ALWAYS winners for competitions, it just takes a while for the people who run things here voluntarily in their free time. GoH has actually become really big. That said, it's good to see you around, it's been quite a while! Quote
