Pyrovisionary Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 "We were positioned above the Prisoners and Evacuees, who would walk down with all their possessions, (precious few things at that) , to be moved to a less dangerous sector. Of course, they have to get past the Empire on Bespin first, but everyone knows that Stormtroopers can't shoot so if I were leaving I'd be more worried if they were aiming for the ship next to mine. Still, we've captured a few Imperial officers; they're off for questioning I think. No resistance. Jon McEncy. End log" My entry for episode 1 . I can't really make anything big, so I decided on a chunk of corridor. The lighting isn't good but I couldn't help that. I'm going to make a few free builds after this. Quote
Hobbythom Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I like it! It is small but effective. Like the way the arms and bars are attached tot the base. Could you add more evacuees.. Would liven the scene up! Quote
Nom Carver Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I would recommend adding more civilians so it feels like it's actually "raining evacuees", I really like your railings . Quote
Artizan Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Yeah more citizens would be better, especially people who are moving their stuff. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I like it, Pyro. The style isn't true Cloud City as seen in Empire, it's more of a combination of that and the Death Star, but it looks plausible. I'd like to see more action with the minifigs, though; I'm not entirely sure what they're doing, especially with the Imperial just walking by. Quote
Esurient Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Nice and cute vig! No resistance from the Imperials?! Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) I'll add more evacuees when I update everyone, and thanks for the constructive criticism! I like it, Pyro. The style isn't true Cloud City as seen in Empire, it's more of a combination of that and the Death Star, but it looks plausible. I'd like to see more action with the minifigs, though; I'm not entirely sure what they're doing, especially with the Imperial just walking by. It's rather hard to see but the imperial officer is bound up. I was going for a more lower level cloud city rather than the upper levels seen in EsB. Also I don't have the parts to build it nicely like that. Edited August 14, 2013 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Ah, now that you mention it, I see the handcuffs just barely visible there. Maybe move one of the troopers down there to escort him and make his having been captured clearer? Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 It's a nice little build and quite some detail in it. I really like the windows and the bordered floor vents. Maybe the blue just isn't the best color for the border. Also to make it look more like Cloud City, I'd add a wall behind your guys - a white or light gray one that is. I think it would add something to the vig, since now it looks like it's outside and you're standing on a balcony or something ... Quote
Sebeus I Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I like the floor with the vents in it, very nice, although I'm not really a fan of 'illegal' building techniques (how you attached the railing). Well done . Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 So that's a rain of one evacuee and one prisonner? Considering the size, it's really nice and detailled... maybe meore evacuee would be cool Quote
