kabel Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Very interesting character Danny, really love the non-Hero Approach here! MK: just wait until we get the pirate game started! Quote
Garmadon Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Welcome to Mitgardia DLL, new members are always great! Between the Kaliphlin Civil War and Andromeda's Gates, it's hard to tell whose on which side any more! Ha, ha, I was sort of thinking the same thing! MK: just wait until we get the pirate game started! Oh boy You guys are really trying to test how much I can possibly build in a week, huh?! Quote
Kai NRG Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Welcome to the guilds Danny, though you certainly picked the wrong one. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) Welcome to Mitgardia! We can always use more traders Thanks for the warm welcome! Hopefully I can impress! Between the Kaliphlin Civil War and Andromeda's Gates, it's hard to tell whose on which side any more! I'm sure you'll have no trouble distinguishing these guys from my Octan character. Polar opposites! Very interesting character Danny, really love the non-Hero Approach here! MK: just wait until we get the pirate game started! Thanks! I am a fan of the non-hero protagonist! Almost to the point that I usually play bad guys... but these guys are simply non-heroic good guys. I will likely draw some inspiration for these guys from my favorite Anime other than "Cowboy Bebop": "Spice and Wolf" They'll see their fair share of action, I can assure you of that! I heard about that. Fortunately for my free time, I know nothing about ships. Welcome to Mitgardia DLL, new members are always great! Thanks! Welcome to the guilds Danny, though you certainly picked the wrong one. You're certain about that? I heard this was where all the cool kids went?... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited July 18, 2015 by Dannylonglegs Quote
MKJoshA Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 welcome back Alfadas! For those who missed it between many photos, here take a group shot *sorry for the guys not included but I couldnt recreate them. Mitgardian glory <snip> BTW, So cool! Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Seeing your figs, I was spontaniously thinking about Chevalier D`Eon actually (Lorenza and partner) Never seen that one! I haven't watched many lately, but that looks cool, (and wiki says it has good reviews) so I may start watching it! I'm not basing my characters directly on the characters from spice and wolf, but more than likely they'll find themselves involved in plenty of "Spice and Wolf"-esque trade intrigue! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Gunman Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Welcome Feliks and Nadine Begonya ! :) @kabel new pirate game starting??!!? Someone buy me some time for mocing please :) Quote
gedren_y Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Welcome, Feliks and Nadine. The Begonya name is known in the far south as well. The Nestlands trade partner, Mitgardian shipping magnate Andrius Hierre, says he has had a couple of Begonyas on one of his ships. Their conduct gambling in Berigora, while successful, had caused quite a stir. The Nestlands Ambassador to Mitgardia, Icemaiden Ryssa Kend, has enjoyed their boisterous company, but expects their employment to be terminated at port in Thorshaven. Quote

soccerkid6 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 All I can say is that you weren't listening to an unbiased news report! It's a generally accepted fact that Mitgardia is the coolest guild, and also the top guild. Really there's no way you could say otherwise, factually speaking... Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Chul is back to support his brother in kicking some Algus megablocks! Quote

mrcp6d Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 So, I'm throwing my hat in the ring, my gauntlet down, and several other objects on my table to support Mitgardia! No need to experiment so much with the phenomenon the Masters at the University of Petra call "gravity"! Good to have you on board Danny! Chul is back to support his brother in kicking some Algus megablocks! Looking good Ecc! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Sometimes I do entertain notions of switching to Mitgardia, when I see awesome figs like these! Wow, those are great eccs, where are those torsos from? They're one of the dwarves from the Hobbit. Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Thanks guys! Just love making fig combo's And it's indeed a hobbit torso: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=lor046#T=S&O={"ii":1} Quote

Alfadas Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 So, I was messing around with bricks for the first time in a few months (I know, way to long), trying to get a decent roof, that I can build with the limited and weird selection of bricks/plates I have. Here is what I came up with, any tips on how to improve it? Or does it look just fine? Just imagine there is an actual building under it, instead of just a desk. Quote
Garmadon Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Nice roof you've got there, Alfadas! If you are planning on making the entire thing out of cheese like this I would include some 1x1 plates and tiles to break it up if you had them. Also, I would try to put something in the A section under the roof, possibly a brick with a technic pin hole and a 1x1 dark gray plate sticking in. Anyway, glad to have you building for Mitgardia again! @SK, Quote

I am definitely going to add the 1x1 plate thing, and once I use this roof, I will break it up in some way. I also found out that I can place a figure on the roof, without the studs. There is a slight edgethingy, where the legs can stand behind. Also, Just came in my mind, with this design, it is pretty easy to add a windowthing ( google translate says it's a dormer?), vertically out of it. I don't know the English word for it... In Dutch it's dakkapel. Quote
